  1. “In total, we plan to divest around 500 Shell-owned sites a year in 2024 and 2025.” “The share of electric cars in new car sales has increased from less than 3% in 2018 to 18% in 2023,” the company said. In 2023, the company had 54,000 charging points globally. It hopes to grow that to 70,000 in 2025, and to 200,000 by the end of the decade. https://www.carscoops.com/2024/03/shell-to-dump-1000-retail-locations-by-2026-as-it-expands-ev-charging-infrastructure/
  2. “EVs are too expensive” ”ICE cars are way cheaper” ”Most Thais can’t afford a new car let alone an EV”
  3. I own 2 EVs, an electric motorbike and an off-grid home solar system. As the OP let me try to continue your education. EV battery costs fell 97% between 1991 and 2018 to $181 per kWh The world’s largest EV battery manufacturer CATL is now saying that by the middle of this year the price of EV batteries will have fallen to $56/kWh The 8 year 70% warranty on my latest EV means that during the first 8 years if the capacity of my battery has fallen to below 70% it will be replaced for free. Even at 70% capacity my EV would have over 400km of range. Your fears about EV batteries are unfounded.
  4. This question establishes that you know absolutely nothing about EVs You’ve obvious don’t know that most EVs come with an 8 year 70% battery warranty. Owls might be wise but apparently not this one
  5. Several MG EVs - Search this discussion to get many comments from owners To buy secondhand in Thailand: https://www.one2car.com/en/used-cars-for-sale/mg?fuel_type=Electric&page_size=26&sort=price.desc
  6. Best to watch this video to make sure you have your facts right. Prices of second-hand cars are always compared to the list price of new cars despite the fact that nobody actually pays list prices. In Thailand second hand prices for all cars seem inflated to me. Used Teslas being advertised above new price. https://www.one2car.com/en/cars-for-sale/tesla/thailand_bangkok-metropolitan?page_size=26&page_number=1&sort=price.desc
  7. Yet again we have evidence that EV Haters are incapable of undertaking even basic research "Doh! What a surprise 😮" Explains why everything they post has to be fact checked https://www.worldcarawards.com/files/2024_WCA_TOP_THREE_IN_THE_WORLD.pdf
  8. The World Car of the Year finalists are all electric and are all available to buy in Thailand. The BYD Seal, the Volvo EX30 and the Kia EV9
  9. Might be a communication problem. You don’t need an inverter (which converts DC to AC or AC to DC) You do need a controller which is normally included. You only need batteries if you want to use the pump after dark. It is usual to oversize PV panel wattage as you won’t get the maximum wattage most of the day. I have 4 solar pumps, they produce a lower flow rate when the sun comes up. I wouldn’t recommend buying PV panels from Thaiwasadu as they are not competitively priced. They are ฿10 per Watt last time I checked, while a specialist solar shop should give you a better price. This is a video I made about a solar pond pump I setup for a local school a few years ago
  10. Study shows BYD Seal and Dolphin are two of the world’s safest cars with the Seal ranked first and the Dolphin second https://carnewschina.com/2024/03/13/study-shows-byd-seal-and-dolphin-are-two-of-the-worlds-safest-cars/
  11. I have a couple of videos on my channel of me doing 4 second 0-100km/h in the Seal AWD , no stutter or wheel spin. Everything about my car is stock. Roads were not wet or greasy.
  12. Any vehicles we see up here in Surin that are the least bit unusual or expensive have BKK plates on. All the Tesla I've seen here have BKK plates on them - so what?
  13. It’s a pointless post. If you want a Tesla, you have to go to BKK. There are only 2 dealerships in Isaan for BMWs. A list of where EVs are registered tells us nothing.
  14. What @vinny41 doesn’t seem to understand about new vehicle registrations in Thailand is that the first registration is done by the dealer in the province where the dealership is located. I live in Surin, that has MG and GW dealerships. My first EV was an MG and was registered in Surin, but my BYD was registered in Buriram by the dealer. All the list of registrations above tell us is where most dealerships are located not where the EV owners actually live. So yet again a completely pointless post.
  15. The Ciaz sold only 26 units in Feb, it was outsold by most EVs, proving your statement incorrect as usual.
  16. Suzuki had to do something about the Ciaz, they can't give it away. Thanks to @Pib for the figures
  17. So some Feb 2024 sales were dragged into January with EV incentives being reduced, big deal. The YTD figure are way up
  18. "EV's are over rated" Based on your extensive knowledge of EVs - oh yes you actually know bugger all about EVs just talking out of your ... "too expensive for most Thai folks" You could argue that any new vehicle is too expensive for most Thai Folks, but as you can buy an EV in Thailand for less than a Suzuki Swift you can't claim that they "Too Expensive"
  19. Interesting that many reviewers suggest that the entry level MG4s are the best value for money. The X-Power has the same performance as a BYD Seal AWD but most reviewers state that apart from the 0-60 time it’s not much different to a regular MG4 The green colour is an expensive add on. Having said that I bet it will surprise a few performance cars at the lights.
  20. Hoist with his own petard You have no "direct experience" of Chinese EVs
  21. This discussion should be closed as it has simply turned into yet another EV and China bashing fest. The OP won’t get any more help with their request for feedback from owners of Chinese EVs as the majority of posters are simply here to troll
