Roi Et: Two Brothers Die in Electric Shock Incident
mran66 replied to Georgealbert's topic in Isaan News
... So where did he get the electrical connection? From the fish? From. The water on the marshland? -
If you want to minimise your cost, order oil and filter from lazada, and go to any of the many small car fix shops have it changed. I've paid 300 baht for the change job in Pattaya. I even have tools for the job but not worth the 300 in the heat

Never mind. Let's just conclude that it makes perfect sense to officially announce winter season starting based on whatever calendar, without looking out the window nor at the weather forecasts that say water is expected to come pouring down and temperatures remain high - and take back couple of days later after noticing no winter in sight. In the meantime ngos and social authorities happy having been woken up from their summer sleep, running to distribute winter gear while sweating in sun and wet from rain.

I understand public announcements and warnings of cold weather periods. But that has little if anything to do with 'official winter season', especially a canceled one.

Read a news story few days ago them making an official statement of winter starting. Thought it was weird. Now seeing official announcement of start of winter having been canceled feels even more weird. Why to have official winter start announced in the first place, even if you knew when winter starts, but especially if you don't? They try to make even weather political, trying to make reality by imaginary statements? TIT I Guess.

Facial Recognition to Replace Boarding Passes at Six Thai Airports

I'm sure the main reason for this idea is big kickbacks from the system vendor. -

Thailand to Implement 300-Baht Tourism Tax Starting with Air Travel
mran66 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Isn't that the whole rationale? The talks about using it for this or that is just smoke and mirrors to cover the real rationale. Try to sneak it in as small 300 baht one... Then if it actually gets done, easy to jack up the price as hunger grows -
Woman Dies After Car Crashes into Electric Pole in Buriram
mran66 replied to Georgealbert's topic in Isaan News
Police will soon find out from dashcam video that the culprit was the electric pole, making a quick move in front of the car. Also, police found a fake amulet among the debris inside the car, concluding that it likely made the impact more severe. Ghost of the victim confirmed the same. -
My friend had it like this with 3bb in his condo on pratamnak Soi 5. Some contractors came to install the cable and the few was paid to them. I actually oversaw the installation as he was out of town at the time. Fiber cable installation is very simple job and likelyhood of having issues due to the cable installation is low. Even if happens, just need to fix the cable. He has not had any issues.

The ikea kitchen I made for myself is actually an outdoor kitchen. I had extra space outside so had the roof extended for proper coverage, and made full western style kitchen outside under the roof, with about 5.5m of countertop space. After that I have not cooked anything inside even if I do have extractor blowing the fumes out, you will always have the smell if you cook inside. The original inside kitchen basically became a 'drink kitchen' for lounge after the outside done (and sometimes eating place if bring food from outside). I have outside 'living room' adjacent to the outside kitchen under same roof as well, and consequently have kind of outdoor lifestyle at home. Personally I am very satisfied with my decision to do it even if was not sure if worth when planning it. For some reason the ladies seem to be liking it as well.

Around the same time I did my ikea kitchen, my neighbor had a kitchen done by a thepparasit shop, I recall planet kitchen but not sure. Quality of components they used was about same as ikea, but it was expensive. Anyway he was satisfied. Boonthavorn I recall has good quality non cheap kitchens available as well. But much more expensive than from ikea at least few years ago. HomePro stuff is 2nd tier compared to those. Cheap sure.

I recall reading news about similar behavior earlier, though only in Thailand. I think would be worth an academic research to try to find out more about this, esp whether having high voltage is essential for the benefits of the climb. Maybe this activity could be developed into worldwide cure for stress, angst and possibly other mental issues.

Unholy muddle: Monks caught in naughty habits in defrock shock
mran66 replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
These stories about real behavior of life in temples always makes me laugh. But when talking about these with thai people they feel seemingly awkward and even annoyed about it, defending the good monks. -
The design tool goes long way in helping you to know what you want or don't want as it visualizes your design in 3D. I made full design with it and ordered all main pieces together and no major mistakes. But yes it is a lot of stuff so esp if you have space constraints might be good idea to order as you go. But remember that they might suddenly discontinue a door color so would advise order all fronts at one go, even if as last order once frames installed. I had a warranty issue and could not get a replacement door after some time as they had discontinued... Though they offered to give me all doors due to that. I declined though as my issue was minor, did not like what they had at the time and felt a bit lazy to replace all. BTW the warranty service is good.

Good point. I used to try to unblock grey water drain, though had to get the snake guys to do it at the end as chemicals did not help.

I did exactly as you did for my own kitchens, as did not trust any thai to install mine. I recall granite top from Pattaya stone shop was about same price as the melamine from ikea. Also made design for a friend and ikea installed for her. She was very happy with the installation service provided. This was about a year ago.

The design tool is an online tool, no need to install on your computer. I designed few kitchens with it some years ago. https://www.ikea.com/th/en/planners/kitchen-planner/ https://www.ikea.com/th/en/customer-service/services/planning-consultation/online-planning-service-pub15b6c560 Seems they may even come see you nowadays. Did not know that.
