Usually I download the video and then convert using Format Factory or Freemake Video Converter.

I've been using this software for quite a while and it works like a dream - provides excellent quality MP3's from You Tube videos, without the need to download the video first. When you use it for the first time, make sure you get the output settings right.

This company also provides free software for downloading You Tube vids as videos in a variety of video formats. Also works very well.

When you download and close out the software, make sure you decline the offer of a tool bar etc as it comes up every time as a default option.

A small inconvenience for some really good free software.

The quality is so much better than keepvid, jdownloader or the general converters

I tested with an HQ jazz video, I downloaded in the high quality (720) and convert to mp3 with 320 bitrate,

Still I prefer not convert at all and get the original audio with ffmpeg.

The 320 bitrate mp3 is almost the same than the original only a little bit wet (using DJ headphones) with normal speaker/headphones not difference at all

But it's so more easy that doing command line with ffmpeg.

BTW I found this for Ubuntu

FFmpeg is used by many free (and proprietary) projects, including VLC, MPlayer, HandBrake, Plex, Blender, Google Chrome, YouTube, Facebook, ffmpeg2theora, and many other softwares specialy the converters

The best result is getting the original file and take the audio channel in raw format, I mean without any conversion.

the problem about ripping the audio or video from your PC output is that the representation have many filters or enhancement related to the codecs or programs that you have installed.

you can not get a high quality mp3 with the normal software for download, keepvid, jdownloader, utube catcher get a very poor mp3 audio.

The best is a bit complicated you need to download the highest quality of the video, and later use ffmpeg / avconv http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avconv to extract the original audio form the video (mp3 or ac3 from youtube)

Probably it's cheaper for Microsoft to pay a fine than gift custumers to Mozilla or Google.

The issue is about a proxy server in the middle

To by pass the cache of the proxy server you can try adding some variables to the url

for example if mywebsite.com/home is in the cache your connection will be all the time looking in the proxy server

but if you add some vars to the url mywebsite.com/home?qwerty=123456 the proxy server need to get the information from internet or connecting you directly to the server that you look, in both cases you get the real content. But all the time you need to change the number since mywebsite.com/home?qwerty=123456 surely will be cached too

so changing all the time the last numbers do the magic.

Another way is using proxies, VPNs or SSH tunnels as you already know.

The real solution is upgrade the application in the server for use anti proxy/cache technology it's really easy, and depending of the architecture of the web application could be implemented in few time.

You can't ask for change the network architecture of the ISPs in Thailand.

The cache/proxy in the middle are more usual that the average user thinks

You are connected to the router in DHCP mode

thats mean your IP 192.168.1.2 is connected to the gateway 192.168.1.1 (local area)

you need to connect directly to internet I mean something very unsafe if you don't know what you doing.

if you have a modem connect directly to your PC and setup the PPPoE connection the user pass of your ADSL connection

if you have adsl router you need to go into your router and change to "Bridge Mode"

so when you do the netstat -r the first line shoud show the IP that your ISP give you (usually the public IP) and in green the Gateway so you must use the 3 first numbers of the Gateway.

I'm not completely sure. But the logs seemed to indicate a heat problem on the backplane around the time of the failure. at this time the whole thing seems to work again. What Raid controller you use? in the case of 3ware you can use the 3DM monitor that is pretty good, many years ago we had a similar problem with a RAID 0 in a testing server, nobody notice that one of the RAID disk was completely dead, when the server crash we had big complains with the datacenter since the server had only few months and one disk was completely died and the another have random sector error.

Later we included in the sys admin tasks check periodical the status or the RAID, the 3DM monitor have many reporting and maintenance options.

I don't know about 3BB or the network architecture of the ISP but you can do a PING inside the range of your network layer or try to find the ARP package connecting directly to the modem or router in bridge mode, pretty difficult for an average user.

in CMD you can try something like this

replacing the ping 192.168.1. for the ip of your gateway or your segment.

for know that you need to look into your routing table if you are connected directly

You probably click in some of the google ads with the download button, looks pretty easy to do a mistake if you don't know what you are downloading

WUD the software that I recommend for Chicog and the "deleted link" to the MSFN forum (support for the WUD and NLite project) was a reference for him since he manually look in google the latest security updates and patches for windows, what the programs do is exacly the same, so in the case of Chicog not need to look in google, only need to check what he needs to download from microsoft using the WUD software as a downloader, it's not an automated installer or an alternative to windows update.

What the program it's used is for download all the updates for an specific Windows version as an add on of NLite to create "Unnatended" versions of windows fully updated.

I've read numerous complaints about the Vertex 3, even after firmware updates, but the 4 gets good reviews across the board and, as you said, it doesn't use the SandForce controller which seems to be the source of most problems.

I didn't know that the MLC (multi level cell) operate with more states not only 0 and 1, in the HDD only have two poles but in these new cell of memory, the MLC is able to record 0 1 2 3 4 etc per cell and that is one of the big difference, since with MLC can duplicate or more the normal capacity, but the maintenance, and the power used is more.

Really not much advantage over a throw-away yahoo/hotmail/gmail.com email address. More than one gmail address opens a pandoras box of tricks you can do with their filters

but you win a lot of time, I have a lot of domains and in some of them I foward all the emails to my gmail account for example [email protected] [email protected], [email protected] and etc so I know exactly who sell my email/data but still since are companies or legal sites but I get so much emails in this way and since is a simple configuration to foward all the emails if I want to delete one I must setup all the trusted forward or create a filter for each one.
