They are openly calling for a military coup to overthrow the democratically elected government.
When/where did peacefully criticising the government become "obstructing democracy"? Is violence against the white masks "supporting democracy"?The only reason they choose to wear masks is so hopefully people don't realise they are the same yellow faces that have been obstructing democracy for 8 years now.
Is this the red shirt version of "democracy"?
They are perfectly entitled to do so in a democratic society.
Perhaps you can prove that they have?

These projects, like the rice scam, are so far from being transparent that they are government secrets.
The information should be 100% visible to the Thai public

“If the baht was not jacked up to Bt28 against the dollar, we would not have to encounter the weakened baht like today. The currency movement should be gradual instead of being strong for three months and weak for four months,” said the deputy prime minister.
Doesn't the BoT realise how much the drop costs us when we have to sluice 2 trillion Baht out of Thailand .
In reply to a couple of your posts:
I believe that Kitttirat is one of Yingluck's boys and that Thaksin has no time for him - but I could be wrong
The 2 Trillion will be 5 once interest is added in

... THB2 million per square wah (an area roughly equal to four square miles)
should probably read
equal to four square METERS.
Otherwise I'm definitely a multi-millionaire with my few talang wahs here at Ekkamai...
Yes - an incredible mistake.
I'll take the lot a t double that rate

I think Poo's nickname should be changed forthwith to Nokajok Tairt due to her propensity for burying her head in the sand and hoping anything she doesn't like will go away

How bloody odd it is that the PTP claim to know more about the Democrat Government fugures than their own current figures!

Thailand's biggest customer is the US.
Upsetting your biggest customer by blocking their trade isn't smart.
Still, this is the Shinawatra school of economics

Politics aside can anyone find fault with much of what Abhisit is saying because I can't.
Especially sensible seems to be the Dems policy of paying direct to the farmer.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
None of you seem to know what you are talking about. What is Abhist's policy. I've not heard of it. How can he have a policy when he is not in office. If Abhisit's government was so inovative and sucessful why were there so many problems when he was PM. Why were foreign governments so reluctent to recieve him. Why did the Japanese refuse his request for a loan when he was desparate when he'd run out of cash to complete a committment?
The PTP have many active projects. They are all potentially in the interests of Thailand and its people. Admittedly PTP may fall short on objectives and may be hopelessly underestimating true cost. However untill the costs are known the best oposition is to ask carefully prepared questions in the house when parliament is in session.
That the Democrats seem fishing for another coups before judicial process on the previous coups is complete is insane. Why? Because Thailand's coups benefit only the coups masters, never the Thai people.
So, according to you, the only party that can have policies is the one in power? Hahahahahahahah!!!!

It's not small change by any means but the numbers are in THB and not USD so don't get carried away. And as a percentage of GDP the actual losses are small, just before somebody (you know who) chirps in that the rice scheme will bankrupt the country..
Somewhere in the vicinity of 10+ billion USD in losses. Don't get carried away?
Not to trivialise the loss but In the context of GDP it's a small number, and, the losses being talked about represent the losses from ALL agricultural schemes under various Thaksin governments, not just the losses from the rice scheme that's in the headlines currently.
400B Baht represents wasting around 20% of tax revenue. Government expenditure is already in excess of revenue.
