Hop on the underground to Lumpini, Si Lom or Sukhumwit Loads of places thither....it's only a few minutes ride to all the cholesterol your heart (doesn't) desire....
i have a motorbike and i know those places but the hassle of travelling that far just to eat and then back again wouldnt be worthwhile
im sure theres somewhere closer that sells farang breakfasts ,i just dont know this area ...............yet
theres hotels all along ratchada rd i will start checking if nobody has any suggestions..........

i suppose it depends how much you trust your potential buyer
and of course the value of the bike has to be a factor
could you imagine letting some young thai kid test ride your 1 million baht + bike
with no re-course or deposit ?
one trick i have learned from bike shops is let them test it with almost no gas in the tank
so if they decide to do a runner on your bike it will run out of gas shortly down the road
so you should be able to get the bike back / catch the thief etc .........
thats what they did to me in yamaha big bike on ratchada rd and even the test area was out back and covered in speed bumps so it was unable to go fast
(not the open road )

you should be blaclisted............lol.
is it nice up there ?

Thats wot happens when you buy illegal counterfeit protein . :-/ or should I say containers with protein written on it.I used Fitwhey Dymatize Elite for many months, the powder some dissolve very fast and some are not. Just don't know why.
Fitwhey can't be trusted? But I have same experience with Phuket Health.com too
in thailand almost anything can be faked although im not accusing any of the previous companies id be suspicious
of any luxury good made in america costing the american price or less over here .........

15k for a good second hand twist and go.
Personally Its cheaper and safer getting around paying people to take you.
Hospital costs here could bankrupt you.
You are not insured for those kind of things ?
I have 2 bikes and a car and love driving.riding them. Its not that bd driving here but it takes some time adjusting to it but its not as impossible as people make it out to be. It of course depends where you start learning. But having your own transportation makes a lot of difference.
But everyone is different.
Rob - the full coverage insurance quotes i got were insane (something like 300 usd a month )
I thought <deleted> them ,il just pay for a doctor in cash ,if and when i need one (hopefully not )
I dont have coverage at the moment either so if a crash/injury happens i just pay in cash

these taxi drivers you are recommending reporting, are they the same ones who carry samurai swords and have been known to use them (and caught on vid doing) to attempt decapitation of farang?
yes ,most will have a weapon or 2
but thats no reason to let them bully you or steal your money
maybe im crazy ,but i dont take shit from aholes and usually when they see i aint backing down they willback dow rather than deal with someone more dagerous
ok ,it might be a nasty result but ive spent the best part of my life in this business so a knife is joke unless
someone is an expert with it and even then if id give myself 50/50 or better no matter what trainig hes had but ........

Actually replaced the wheels not long ago. Still goes well. Maybe keep it as back up
Sent from my LG-D802 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
if you bought mag wheels the first time you wouldnt have had to replace them
i wouldnt buy a bike without mags and tubeless tyres for years now

no cash -no test drive
if he crashes it on the test drive ,id consider it sold
You would consider it sold but laws do not.
good luck getting the cash back through the courts - from what i believe that would take anything up to 7 years
and lawyers fees would exceed the cost of the bike before its over
its ok on a scooter to let someone ride around a carpark ,but i the case of super bikes i would take no chances of some kid
crashing it into a wall because hes never ridden a "real " bike before and leaving me a with a smashed up bike and no money on the table
if he hits another car the BIB will march him to a atm regardless of who owns the bike on paper (ive seen that happen even on rental and borrowed bikes, you <deleted> up in thailand ,you pay, simple as ... )

At Morchit busstation at the taxiqueue a driver was hammered by a supervisor because he did not want to do a ride for a thai customer. I was surprised, as far as i could understand it, the driver was threatened by said supervisor by taking away his license. He drove out of the busstation without a customer.
In all my years coming to bkk and using taxis i have witnessed that more and more want to ride with a fixed price and not use the meter. As there are many taxis just bare the impoliteness and be happy you dont have to do their crappy, lowpaid job.
On a sidenote....inside the taxis the licenceholders photo is usulally never from the driver.....
i had a taxi drive us a the long way home
i asked for his id before paying him as the id holder was empty
my gf thougt i was crazy
i said if he cant identify himself he shouldnt be driving taxis
he wanted wpaid the meter rate for the scenic trip
tried to tell her the short way was closed
we arrived home and i asked to photo his taxi id or thai card becauze i think he purposely took the log way
then he started going mental shouting at her and one of our local shop owners (an old thai woman and her hubby came out to see whats going on)
as aggressive as he thought (twoards a woman obviously ) he might be i was planning to pull his neck off if it came to it
he ended up leaving woith no fair as the locals took our side before it came to violence and called police and he sped off before the police arrived
you just need to stand up to them so they know they bullying tactics they might use o their wives dont work on farangs as well
but whatever you say ,make sure the odds are on your side

You can buy 2 boxes of beers (10 Litres?) anytime of day.
So you can keep a stash for when you feel like a beer or what ever.
As a Greek said to me many years ago - If you are too hot have a little alcohol
But as they say - not on Religious/Polictical days
that would depends on ones polictical /religious persuasion
personally i have no interest in religion or polictics in equal measures so i
just drink when i feel like having 1 (or 20 ) ...............ymmv

if he was a farsng u might have a case - if hes s thai and hes done this deal with her parents the police will probably not want to get involved
(unless theres some kind of envelope for them )

our mango tree is already bare although there was a massive crop of mangos on it this year ,even though i would never eat the mangos from the tree in my bkk garden since i think its taking water supply from the sewer system under my house

That model may not have OTA. So you may have to take it to an I -mobile service centre.
Sent from my XT1032 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Thanks for that, Sadly I am back in Australia now, I should of done it last week while I was in BKK , Any other sugestions or a email address of I mobile service centre maybe they can send me a link for updating it.. Thanks
i would get root access and install a custom rom ,you might be waiting a long time before getting an ota update from i-mobile
How to get my deposit back?
in General Topics

I've gotten a couple back but never without a fight, think of the deposit as a gift to the landlord to get the keys off his house
Then if you get it back its a bonus
