  1. So these things only happen in Pattaya then?
  2. Could it be any worse? Yes! In the UK. Oh wait! At least western governments get voted in by the electorate.
  3. I would say it is a bit more than only an occasional negative, ie the way that different IO's and different branches of the same banks all seem to make up their own rules.
  4. The positives far out weigh the negatives for me, but I am still very angry and feel cheated by Thai Immigration or maybe I should say the Thai government the way things have changed for me since I came to stay in Thailand in 2005. There are a few examples but one of them is I would never have come to Thailand if I knew that I was going to be treated like a criminal on parole with this ridiculous 90 day reporting.
  5. The fact that he is a multimillionaire "Sir" certainly proves that. I wonder if he voted for the "Party of The Working People" himself when he was a young man, say in his twenties.
  6. Even with a re entry permit? I thought the 90 day report started after you arrived at the airport.
  7. Golf is a sport if you are walking the full course and not putiing your lazy @ss in a buggy. but when you have the likes of darts on the same page as football, that is a big No No.
  8. Shooting a gun is not a sport, and neither is fishing.
  9. I still say that any game or pastime which does not require any physical effort is not a sport.
  10. I have got to admit that when I am on my motorbike and someone rides toward me on the wrong side of the road I do give them a blast with the horn, even after being here about 18 years. I do give a bit of leeway with riders riding towards my on the hard shoulder of a highway for obvious reasons, just as long as they don't try to force me into the path of traffic driving on the first lane behind me.
  11. and I don't give a flying fkuc what the IOC think either. I would suggest they take up dominoes then they can say that is a sport as well.
  12. Just what is proper music? If it is played by proper musicians playing proper musical instruments, whether it is Pop, Country, Jazz, Folk or Rock, and not computerised crap, then it is real music. An example of real music and great vocals.
  13. I don't care what anyone says, these same deluded people probably think darts is a sport too. I have seen photo's of darts champions and the vast majority look overweight. Can you post a photo of a Chess champion?
  14. I never mentioned Chess, but No! It is not a sport, there is no physical activity involved.
  15. What is your annual bill for agent, or to become resident or what ever it is you do to avoid ever going to an immigration office?
  16. It would sure be interesting to know.
  17. "safe driving habits," I know this was said in jest, but I have done quite a bit of driving and riding a motorbike in central Bangkok over the years and found it much safer than all the other cities in Thailand. Just my experience.
  18. Why did you mention snooker in a sports topic? Snooker, like Pool and Billiards are not sports, they are just pub games trying to put balls in a hole with a piece of stick. Just like darts it is a pub game full of overweight boozers.
  19. I have done that many a time in Thailand, but mostly to motorbikes. A motorbike blocks me in, so even though the bike is locked I am strong enough to be able to move it out just enough for me to get my bike out then just leave it causing an obstruction on the road.
  20. Follow the rules?? That's fine, as long as they are sensible.
  21. If it is some consolation, apart from what you have just mentioned of which I have had to put up with. many times, Lazada have upset me a few times over the years with a lot of their garbage, cheating sellers and lying staff on the chatline.
  22. "Of course taxes are going to rise, on everybody and everything!" This "Sir" whoever his name is has said that Labour pledged not to raise taxes on the working people. Who does that remind you of? Oh yes! The Thai soldier who said in 2014 "there will not be a coup." Then ruled the country for 9 years. Politicians and so called Politicians????????????
  23. Cameron!! Where have I heard that name before? Oh! Now I remember, he once said" We are all in this together".
  24. "Labour have pledged not to raise taxes on working people." Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!! Every Labour leader in my adult lifetime pledged this, then increased taxes came with every budget that hit the working people badly. Road tax, fuel tax, tv licences, council tax, s.e.t. tax which they introduced in one of their budgets. It was just tax tax tax especially against the working people. anyone who thinks this "Sir" PM is going to be any different is living in LaLa Land. "Labour have pledged not to raise taxes on working people." Again I say Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!!
