  1. I have had problems in the past with my AC, water spitting out and little spots on the floor underneath the unit. This time the problem is much worse, a pool of water forms on the floor a full 3ft to the right of the unit after it has been on for a while. I put my hand under the unit several times and feel nothing, not even the little spits of water. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
  2. Does any part of the DWP have the authority to ask you to see your passport? I very much doubt it.
  3. I drunk youth riding his motorbike and paid his fine???? You sure do get them.
  4. That's fine thanks, I will watch out for that when booking.
  5. I am going to Bangkok for a few days. I always book a hotel, but because of the pandemic, my thinking is not booking as there will be so much choice. Am I doing the right thing? Also, is it usually cheaper to book, or just turn up and ask about a room? Thanks. I want to book a return flight to the UK, the return being about 3 months later. Is it always easy to change the date for your return as it is almost certain that I will want to? Are there any circumstances when I cannot change the date on my return? Thanks.

  7. The soldiers in government are happy the way things are, the average Thai and their livelihood means nothing to them, then of course there are the thousands of protesters that will have to be dealt with, and that will be no walk in the park.
  8. Why the Saddo?? Do you always get you emails answered? The truth now.
  9. Has anyone ever booked and paid for a flight at the KLM office in Silom Road Bangkok? I tried about 4 years ago and was only shown a phone on the wall.
  10. I feel that if I book a flight at an airlines office, and it gets cancelled, or I have to cancel, I can go to the office personally and make sure I get the refund. rather than depend on emails which I have found so often in Thailand do not get answered.
  11. Yes you are right, I am taking your advice and booking a return flight and then can change the date if I wish. Thanks.
  12. I went to the office to try and book a flight before, when I went in and asked about it the person just pointed to the phone on the wall, I said I wanted to book a flight, but the person again just pointed to the phone and walked away. So think again before being so rude with your answer.
  13. I will be in Bangkok anyway, and would feel a lot more comfortable booking with the airline direct. I used to always do it through a travel agency in Bangkok, but never again, to much trouble to get refund for cancelled flight.
  14. Does KLM have a desk at Swampy where I can book and pay for a flight? If so, what days and times are they available. Failing that, do they have an office in Bangkok where I can do this? Thank you.
  15. Elected by who???????????? the Thai people?? Did any ordinary Thai person put a cross to his name at an official polling station??
  16. I can't disagree with you at all, it would seem I used the wrong words, but all I can say is I would rather have that than what is there now.
  17. What has politics got to do with a bunch of tinpot soldiers who are only fit for their barracks and parade grounds? The unelected PM would probably have difficulty trying to even spell the word. I can't answer your question as I know nothing about any other country's politicians and what qualifications they have. I can't imagine any normal country with a deputy PM being so far apart in qualifications as a health minister with only an engineering degree. It is not as if he has qualifications in anything else. But again, The Banana Republic of Thailand is certainly not a normal country.
  18. I don't have anyone on my ignore list, not even the one or two posters who love the unelected soldier posing as a PM, although I may be on theirs, because if I did I would not see their posts so would not be able to annoy them ????.
  19. "Not that Thailand was not much better in the times of Thaksin than nowadays," I don't know much about Thaksin, but he was the properly elected PM who was in office when I first came to live in Thailand, and the country was much, much better then than it is now, no forcing expats over 50 to be treated like ex prisoners on parole with their 90 day reports, no making it difficult for long stayers under 50 to stay in Thailand in the longer term, all it took was a nice run to the border for a stamp every 90 days. It is only my loving wife and belongings that are keeping me in this Banana Republic of Thailand today.
  20. "She said she wants to gain experience. What's yours?" He may not have political experience, but going by his previous posts, he sure knows what he is talking about.
  21. "she wants to gain more experience before standing for the post of the country’s prime minister." What about the present PM?? Unelected along with his soldiers. The only experience he had with anything before he took the country by force was in the army barracks and parade grounds, and probably with the same low IQ as the average Thai. In the eight years he has been posing as an PM he has learned nothing, ie appointing a guy with an engineering degree as a health minister. Come lass, get into it and help rid this country of the circus of clowns and midgets who are there at present.
  22. Nothing to do with Thailand, it could happen anywhere, but I hope the police can do something about it.
  23. Definitely Scoopy, Fino very heavy on fuel. That is my experience.
