  1. With PTP in power and especially if Thaksin gets back you can expect more of this type of policy, times ten!

Oh yeah...remember the good ol' days of the Abisith- government?

Not one web- page blocked, no censorship whatsoever, by no means the highest- number of web- sides blocked?

The days when freedom of expression had one field-day after another!

Things were so much better than! coffee1.gif

    What an apologist you are.

Intercepting social media messages in the manner suggested abbove is a million times more evil than blocking websites,

    Yeah...that's me!

I have a loooong history of painting eveything gold, the PT does!

    And you?

I guess, you could be called a selectivist: Thailand's history began with Thaksin, is Thaksin and will end with Thaksin.

Everything in between didn't happen, wasn't that bad or should simply be forgotten.

    More waffles than Belgium.

  2. Another step closer to the ideals and control that Thaksin holds so dear . . . those displayed by North Korea.

please do your homework......... the computer crime act, enacted in 2007 by the Surayud Chulanont government following the 2006 coup....the computer crime act was signed into law by the military instaled Chulanont government AFTER the coup!

Can't you Thaksin haters not stay at least a little bit objective!...those who like the "ideals and controls" as you say "North Korean style " in this country are always the same people - regardless of who they allow to be in government.

It is not so long ago that you - as a private person - could not own a satellite TV dish for "national security reasons" in Thailand - during and after the Suchinda coup we had to rely on copied video tapes from universities who had access to foreign satellite TV stations and the Thais where shoked what they saw at the Royal Hotel and nearby - they had only been fed military propaganda at home. Before that time they received only brainwashing as the regular Somchai had no access to any outside information !

Not so much later a friend of mine lost his job because he wrote a column that "finally the internet had arrived in Thailand" in a well known English newspaper and had to apologize to the dean of a university for writing the article as the internet was only for the privileged few in Thailand and "regular"people where to be kept in the dark about it for as long as possible.

When they finally could not hold back anymore and allow internet access to everyone (for obvious reasons - making money!) they started to censor it!

You have to dig a little bit deeper if you want to find out who wants to control what information is good for you and what not - and who wants to prosecute you for saying things they don't like to hear!

The enactment of the computer crime act had one objective only - repression and curtailment of freedom of speach - any other reasons given are pure propaganda or blatant lies!

Nobody would object to use a computer crime act to catch real criminals who commit online fraud - the computer crime act in Thailand is missused to silence people and force them into self censorship - as much as the criminal libel laws do in this country.

Governments change - the people who want to control what what you can say and what access you have to information stay the same!

There have been a few governments since then.

Only one of which as interpreted the law is this draconian way

  3.

    Truth will out...................

Some on here will not accept it, but there it is, medics shot in cold blood by the authorities.

Let's see how the Courts take this further, but it cannot be a surprise to anyone, why there is such deep division in the country.

Hopefully TV only has one poster is daft enough to believe that. These thugs were as innocent as the ones who created a fiasco at the hospital.

    The unarmed nurse ???

    Daft eh ???

And what are her mother's wishes?

  4. "Worachai's amnesty bill is an insult to the victims and families of the 2010 violence," Adams said. "It is unacceptable that those who committed serious abuses, including soldiers who pulled the triggers and commanders who gave the orders, would remain untouchable through an amnesty." He also urged that the investigation into the "black shirt" militants continue.

I think anyone in a red shirt or exiled in camel land will conveniently ignore this paragraph......

  5. I am afraid I am going to have to disagree with the National " Intelligence" Agency.

The reality is that there is every reason for a coup. Think of the Thai economy as a pig that is bled on a regular basis by the 1700 Thai generals. Life is good in their mansions, and the mia nois are a lot of fun. Now the Shinawatra clan steps in and starts taking serious amounts of blood from the pig, to the point of jeopardizing it's life.

Cannot have that, therefore having a coup will restore balance by having another set of people leading the government who understand they must moderate their taking of blood. Easy to understand, as this is the fundamental basis for the other 18 coups.....

I'd always thought the plural should be mias noi ?

  6. The Royal Thai Army protects the Thai people any malitia porpurting to be "The Peoples Army" is in fact committing Lese Majeste and a contradiction to the Thai Constitution.

If a militia with the banner of "The Peoples Ary" inflicts harm on any of the people they should be considered to be Traitors and should be considered to be trying to pervert the Constitution of Thailand.

Surely your very name is treasonous?

  7. Pffffff ... You guys are still not tired?

Some of you are really obsessed. It's not your country, relax !

A bit of reconciliation would not hurt anyone.

Uhm, of course you might have nothing to moan about anymore... Your life would be even emptier Posted Image

A bit of reconciliation would be fantastic. Unfortunately there's no sign of it with the current government.

They are the only ones speaking about it though...

Pity that the other side loves troubles and coups so much...

    What a loss of time.

  8. And here again, people accept threats if they are coming from the "right" people and not if they are coming from the wrong people! And everybody accepts it! I've been in Thailand long enough to know how it works! Wich is why someone needs to teach them how things works and to those expacts who support murderers, it is not because you hate murderers that you will love thiefs, but I guess you have been in Thailand for so long that for you know it is "if you are not with me, you are against me!" so a lesson to you smart anti-democrats: There is another way!

I've read this twice and it makes no sense to me.

    Can you try again?

    +1

Let me do it again in a simple way:

if yellow shirt make threat, you think ok.

if red shirt make threat, you think not ok.

Me no like Abhisit or Taksin! You think if no like Abhisit, then like Taksin!

    That's much better - found a level.

    Me no like yellow

    Me no like red

    Me no like Thaksin
