Stage Nine Absurdity and the Box That Broke the President

Stage 4, Gleason score 9. -
Eventually, you'll wish you had Bluetooth. Maybe not today, but soon, and for the rest of your life... And a video player I remember when I paid more for a 1.5" screen video player than I pay today for a full feature smartphone with a Full HD screen and beaucoup GB of storage. You don't actually have to put a SIM in it if you don't want a phone. But you get the benefit of the economy of scale. They make gazillions of them and they even sell last years' models at lower than MP3 prices. And you can connect to wifi to download tunes. I could never do that with an MP3 player.

Guilty as charged. And not ashamed at all. I also give up my seat on the BTS and MRT to little kids and old people.

I gave up my rebel without a clue phase long before I started traveling internationally. Nowadays, I spend all my time in China and Thailand and I have no problem conforming to their social norms. I also wear long pants and a collared shirt whenever I'm out in public (except the pool and the beach). Unlike a lot of foreigners, I care what they think of us. If my wearing a mask lets them be more comfortable, I'll wear a mask. It's no skin off my nose.

I think it's more nuanced than that. Taking myself as an example, before Covid, I never wore a mask. I didn't even know where to buy one. While being muzzled for about a year by law, I realized that they were beneficial in circumstances like dusty wind, cottonwood season, sucking diesel fumes, etc. They were a PITA at most times and I was very happy when they rescinded the mandates. Today, I have absolutely zero fear of Covid or flu or the creeping crud. But I still wear a mask occasionally. Partly because they've become ubiquitous. If there's dust in the air, I pull one out. If over half the people around me are wearing masks, I pull one out. When I walk into a hospital (several times a month), I pull one out. And it's not out of fear.

Tourism Island Overload: 10,000 Flock to Koh Samui Every Day
impulse replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
In a truly functional system, they'd use this opportunity to raise hotel and other tourist taxes to invest in improving the resource. Things like solid waste, water and sewer, roads, etc. Tourists unable or unwilling to pay the higher prices can go elsewhere. That would help restore the balance. Sadly, if they did raise those taxes in Samui, the extra money would be siphoned off and they still wouldn't improve the conditions for high end tourists and the locals. And they'll continue their race to the bottom, based on body count and not on quality. And trash will continue to pile up and water will continue to smell funny and front end alignment businesses will continue to thrive. -
If we ignore the past, they'll try it on again next time.

2 years ago, my post would have been deleted. Edit: In fact, a lot of them were. It was okay if I just mentioned my vaccine injury, but I got deleted every time I mentioned that mine wasn't the only one.

Here's the experiment I suggest: Hack up a big lugey and spit it as far as you can. Then try it with a mask. I'm not anti-mask. I keep one with me for bad air days, especially around pollen and construction and agriculture. I just draw the line at others mandating my behavior, and I don't try to mandate others.

Out of curiosity, what's your intended application?

I had to look up "grafter" because it apparently has several meanings. One of them is "hard working and focused". So, not necessarily related to graft. I wonder if it's coincidence that 46 kg is 2 bags at 50Lb each? -
Was it against the law to make me fly in broken seat
impulse replied to steven62's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
OP, please post back with the results. It happened to me, but on a much shorter (int'l) flight. I just sucked it up for 4 hours. I figured the option was deplaning and waiting for another flight, and that definitely wasn't in my plans. My guess (and that's all it is) is it depends on which airline and which international convention they fly under. Now I'm curious based on Pouatchee's post. -
Radiation and chemo is a sh*t show, as are the meds that deal with the pain. I'm dealing with that on a personal level with a loved one. There is no way that guy was going to be competent to lead the free world with that going on health wise. But the Dems would have still run him if he hadn't botched the debate. Then they'd have covered for his oxycontin addled behavior, just like they covered for his senility. We dodged 2 bullets in November. A soon to be drug addled Biden and Kamala, who needs no further explanation to anyone with more than half a brain.

Just one more example of the many lies on the left. I'm so glad we dodged that bullet.
