  1. Thai Nominee Shareholding Crackdown in Pattaya announced by DSI

Such messages certainly do not promote the investment climate.

It's not like the DSI fights organized crime and money laundering here,

but going against the little ones, like family shops, restaurants, bars, travel agencies, diving schools, language schools, etc.

The advice can only be: Do not start any business with a LTD, if your have not 3 active Thai partners with equal captal.

To open a business with 100% Foreign capital is calculated then only for the investor 49% business share.

From a business perspective this is really moronic.

Sounds advise, but you are a few years too late

    Unfortunately, yes.
I feel pity for the small business owners, who believed their lawyers years ago.

  3. I went to my tailors today and have already ordered my yellow stars of David that the Thais will probably make us wear soon!

Unfortunately, the message comes up with this flavor:
All foreigners who want to make a life and live in Thailand longer: get out

We do not like you, we do not need your creativity and ideas,
but your money you are allowed to leave here.

What has improved lately for foreigners here?
    Any ideas?
  4. My wife is a Thai national; I am a USA national. We live in each country roughly six months per year. But the difference in the way we are treated by each other's native country is night and day. My wife travels in and out of the USA on her Thai passport never needing a Visa. She can work, own property, own businesses, go to school, whatever. She is protected against overt discrimination and welcomed as a tax-paying, contributing part of society. But no matter how long we are married, nor how long we are in Thailand, I can never do any of those things. We are both college educated experienced professionals; but she is welcomed and wanted in my country, and I never will be in hers. Xenophobic or not, it's just plain dumb.

Some for us here in europe.

My wife can work, can own land, can open a business, get health insurance and a pension.

After 3 years she can get a citizenship, get a passport and can vote,

  5. Flexibility well and good.
But the granting of ED visas should not be dependent on the whim of immigration officers.
Some get their extension without problems, while others are tested adhoc, and others need to sing the national anthem.
If they want to test the learning progress, then please nationally uniform.
Furthermore, immigration officials, are not trained teachers.
In my opinion, they are not suitable to assess the learning progress adequately.

On resort stretched out there restaurant area on over 500 square meters of public beach with wooden structures.

With large signs: It is not allowed to bring your own food and drinks to the beach.

  7. The visa and tourist policy appears more and more unstructured, haphazard and ill-conceived.
    Result: Confusion and bad press.

For me only counts what they stamp in my passport:
    Admitted until:....................
    So no overstay, no problem.
If your boss kick you out, yes you need some time to
pack your things, and to be clear with your landlord.
You can come back with a tourist visa or
with a new job and a New B-Visa
    or with a stamp
    Admitted until.................

  8. Last month, I went to the bank (prefer not to say which one) to clear out a problem about a payment to a foreign bank. The young female staff member I had to talk to knew absolutely nothing, she even admitted not being able to read English. But her looks! Sorry no pic. Made me wonder about the motives of the person responsible for hiring her.

That is called the gogo - marketing - strategie.

Put a room full with beautiful women and you don't have to worry about customers.

It doesn't matter if your business model cover an optical Shop, a bar or even a bank.
    It works.
  9. I hope Thailand also creates an opportunity for visitors who want to stay longer which are not married with Thais
and also not have the age for the retirement visa and of course not want to work in Thailand.
A friend of mine is 36 years, has a nice apartment building in Europe with a monthly income of 150,000 baht.
He loves Thailand and would like to stay regularly in Thailand over winter from September to end of April (8 month).
Rest of the year he enjoy the summer in Europe.
He spends a lot of money, rent houses and cars for a long time.
So how he can stay legally in Thailand?
Actually, such long time tourists must be also interesting.
And there are many of these young heirs with money and lots of free time.

  10. The assets and debts explanations are there.
Now it must be carried out a review by a strong independent tax control organization,

They must check all cash and gold positions, car certificates, bank statements, land ownership certificates and corporate Company investments,
    including all family members.
In some cases i would be surprised if all this would be consistent with the declaration.

Furthermore, a review of the sources of income would be useful.
It's surprising how public servants with a relatively low income, can afford the big cars, fine watches, palaces and big land plots.

  11. This one crazy stalker bar girl who doesn't leave me alone has posted some "stickers" on both pictures, some weird smileys with hearts etc, silly stuff. When I clicked on her profile (which is what this uni girl probably did as well) it leads to her timeline that is full of pictures of ME!! blink.png

Your Uni girl can not see the timeline from your bargirl.
You can block the bargirl, so she can not post comments in your timeline.
But the pictures you can not get out from her timeline.
What your bargirl post in her timeline, is up to her.
Delete your profil and open a new one.
Be carefull to give out fotos to crazy bargirls!
  12. Then this must be probably all correct.
But in Thailand one genuine document is often used for a variety of illegal operations.
There was actually this old teak house. Disassembled and equipped with offical documents.
The possible misuse of this authentic document for other illegal timber transports can not be excluded.
For example, how can a normal traffic cop know if the declared wood corresponds with the actual loaded timber?
The tracking systems here are not so sophisticated.
    A residual doubt exists.

  13. I hope that they generally again abolish the 2am curfew in Thailand.
8-10 years ago the closing hour 2am were introduced from Taksin to make his police friends rich.
Thais love to party and socialize.
Tourists also want to have fun on vacation.
Good, if the entertainment centers would have open again around the clock.
Also a lot of money would come in again.
