  1. “It's cherry pink and apple blossom white When your true lover comes your way It's cherry pink and apple blossom white The poets say The story goes that once a cherry tree Beside an apple tree did grow And there a boy once met his bride to be Long, long ago The boy looked into her eyes, it was a sight to enthrall The breezes joined in their sighs, the blossoms started to fall And as they gently caressed, the lovers looked up to find The branches of the two trees were intertwined” Cherry pink and apple blossom white Mack David
  2. As the poster objects to the mentioning of brexit in threads dealing specifically with the damage brexit has caused, it’s not that surprising really…
  3. You missed out brexit on that list of causes.
  4. I’ll post as I see fit, regardless of how much the truth hurts. If it’s relevant, brexit will be referred to. No worries.
  5. Really? Because a lot of brexiteer proponents and propaganda said otherwise. Nonetheless, the impact of brexit on the U.K.s economic difficulties is the subject of this thread and any discussion of it is valid. No one is forcing you to take part.
  6. The facts speak for themselves. Economically brexit has been damaging for the U.K.
  7. No, I comprehend exactly what you are trying to do with your off topic deflections and attempts to belittle those who point them out to you. You don’t get to say which threads I post on., so please file your suggestion under neither wanted nor required.
  8. I mention brexit when it is relevant, something that appears to upset you and your fellow brexit cheerleaders. The thread topic is backed up by data, hence your attempts to introduce deflection information. How brexit of you. The difficulties in being able to access a huge labour market is indeed one of the self inflicted brexit problems for the U.K. but not sure how that links to your deflections regarding deporting/refusing entry to those who have spent criminal convictions…
  9. Ah, so not only unrelated to the topic but also untrue. Thanks for that.
  10. Yes I get that, though I don’t really see it as an issue unless they are actively engaged in crime. Now, again how does this relate to the theme of this thread?
  11. So you are referring to people with spent convictions who have served their time and been released from incarceration? Also can you tell me how this issue is actually linked to the topic of this thread-that is how brexit has cracked Britain’s economic foundations?
  12. Where does that article mention eu rules meant the U.K. had to accept foreign criminals?
  13. Who said she didn’t pay what she should have as a non dom? I know I didn’t. Regarding her non dom status, she has agreed to stop using this ploy, as shown in the articles I posted links to reporting on how she had agreed to stop using non dom status to avoiding paying tax on her earnings.
  14. In my posts I have not condemned her behaviour. None of my business as far as I’m concerned. What she did and others are doing is perfectly legal. However, you asked for evidence she avoided taxes and I provided it.
  15. She was avoiding paying taxes. Perfectly legally it’s true but avoiding all the same. And let’s be clear, no one has said she was doing anything illegal. Nice to see she has agreed to to end such avoidance as the third and fourth links I posted linking to articles on her agreeing to end tax avoidance make clear.
  16. All those stories discuss tax avoidance. Do try to keep up… Here’s a quote from the Reuters article to help you ”Akshata Murthy, the wife of British finance minister Rishi Sunak, said on Friday that she would stop avoiding British tax on her foreign income” https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/sunak-defends-wifes-tax-status-says-every-penny-owed-uk-is-paid-sun-2022-04-08/

  18. Nope. Anecdotes are not relevant, much like your off topic baiting. .
  19. A: that is not proof. B: this thread is not about you and your alleged anecdotes.
  20. I’m thinking he does.
  21. Yep, his condemnation and lack of empathy were clear. Good to see you agree.
  22. No. The post was clear and typical of this poster.
