  1. That, too, is about as profound as the OP's question...
  2. So now you're critiquing movies you haven't bothered to watch?
  3. I've never encountered a group so proud to be ignorant.
  4. Bond villain and Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy, among dozens of other roles. https://screenrant.com/dave-bautista-roles-ranked/ You'd have to not be paying attention to not know who Bautista is, in any country that has talkies.
  5. If you are authorized to work in the USA by DHS, you can get an SSN. In fact, you need an SSN to work legally. With all the programs available today for asylum seekers, that means that illegals who have been paroled into the USA and have received permission to work, can get an SSN.
  6. My post isn't aimed at him. It's aimed at people who come to AN for valid visa information. Normally, I remind people that it's my experience and YMMV, but I got lazy. Frankly, I don't understand why the Mods allow such misinformation to stand. It doesn't do anyone any good, and destroys the forum's credibility and value as an information source.
  7. That's news to me. I've entered Thailand 16 or 17 times in a row, on visa exempt. Once a month since April, 2023. I fly in to BKK and stay a few days each visit. I'll post back if I ever do get knocked back or called aside for extra scrutiny, but so far it's been all smiles and stamped in. So I'm pretty sure it's not the number of entries causing the issue.
  8. He also ignored submarine warfare and the atrocities committed by the Japanese. It was a 2.25 hour chat, not an 8 semester history class. I think what really got him (and Carlson) in trouble was their discussion of the deleterious effects of unfettered immigration. But the left couldn't argue that one on the merits. Carlson and Cooper are right on that one. So they called him a holocaust denier, and nobody's allowed to listen to holocaust deniers about anything, even their Mom's recipes. What's telling here in this thread is the number of guys who adopted a position based on a few out of context soundbites, and make an argument against the guy without even listening to what he actually said. That's why the MSM is so dangerous. They say anything often enough and the lefties will fight you to the death (and vote) based on those soundbites.
  9. I doubt we'd even notice the difference. It's not as if Biden was running anything the past 3-1/2 years.
  10. You've never heard of strategic ambiguity? That's why Putin didn't attack Ukraine on Trump's watch like he did on Obama's and then Biden's. There's no telling what the crazy bad orange man would have done... Obama and Biden were absolutely predictable.
  11. When are you expecting the water from the storm around Hanoi? Or will that all go elsewhere, beside Bangkok?
  12. I took commercial mini-vans twice in Thailand. The first trip was so bad I thought it had to be a fluke. The second one was worse. Big buses and trains for this boy... If I had to travel the roads where no buses go, I either drove myself or hired some co-workers' spouses, who were excellent drivers.
  13. Except that, through federally insured deposits, the taxpayers are on the hook if the banks fail, like they did last time the banksters made home loans to people who had a high probability of defaulting. Like the 85% of illegal asylum seekers who historically lose their cases and may have to leave the country. The banksters made their commissions on the so called "Liar Loans", and for years. Edit: And I would add that the FDIC and FSLIC (and others) didn't sell the foreclosed properties to the peons to allow them to buy a distressed home on the cheap. They bundled them into multimillion dollar packages so only their corporate donors could afford to buy them, and mark them up to sell to the peons. More corporate welfare.
  14. That's why I won't pony up for Business Class, at about $50-$100 an hour more than cattle class. I scooped dog poop from Mrs Junker's back yard for less than $1 an hour back in the day. No way I'm spending 50-100x that on a marginally more comfy seat and a cloth napkin that I don't even get to keep. But, I digress... I always ask myself this... Would an American do that job for $100 an hour? If yes, you don't have a labor shortage, you have a wage shortage. Exacerbated by illegal immigration.
  15. I just about spit in my coffee when NYC mayor Adams revealed that the city needed $12 billion to support 110,000 migrants for 3 years. That's about $36K a head, per year. So corporate donors can save a few bucks on cheap labor... Sometimes, they say the quiet part out loud. It's a transfer of wealth. From the taxpayers to the corporate donor class.
  16. Come back after you know what the guy you're attacking actually said. Until then, you're arguing from ignorance.
  17. If you actually listened to the conversation (can't really call it an interview), you would know about the relatively newly found correspondence from camp commandants back to HQ complaining that they don't have resources to care for the prisoners they've taken, and suggesting that it may be more humane to kill them quickly than to starve them to death. But you'd have to listen to the conversation, take note of where that correspondence came from, and actually engage in some independent thought. It's easier to be spoon fed what you should think. The problem with Carlson and Cooper is that they're both against unfettered immigration, and they discuss why. The WH and MSM can't have those thoughts floating around. So they attack them as Holocaust Deniers and Hitler apologists. Which they are not, if you listen to what they say, and not what the MSM attributes to them.
  18. Scott Adams (of Dilbert fame) offers up an excellent explanation for that in his book LoserThink. People with good arguments, use them. People with no arguments, attack their opponent, not the argument. (I'm paraphrasing). But I doubt they'd read Scott Adams, either. Contempt prior to investigation...
  19. Why does soap taste weird?
  20. As I read the OP, the guy has spent all but 9 months of the last 3-1/2 years in Thailand. All on various extensions.
  21. It's a rainy afternoon here, so I watched the interview. All 2 hours and 15 minutes of it. It could be condensed. A lot. But then there would be accusations of editing and fakery. Just a few minutes on WW2 at all, and no Holocaust denial. Just the same mention as in the OP that Hitler went East with no provisions to care for the millions of POWs, political prisoners and natives they'd be imprisoning. It wasn't just Jews. It was anyone that stood in the way. His mention of WW2 was mostly a teaser for a series that he's working on, to release as a Podcast in about 6 months. It was a fascinating discussion, and I suggest you keep a notepad in front of you to compile a reading list, because he refers to the sources of the statements he makes. He's extremely well read, speaks well, and I didn't catch him in any fibs that I could identify. Not that I could confirm about 75% of what he said, because he's much better read than I'll ever be. You won't like the interview if you're a globalist, a warmonger, a Churchill fanboy, or in favor of unfettered immigration. I can't disagree with any of his Churchill facts, but I'm not sure I agree with his analysis. Like Carlson's Putin interview, it was long. Unlike the Putin interview, Carlson interrupted a lot. I don't recommend spending the time if you're not interested in history and a new way to view the current angst in the West over immigration. Also a very interesting bit about Jonestown (with the Kool-Aid), which is another one of his Podcasts. https://tuckercarlson.com/tucker-show-darryl-cooper
  22. Does Thailand have any live webcams showing river conditions? Or, as an alternative, do any Thai social media accounts take time lapse videos of the tide going in and out, up and down? I have some mesmerizing time lapse videos of storms blowing through, taken at my Bangkok apartment and various hotel balconies around Thailand. I'll post up YouTube links next time I'm in Thailand where YT isn't blocked. They're in my YT account, but not public so I can't link them from here.
  23. You don't want to listen to it, fine. Remain ignorant. I want to hear and understand opposing viewpoints, even the ones I vehemently disagree with. It's impossible to defend against even a radical idea without understanding where it comes from, if only to identify the holes in their logic, or lack of it. And that's my right of free speech. Not to be blocked from hearing opposing views.
  24. The country lost 438,000 full-time jobs in August, with the month’s net job growth coming entirely from gains in part-time employment, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data released Friday. You didn't even read the link, did'ja? Much less look at the actual data. Part time jobs. With no 401K, no health insurance, no future, and no qualifying for a home loan. Living the American dream. If you drill down into the numbers, it's even worse for native born 'Muricans. They're taking it in the shorts under Harrisnomics.
  25. Get a bigger sticker that you like and slap it over the one you don't.
