Are you sure it is the landlord who is holding the deposits and not the letting agent? if they are holding them and are trying to keep them, that may be why they don't want you talking to the landlord.

I agree. I was reading an article where it said that scammers are even changing QR codes in public places. So even scanning a QR code, let's say for example in a coffee shop advertising "Scan this for 25% off your next order, could lead to people being scammed. -

The government really needs to educate the population on these sort of scams. People are becoming more aware, but I feel these type of scams and how to avoid them should be publicised a lot more. The explosion of digital banking since covid has opened people up to these sort of stings as almost everyone now has banking apps on their phones. -
I saw a Youtube video a few months ago. An 84 year old American doctor who was still weight training and had good muscle mass and definition. But he was taking supplements including testosterone to help maintain this. Can't remember his name or find the video.

I've done it for the last two or three years here in Samui. Getting it done at Kasikorn is no problem. I think it is to do with ensuring the 800,000 hasn't dropped in the required periods.

Are Tops taking over the Family Mart outlets? I have noticed in the last few weeks two new Tops Daily outlets opening. each one replacing a former Family Mart. One in Choengmon and the other on the ring road heading up the hill to Makro, on the corner of Soi Phra Khao?

That's how scammers work. They prey on people who lack the knowledge of how these things work. Many lose their life savings. She didn't just download the app. She was persuaded to by someone that she genuinely thought was from the Land Department, who had many of her personal details. I doubt she would have done so if she had any inkling it was a scam.

By then MFP or what ever new party they form might not only have PIta campaigning for change, but also Thanathorn, whose ban from politics should be expired. Imagine those two together, pushing the "Remember how we were cheated last time narrative". -

I am not implying anything. I am simply stating that by forcing customers to use smaller screens, with smaller font, there are likely to be more errors. Especially for elderly people or those with bad eyesight.. The Thai banks are creating this likelihood. Personally, I can use the banking apps, but still prefer to things through the computer due to bigger font, more screen estate.
