Might be from the tip of the tail. In which case the snake might be much bigger. Maybe something like this might capture its size, or show where it comes from. . https://www.lazada.co.th/products/5mp-720p-wildcamera-night-version-photo-track-i4239041629-s16741415334.html?clickTrackInfo=query%3Atrail%2Bcamera%3Bnid%3A4239041629%3Bsrc%3ALazadaMainSrp%3Brn%3Af159f740fc0e2198f1eceefc11af2abe%3Bregion%3Ath%3Bsku%3A4239041629_TH%3Bprice%3A536%3Bclient%3Adesktop%3Bsupplier_id%3A100185708012%3Basc_category_id%3A7501%3Bitem_id%3A4239041629%3Bsku_id%3A16741415334%3Bshop_id%3A1722517&fastshipping=0&freeshipping=0&fs_ab=1&fuse_fs=0&lang=th&location=ต่างประเทศ&price=536&priceCompare=&ratingscore=4.0&request_id=f159f740fc0e2198f1eceefc11af2abe&review=2&sale=4&search=1&source=search&spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.i40.42df2d93mkqY0a&stock=1

Well that's me f****d. My doctor, dentist, local supermarket and gym are all more than 15 minutes drive away. Also King Charles won't be happy. How will he get from Buckingham Palace to all his other residences in 15 minutes. And 15 minutes drive from Asok BTS when its heavy rain will get you to...Asok BTS.

Another zero dollar business? -
I wonder if large numbers of bank accounts being closed en masse will affect the bank's share price.

It's becoming more common now, but this has been going on since before Brexit. The way I see it, there are only two options. Feel free to add more if you can think of any. 1. Open an offshore account. Will likely be expensive. 2. Basically lie. Use a family member's or trusted friend's address. Bear in mind that trying to open a new account, the bank might require proof of address such as Driving Licence, or Council Tax Bill.

Aussie dad gets into fistfight with monkeys on Ko Phi Phi in Thailand
phetphet replied to webfact's topic in Krabi News
Vicious creatures. Can give a nasty bite. Plus the risk of rabies. There was a case in India a few months ago where the Macaques starting attacking and killing all the dogs in the town after one attacked a monkey. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gw5O5oX67Gs -
i don't know if it's me, my changing palate, the economy, or that I live in a tourist area, but Thai food nowadays in most places just doesn't seem to be as well made and tasty as it used to. Dishes seem far more oily, far more sweet, less care taken. even in some of the hotel restaurants. Don't get me wrong. There is still some excellent Thai food to be found. Just less common. Even in the night food markets, where cheap tasty food used to be a staple, there seems to be a race to the bottom. No more tasty stir fries. All pre-cooked stuff. I wouldn't be surprised to see Russian food on the menu soon. Had a delicious Khanom Jeen yesterday with drink and dessert for around 120THB.

Bank Account Before Retirement Visa
phetphet replied to FreddieMercury's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I think he did. I advised him to ask for it as the girls get a commission, so it might help swing it. He was lucky, as a week or so later, I went along to get a resi cert to change name on motorbike and Samui Imm Office refused. Said they have stopped issuing them. -
Bank Account Before Retirement Visa
phetphet replied to FreddieMercury's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
He had a copy of his passport ID page, copy of TM.30 and a letter from the hotel saying he would be staying for six months I think. Once he got the resi cert he went along to BKKBK and opened the account. He had to leave Thailand shortly after due to problems back home and only returned this weekend. I went along with him to the bank to pick up his ATM card. Next job is the Non Imm O. I think it was you who actually gave me some advice when helping him to do this back in January. -
Bank Account Before Retirement Visa
phetphet replied to FreddieMercury's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
A friend opened a BKKBK bank account here in Samui in January, in preparation of converting a visa exempt to Non Imm O, while he was staying in a hotel. He had a residence certificate, a letter from the hotel that he was staying there for several months and that he needed the bank account for depositing the 800,000THB.. Best to try branches that deal with a lot of foreigners. Those branches have more experience dealing with the problems we encounter here. -

I have rimless frames from a company called Silhouette. Can't remember cost as I bought them several years ago. Might be worth a look: https://www.silhouette.com/en/optical-eyewear?rim_type=rimless https://www.silhouette.com/en/optical-eyewear/men

They do have checkouts that only accept payment by QR code. If you queue up in them and can't pay by this method, they will just send you to another checkout. Seen many people there grumbling after queueing and being turned away.

It's been a requirement for at least five years. If I recall correctly, originally only acceptable if obtained from one particular clinic. That didn't last long, and now acceptable from most places. My last one consisted of, "Hold your arms out straight in front. Now turn them palms up. Ok. Pay over there."

Yes. Totally my fault. I should have checked the passbook before leaving the bank. As for the 12 month statement, I believe it was introduced around the time they changed the rules about THB 800,000 being kept in the banks for three months after application, and three months before renewal. Another particular Samui requirement is the need for a medical certificate (issued no more than seven days before application for renewal of extension.)

Happened to me in January at Samui IO. It's not a new thing. Got the 12 month statement, and bank letter as I always do from K-Bank and asked staff to update my passbook. Got to immigration and notice last entry in said book was a while back. Had to go back and deposit THB100, update passbook again, then go and get another photocopy. I have asked for a 12 month statement for at least three years now, after being turned away at immigration with a 3 month statement and having to pay the bank again to do the 12 month.

But couldn't you do it in two separate orders? Or would postage and packing costs make it not worth while?
