  1. Thank you Yingluck and PTP for all the effort you have put into flood prevention.

So now the Government is to blame for the heaviest rainfall in a decade?

Thailand gets Monsoon rain, it's supposed to flood when this happens. Try and get used to it and stop expecting someone to build a magical hole that drains all the water away.

If the PTT government hadn't made att the promises that it did during the flood of 2011 I'd be inclined to agree

If the PTT government hadn't borrowed 350 Billion baht as an emergemcy loan in 2011 and done nothing with it i'd also be inclined to agree

    But they did - so I don't!!!

  2. This regime has promised more hubs than Raleigh bicycles and failed to deliver any.

Thailand used to be the world's hub for rice and that's screwed up beyond belief and beyond salvation.

Seafood hub? Hub of diseased prawns more like!

  3. Almost 50 per cent of Thai people believe that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is a politician who could be an ethical role model, according to a recent survey by the Abac Poll.

That really means that 50% of the Thai's surveyed still have their heads up their own you know what . . .

I'd wager that Hitler is more popular

"The group, which calls itself "Families of April-May 2010 Martyrs", was led by Ms. Payao Akhard, the mother of Ms. Kamonkate Akhard ("Nurse Kate"), the volunteer medic shot dead inside a temple on 19 May 2010 and Mr. Pansak Srithep, father of Mr. Samapan Srithep ("Litter Brother Cher"), the schoolboy killed on a pavement in central Bangkok on 16 May 2010."

    Try reading it.

"Nurse shot dead in temple by army while helping casualties..............."  would be a fair description of what happened.

Quite reasonable for her Mother to seek an explanation, do you not think ??

    Dying for Thaksin's billions?

  6. I think the topic is slightly incorrect.

There was no investment in rice (it was bought, warehoused and to all intents a purposes forgotten about).

    The investment was in voters.

So it was in fact an investment in people - but a worthless investment with negative return for all but a few well-connected souls.

  7. Putting aside the rights and wrongs of the sentiment, it is a bit of a strange part of a quote ""parliamentary dictators who were attempting to bring the Army under their control". Surely the army should be under the control of any Government, which the army go to pains profess at times.

I dont often agree but yes the army should be under control of a government.

As for a coup, maybe a good idea seeing this government and its rice scam and having a fugitive (now with proof) leading the country from a distance is a discrage. But then again starting with coups is a bad thing and there is no real alternative for this government as long as the majority of Thai politicians are all corrupt its just changing those that feed of the government money. Only I still think the democrats steal less then the Reds, they really have up-scaled the theft.

    Under the control for sure.

Under the ownership - no way

  8. "The premier will hold a press conference, in which she might be asked about the audio clip featuring two voices that sound like Deputy Defence Minister Yuthasak Sasiprapha and Thaksin discussing the country's political scene and the promotion of top brass who are pro-Thaksin."

........ and the PM might either refuse to answer or just walk away......
