Are the USA and Europe heading for a Divorce?
impulse replied to Robert_Smith's topic in Political Soapbox
In lefty bizzaro world, anal extraction is considered a valid research method. Along with navel gazing. -
And in a few months when the killing and dying end and the rebuilding starts, they'll find something else to hate on him for.

I stayed in HH a few times, usually at the behest of other couples I knew from work. I enjoyed it. But, as others have pointed out, the road down was pretty miserable. I suspect that's because we were following the weekend crowd on Friday nights. I recently arrived in BKK on a Friday night and felt sorry for those headed to Pattaya on the taxi ride going the other way. It was gridlocked the entire way. That's the way the road to HH felt.

Passenger Van Overturns After Tyre Blowout, Leaving Many Injured
impulse replied to Georgealbert's topic in Isaan News
It would have been nice to see a photo of that tire. I quit taking kamikaze vans after my 2nd trip. The first one was so white knuckle bad I thought it must be a fluke. The second (and last) trip confirmed that it wasn't. I'll still take a van that's been arranged by friends or the company with a driver that they know personally. But never a random driver again. -
RFK Jr. issues rule barring public comment on HHS rulemaking
impulse replied to placeholder's topic in Political Soapbox
100% true. I'd have been blocked from giving input had I wanted to go in and testify how my vaccine injury has affected the quality of my life. Now, they're also blocking the paid shills. That seems fair. -
Austria’s Far-Right Blocked from Power Despite Election Victory
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The operative word is "won". By the rules as they are. Not the rules that some people wish there were. If they changed the rules, he would have campaigned differently and still beaten Harris. -
Interesting that the EU hive mind on X have all posted the same: Your dignity honors the bravery of the Ukrainian people. Be strong, be brave, be fearless. You are never alone, dear President @ZelenskyyUa. We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace. — Ursula von der Leyen (@vonderleyen) — Roberta Metsola (@EP_President) — António Costa (@eucopresident) — Valdis Dombrovskis (@VDombrovskis) — Manfred Weber (@ManfredWeber) It's as if they all got their talking points and marching orders from the same source. Like the MSM when they called Vance "weird". And their current "constitutional crisis". Not an original thought between them.

Donald Trump has set his sights on Afghanistan’s vast mineral reserves
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
And what does it say about the veracity of those charges that he still won the election? That's why Bondi and Patel are cleaning out the DOJ and FBI of partisan hacks. Americans are fed up with a dual justice system being manipulated to interfere with elections. -
Austria’s Far-Right Blocked from Power Despite Election Victory

And if you changed the rules, they'd campaign differently, and the same candidate would still win. You guys also forget to mention Trump won both the popular vote and the electoral college in 2024. Because Harris was so bad. -
Bangkok Condo Raided Over Illegal Daily Rentals and Cannabis Use
impulse replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
If AirBNB is deliberately (or negligently) facilitating illegal transactions, it seems they should be paying fines as well. -
That, and the high cost of a flight vs a bus or a train is probably why they don't have commuter flights from BKK or DMK to HH. The demand just isn't there. I don't go to HH, but I love Kanchanaburi and showing up minutes before the train departs (100 baht), or the bus station and getting on the next bus which will generally leave in the next half hour (130 baht). You can't even buy a coffee at the airport for that.

It seems like you're confused. The OP is shedding light on the sources of AP's funding. Isn't that a good thing, that readers know where their money is coming from?

It appears that the catch that keeps killing people is that they don't allow new double deckers, but they don't build them from scratch. They rebuild on a decades old chassis that probably keeps its original registration. Seems like that would be easy to fix. If there was a genuine interest in fixing it.

That works if you're calling your family. But I use Skype because they allow me to show my US cell number as the caller ID number. That way, my banks know it's me when I call them to authorize overseas transactions on my debit cards. They still ask me to answer some security questions, but that's not a problem.

In fairness, AP does have some good reporting. But about half of the articles highlighted on the front page of their website are obviously lefty shill hit pieces. ("shill hit" has 4 too many letters and one too many spaces) It must be a challenge to find decent reporters, given the preponderance of the lefty mind virus at those universities that turn them out. Of course, that assumes that they want decent unbiased reporters. I doubt that's in their hiring criteria.

But are they out on the open road? I don't recall ever seeing a double decker outside of a city, where their speed is limited. Except in Thailand. If a London double decker gets into a crash, they don't roll over on a mountain pass. I'll admit that it's fun riding around with a group on a double decker (I've done it on office activities), but they are flimsy.

Who knows? Maybe Trump's plan to balance the budget this year is to let all the lefties buy their name off of the released documents. That would be a huge increase in the revenue side of the gub'ment budget.

Missing Businessman Discovered Dead by Rural Road
impulse replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
Tell me they're going to at least do an autopsy and test for "chemicals" in his blood. How many times has the family been in on it? -
And lefties seem to ignore her statement that this was only Phase 1. More to follow.

Thailand's New 300-Baht Tourism Tax: Aid or Hindrance?
impulse replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Are you claiming the Thai gub'ment has never done a U-Turn?
