Retirement visa in country
dddave replied to radjag's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Make sure you still have a minimum of 15 days remaining on your visa exempt entry when applying for the non-O. -
This is a generic device sold under many names. I have the same machine, not the same name. Sells for as little as B500.

Looking to buy a Compressor Nebulizer fast..
dddave replied to DonnaDwyer's topic in Health and Medicine
Very close to you, one of Bangkok's best pharmacy's. Cross Sukhumvit and walk to Sukhumvit 77, same side as the Big-C. Before you get to Big-C, you will come upon a pharmacy that is so busy, you have to take a queue number. They will almost certainly have the nebulizer. -
Three or four days ago, Lazada suddenly started telling me my login password was incorrect. Long story short, I had to go to "forgot password" and put in a new password that required parameters different from before. Now 8 characters including letters, at least 1 capital, numerals and a special character. I then had to go through a two-step verification to log-in again. Now all good. What I think happened is that without thinking things out, (big surprise) Lazada without warning, initiated new password requirements which negated existing passwords that did not meet the new requirements. I think if OP changes his PW, all will be good.

Overhydration, also called "water intoxication" can be a real risk. In the early 1990s It lead to a tragic death in the Boston Marathon. A young woman from Ecuador, a recent medical school graduate was running the marathon. It was predicted to be a hot day, in the high 80s. Prior to the race start, she decided to aggressively hydrate by drinking a large amount of water in a somewhat short time period. Ten minutes into the race, she collapsed into convulsions and died at the scene. Long story short, water in excess, consumed too quickly can dilute the electrolytes in the blood to such an extent that they do not transmit the necessary electrical stimulus to keep the heart beating. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/318619#summa

When I was building my PC, one thing that was consistently stressed on the help forums was not to skimp on the power supply, to buy more than you think you need and try to buy "Gold". I notice this package has a "bronze" 650 PS. That would be something I'd upgrade. Gigabyte has been getting a huge amount of heat on forums lately. Seems they put out a bunch of substandard GPUs that cracked and self-destructed, then tried to pin all the blame on users, refusing to cover the warranty.

Computer/IT Technician - At Home Service
dddave replied to Siamesepiggster's topic in IT and Computers
This is what I did when my new laptop would not connect with my Fuji-Xerox laser printer. I did have to go to the Fuji-Xerox website and download/install the correct drivers. Everything then worked prefect. -
Have you considered building your own? I am far from a techie but I did and it was both instructive and a lot of fun. REDDIT has a forum: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/ that is fantastically helpful from start to finish. I ended-up with a tower that cost me less than 15,000 baht all in, but that was the equivalent of pre-mades costing twice as much. Got most of my components via Lazada and INVADEIT.COM

Super helpful information: Thank you. Was the B265K for a single knee? Did they discuss the possibility of bone spur re-occurrence?

"The Wild Boar" on Loi Kroh, near soi 1. Had a excellent French Toast and bacon breakfast along with other breakfast offerings. Nice place, friendly staff.

Thanks, Sheryl and also thanks for the contributions of others. I will consult further with my orthopedist but the likelihood of re-occurrence will probably make such a procedure impractical. I have twice been afflicted with life and limb threatening, hospital acquired MSRA post surgical infections. As I am now 80, my risk factor is high, especially with knee replacement surgery being quite high on the list of surgeries resulting in HIA's. Adding to the risk is that both knees need replacement. It's unlikely that both could be replaced in one surgery so two separate surgeries would be necessary. Clearly, I have some difficult risk/lifestyle decisions to make.

One time when I was living in an Udon Thani Moo Ban, they sprayed the paddy fields with a powerful insecticide. Immediately, there was a rush of villagers to pick-out the dead and dying river crabs from the paddy irrigation ditches.

While getting a cortisone injection in my already arthritic knees, the Doctor pointed out bone spurs within the knee joints. He was using some kind of scanning device to view the joints to guide the needle. We were pressed for time and I didn't have time to question him in any depth. Usually, cortisone injections give me immediate relief but not this time and I suspect the bone spurs have a lot to do with that. For many reasons, I have been avoiding knee replacement surgery. The last two days I've been studying-up on arthroscopic bone spur removal but hard facts are tough to come by. Has anybody here had this procedure done locally? I assume not out-patient. How many days in hospital post surgery? How difficult and fast was recovery? What were the costs per knee? Where did you have it done? Any and all information appreciated.

Actually, I think by law, gas bottles are not permitted in residential buildings. Kind of like prostitution also not permitted.

There is a very nice plant store in Jomtien, at the rear of Rampho Market, near the back exit onto Trapasset soi 17. There is another on Trapasset 17, near Trapasset Rd

Thai man physically beat wife to death at construction site in Bangkok

OK, I'll say it. In the US, one in five women are victims of domestic assault from either a spouse or boyfriend, In Australia, one in six, UK close to the same -
Yes. they allowed the small, I think 6.5kg tanks as long as they were stored and used on the balcony. One tank would last 8 to 10 weeks, just me using it.
-
The balcony was well sheltered from the rain though I did cover my stove and kitchen-ware rack. Insects were really less a problem outside than in. Rarely a roach inside the room because no grease or food inside. It was just as important to keep an outside kitchen clean as inside. It was on a 5th floor so dust not really any more an issue that normal. Pigeons were sometimes a problem.
-
Depends entirely on how the balcony faces to the sun. I've had balconies that faced south and had direct sun that were unusable during the daytime. A north-west facing balcony was OK most of the year. May through July direct sun in the late afternoon.

I had a 45 s/m studio in Pattaya for a year, balcony but not sea view. I found 45 s/m enough to use a wardrobe and a bookcase to wall-off the sleeping area from the "Living area". Balcony was large enough to set up a proper kitchen so no greasy smoke from cooking inside. It was actually very comfortable & livable. Paid B6000/m BTW, it was a "Thai style" apartment building, not a modern condo.

In most US states, "Breaking & entering in the Night time" is a more serious felony than daytime. This isn't the 1st time for Colombian B&E gangs here. More than 10 years ago a Colombian B&E gang was arrested in Pattaya. They had spotters in housing estates who would point out homes where the owners were away for extended periods, especially wealthy foreigners who go back to home countries for months at a time. They would go in with moving trucks, showing security false documents saying the home was being sold. It all went directly into containers that were then shipped to S. America. Apparently, there is a lucrative market for used consumer goods of all types in many S. American countries.

Also a branch on Soi Excite, off Soi Chiyaphum (Pothole) in Pattaya. Great breads.

A friend had a very nice 70+s/m 1br with excellent views to 2 sides at "The Ritz" and older, smaller building at the top of Pratimnak-5, next to "Old Rogues Retreat" restaurant. Danish owner.
