  1. Google Meow - Diana/Oasis. A friend just stayed in one of their Super Premiums for around 1'750.--/night all incl. Beautiful & brand-new in perfect location to party and still be away from the noise & pollution in their large gardens/pools. Or maybe one of the Premium rooms @ Areca Lodge? Have a nice vacation. 2. Certainly right Jingthing. Friend, who supplies mostly foreign run restaurants & pubs etc. in BKK area tells me more than 40% of his clients have shut down last 18 months and he expects worse to come. Just check out the hundreds & hundreds of shop-houses along main roads closed down in Pattaya. Seems that many of the businesses in prime area like Bouakao keep rotating owners. Plenty of suckers around... Guess, only few really make a living, but might be wrong. Glad I never got sucked into starting something here, must be very! difficult. MS>

  3. Pattaya is a city on the decline. All the owners want to sell out because they know their time is up. Westerners are out and the Chinese are in and the Chinese don't do bars. It's the same in Bangkok- Nana; Cowboy and Patpong all going the way of the Dodo Bird- extinct!

+ 1. Just check some commercial & business listings. Amazing....Then drive up the Thappraya and along Thepprasit and other main roads and count the businesses closed down, for sale & rent-signs and the shops houses slowly falling apart.....Quite a view. MS>

  4. Dear experts

Can anybody explain the regulations regarding the following matter, please.

Large existing, old condo project in large city. The condo has a large transformer within it's property - I believe 2000 KW?-, that is paid for and maintained by the condo-owners? Is this correct?

Do all condos, hotels have to provide their own transformers and maintain them? Or replace if they blow up? Or is it the power-provider?

Thank you for some feedback. wai2.gif MS>

  5. Hi experts

I understand LAN cable connection gets better & more stable speeds then WIFI, which is influenced by many factors.

Until recently I had Fiber 30/5 and consistently got 35/6 via LAN and a max. 5% less (33/5) via WIFI on the same fast computer.

I now have 100/10 and get 120/15 easily on LAN, but only 35/5 via WIFI. The technician told me this is normal and everybody

    has the same problem...???

Seems a bit fishy, maybe the router's WIFI not suitable for those speeds?

Any ideas or explanation or personal experience in same case much appreciated. MS>

  6. Have had two tinting jobs done by solarkool.biz, one in central Bangkok and one out in the boonies near Chiang Mai. Excellent ( fastidious, even) work, fast, honest, professional and clean. Call Steve- he'll get the job done.

Thank you all for the help. Great recommendation. Contacted Steve. Got immediate answer. Fast, friendly & very helpful, even for smaller job. Nice to deal with pros once in a while. Thank you all and to Steve. MS>

  7. Hi all: Looking for a contractor that can fix about 15 meters of regular steel pipe as a bike guard-rail for motorbike parking. Needs a bit of welding, drilling and cementing into slab.

Simple job, unfortunately my regular contractor is mai-sabai....sad.png Thank you kindly. MS>

  8. Certainly used in settings where disinfection is needed and needs to be done on the cheap and fast (water-tanks etc. etc.) Much better stuff is used in clinics, hospitals etc. We actually used it during cholera outbreaks in Brazil to do emergency disinfection of water in poor neighborhoods.... Per L water 2 or 3 drops of water. Mix well and let it rest for min. 30 min.

In a rest. they could resort to the Peroxide 5% solution / slightly perfumed, sold right next to Haiter/Bleach or just use a clean rag with some kind of accepted cleaner. Even a glass-spray containing alcohol would do just fine. Using bleach / chlorine is way over the top and certainly not good for lungs, taste-buds & nose or your cloth if you get drops or traces on it. Would just tell the manager to be a bit less radical or at least reduce the solution to 1 L water and just a few drops bleach. MS>

  9. Water gun/bucket warriors, second only to keyboard warriors in their quest for social cowardice. Scumbag tourists, teen thai's and greasy girl or tranny bar rats seem to corner the market on poor water judgment (water on obvious non-playing persons-elderly, babies, working attired).

That video of Air Con was rather tame.

    Great writing.....55555....MS>
