  1. Fully agree and they still elected the left wing loons. Sure makes Thailand look sane.
  2. I stay in hotels in pattaya and bkk. Yes the price during high season is higher buti don't think 200 300 baht is an issue. 5 star hotels that lose money during low season try to make it up. However check out 5 star hotels in big cities Toronto new York and you can see the same gouging. If they're upset about dual pricing g wait until the new bus mrt rules take effect.
  3. I agree that if a person is a nuisance then staff talk to them. If police called automatic should be make them pay bill and either take them to station if not cooperative if cooperative then take them home and tell them to stay. If in a hotel have staff call police if he leaves
  4. An easier way to define it is that a woman has a uterus, and a man does not. That's not something you can simply put into a man It is going to be interesting to see how many of these doctors get good paying jobs and how many end up NHS supported.
  5. No Harry was so whipped that he probably gives everything to his mommy. Any book that she tried to write would be immediately taken to court not only by the Royals and the British government but also Howie Mandel and the staff at Suits. Remember she said a lot of stuff about her time as a briefcase opening bimbo
  6. Car manufacturers have been in a free fall for awhile it dropped 20% last year before TRUMP and the U.S> while significant is not the number 1 trading partner. If it was or is that bad why has no one gone to the U.S., or has a plan been created to solve the issue. I would think the sugar industry would be in worse positon due tonot only the tarriffs but the push against sugar drinks and sugar in food
  7. The fact that ist does not mention his rank or name tells me he is not a high-ranking cop but one of the top cops that just retired. Also most cops that retire do not have aides who retire or work for them after they retire. Also notice there is very little about him. The media seems to be worried
  8. I agree that a pool and air conditioning are a must, but I think all 3-star hotels have air conditioning. There are enough places in most cities to get a good breakfast. I think most peope choose the 5 star because they do not trust the 3 stars. I think with websites like Agoda and others that it is getting easier.
  9. When I first came here i stayed at name hotels. The I realized that the market for hotels is not the average touris t but the dumb rich ones. There is a hotel close to Patpong that used to be a great place to stay. It was older but it still had a lot to offer swimmng pool good food fancy restaurant if you wanted it and dancing. Then the owners decided to upgrade the hotel and of course with the up grade came the upgrade inprice to move it from a 3 star to a 4 star. Same hotel same options nothing really changed except that tey thinkthey are a 4 star. Just read on teh news that it has been bought and the same hotel is going to be rated as a 4.5 star hotel. Same location same basic building. The bottom line is that as long as tourists are going to pay the high rates adn the hotels have profitable occupancy they are going to gouge people. Me I find that I can get a nice room in the 1200 a night range with the same features in a 3 star hotel. After all the only thing you need a hotel for is a place to put your stuff and lay your head at night. Really, all you need is a clean room, clean bedding, and a door that locks. anything else is just over indulging
  10. Usually 100 baht is just easier than figuring out percentages and such. I have tipped 10 baht once for a massage, but let the manager know why i was doing it as i was a regular there.
  11. I have to start wondering reading all the news reports which is worse, Phuket or Pattaya. It seems more and more that Phuket is starting to get lower in the scales. I think the main difference so far is that we read about people having sex on the beach in Pattaya while I am sure a lot of people drink sex on the beach in Phuket. Personally with prices and everything, I read, Phuket really no longer appeals to me due to cost of trip and accommodations I can get almost the sme thing here in Patttaya for a lot cheaper.
  12. Agreed but these are the ones that have been through Boot and are there for a long time. Does anyone know the percentage that stqay in after doing their 2 years.
  13. The nuclear family is disappearing in all countries. Take a look at the number of fatherless children in the U.S. and the girls who want a baby so that they will have someting ot love and be like their friends.
  14. Safety has little to do with it. The tourists they re looking for are the groups and they are so micromanaged they are the safest people here.
  15. I think your no touching premise is dated Holding hands has been okay and is very prevalent in Thai society. Also being close together. Arm around waist seems to be catching on For me holding hands is constant as I am touchy feely
  16. The challenge with vapes is that people don't know what is in them. Kids think it's cool. The government's challenge is tourism if you close sales then you p!ss off tourists. Better to control like they do cigarettes and have quality standards while selling at same location as cigarettes get the street stalls closed
  17. The challenge that thailand has is teaching the students how to function in a real world. American companies are not going to be starting new businesses that create anything because of tarriffs and the benefits that TREUMP is giving them to stay. Thais need to start building things for Thais. Solar panels could in fact be one of those things. Suggestion creaste a solar panel systemthat can recharge some of these electic scooters
  18. Hence THE DONNALD going after these countries with high tarrifs. I agree that factories are closing, but if they want to sell things, they are going to have to build them here. Just replacing made in China with made in Thailand stickers is not going to work.
  19. i think this article will answer your questions https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/general/3009501/foodpanda-delivery-service-to-exit-thailand
  20. The challenge that this country has is the same for any country or area that depends on tourism as it's main focus. If there is any downturn in economies it is going to affect them/ China has and is facing it's biggest bust period in a long time. That means that Chinese people are not gong to have the money to go on trips unless it is the ones set up with groups. Group tours may help some small hotels, but they are not going to boost the economy. The government must take a serious look at where things are made and what businesses there are. Imagine if Red Bull actually was made here in a factory. Imagine if Wacoal and other companies stopped producing outside the country. Thailand is in a sense, in the same boat as the U.S. in that most stuff is produced outside and shipped in. Does anyone remember the Chinese elephant pants stink In a sense all countries need to take a page out of the MAGA book and look at how they can make their countries great again.
  21. Problem is that the EU has its doubts also. Thailand is going to actually have physical factories to show they make it here. This could be good for Thailand's people
  22. Anything to try getting Thais not thinking about their wallets
  23. Tried setting it up but mytello will not accept canadian phone numbers for contacts
