  1. It was very hot yesterday afternoon and the sea was quite calm and the beach is on the sheltered side of Koh Samet so maybe the guy had a heart attack or stroke if he hadn't been drinking enough water. As someone posted most of the beaches on Samet are good for children with their gentle slopes.

Who do they plan to fight with ??

i wonder how many of the experts posting about aircraft have actually served, flew or maintained a military aircraft?

Me, 26 years, fighter and bomber aircraft maintenance, USAF and the problem with all the engagements since WWII have been screwed with by politicians.

so you just posted so you could boast, I bet the ladies love it when you talk technical.

I watched the video this morning ( read some comments in another item regarding the crash) and it looked to me like the pilot rolled inverted then pushed the stick fwd to raise the nose then pulled the stick back as if he was going to do a loop without enough altitude.

Edit. more experienced guys than me said he messed up an Immelman turn

Dude.. let's just be honest about the fact that America for the past decade lost every war in the middle east and central asia despite any f-16s, f-18s and f22s, where they have been fighting zero air-to-air combat missions. With f35 on the horizon, imagine how many issues this piece of crap already has.

I know what you're saying but the US has been fighting with one hand tied behind it's back as the politicians won't let the military prosecute wars with a purely military objective. If you're talking air superiority as far as the US airforce is concerned (and navy + marines to a lesser extent) is not so much the machine as the system and tactics. By this I mean, defence suppression ( like wild weasels), fighter aircraft , electronic countermeasures and awacs etc. The F15 is still an awesome aircraft as shown by the Israelis alone so I don't the US is looking too bad.

  5. For what Thailand needs they should have just bought more F16's, still the best all round aircraft in the world and it does most things including ground attack and in fact beat purpose built ground attack planes in bombing competitions when it 1st went into service. Maybe buy a few F18 super hornets to make up a few squadrons.

Yes you have had the opportunity to use bankruptcy, just because you don't know how to use the carefully crafted system that congress has devised does not mean can't use it. Bankruptcy laws are a joke and I hope it will be addressed by the Trump administration. He has said that he only used the laws of the land for his business dealings and that he does not necessarily agree with them but you can't compete if you don't use all the tools available.

Yes and a lot of ordinary traders and craftsmen suffered for it and he's not repentant.

  7. The pilot who crashed his plane at Shoreham, killing 11 people, is being investigated by detectives over possible manslaughter by gross negligence.

Andrew Hill, 52, from Hertfordshire, was flying a vintage Hawker Hunter fighter-bomber when it crashed onto the A27 in West Sussex on August 22 last year.

The pilot in the Shoreham Air Show crash that killed 11 people was involved in another aviation incident a year before the disaster, it has been claimed.

Andy Hill, 51, was deemed to be flying too low and too close to the crowd at Southport, Merseyside, in 2014, the air show flight director told ITV News.

David Walton, who was responsible for the safety of the show, told the programme the display was terminated and a stop call was immediately issued. Mr Hill was "debriefed" and was said to have agreed to change his display for the following day.

Mr Walton told ITV News: "During the display by a Jet Provost T5 at the Southport Airshow on 20 September 2014, the aircraft was observed to be inside the lateral separation minima for the event and also below the minimum height stipulated in the Article 162 Permission issued by the CAA.

"A 'stop' call was immediately issued by the Flying Display Director (FDD) on the display radio frequency and the flying display was terminated.

"The Flying Control Committee (FCC) had also witnessed the event and agreed with the course of action.

"The pilot was debriefed, initially on the telephone and later in person, and agreed to amend his display for the Sunday display."

If you read up on the Jet Provost T5 incident people in the crowd thought he was going to crash and in both incidents he deviated from the planned show.

You clearly are unaware of the circumstances of either incident- the only stupidity is your comment. RIP to the Grippen pilot (the Shoreham pilot survived).

Sorry but I am, both pilots tried doing their 'stunts' without enough altitude and the Shoreham pilot murdered 11 people.

  9. I did my 90 day notification over the internet and received the email confirmation on the 13th December but didn't download the notification approved at the time but when I later went to download it the 90 day notification part of the immigration website has been down since then. I didn't try the website everyday as xmas and a few other things distracted me but I have tried every day for a week or so and it seems it's permanently down now. It used to go down for a few days in the past and I'd even posted my application on a Saturday without a problem but has something changed?. I need to go to Rayong immigration to get advice on renewing my marriage extension and possibly to get a re-entry  permit, will I get fined for overstay as I've found they can be quite obtuse and look for any problem?. I tried the immigration service online contact page but I can't see the captcha image to enter the security key .......

    Cheers in advance.
