we bought an electrolux 2 door fridge/freezer for the new house, was over 40,000 baht and it keeps freezing things in the fridge side plus we get a big build up of ice in the freezer side, it is still under warranty & we have emailed electrolux Thailand many times about it and they refuse to answer us which is very typical of companies in Thailand. For mine thai electrolux is totally garbage, want your money but refuse to honour their warranties, this was a very good brand in Australia which is why we bought it but I will be telling everyone I know to avoid them like the plague in Thailand as they are pathetic at best and will never accept fault with their products

rarely seen a building yet that doesnt leak water through the roof, what can you expect from people that are not tradesmen and have no technical knowledge about what they are doing. When they use farm hands along with their wives/girlfriends & kids to do their building work the reason for the shoddy building works is very obvious, no tradesmen to train up apprentices, no electricians, plumbers, painters etc with any technical knowledge, simply doing it the easiest and cheapest way possible, the one person does everything.

University is a choice, you want it you pay for it, all basic education should be free but not uni, what they need to do is make basic education good quality though by teachers that are fully qualified not the pathetic ones that are currently utilized by most schools, our daughter had to go to after school classes for several years to get top marks for her uni choice because the so called best school in our district had teachers that were that bad and had no idea what they were teaching. To make it better they need to make educating teachers to a passable standard o they actually know what they are teaching to improve education and stop the face saving "everyone passes" no matter the grades or the attendance records BS

again we see the loss of face for screwing up someones order being turned into a pathetic spectacle, the owner should be the one appologizing for getting it wrong, hope they lose all their business and have to close for this BS action, time for some of these idiots to learn to accept fault for what they do

our bang kaew is a brilliant dog, she does have a savage streak and no one but my wife & I can get near her but she is a very affectionate dog, she loves being near us and cuddling into us. They are very owner specific dogs and do not take to other people, they do not like to be threatened in any way and protect whatever they pick up, outside of our fenceline when she is on a leash she is very quiet, she protects her domain though when she is back inside the fence. Over all she would be one of the best dogs I have owned over many years, great to see the breed recognized

I think it is great, maybe now the owners will actually take care of their land and keep all the weeds etc down, we have a vacant block next to us and we have to constantly cut and poison the land on their side of our fence lines(we own the land on either side of it) as it keeps growing into our land and is over 2 metres high. The owners rarely come here and take off if we go to talk to them, the we have a neighbout next to our other block that built their land up almost a metre higher than all the other land near it without putting in either a fence or drain around it plus pushed their fill over onto our land and trees and never came back. We had to pay someone to come and use a backho to drag all the dirt away from our land and back onto theirs, the house on the other side was flooding everytime it rained as well, the land owner just never shows up s o anyone can get them to fix the problem they caused. If the govt starts taking the land off these idiots all the better, most buy the land as an investment to get a big profit but refuse to take care of the land while waiting for the value to go up, in Australia they have to keep the land/block tidy by law or the councils clean it up and send them an account then seize it if they dont pay

my wife came from a very poor family so she had to work to support her university studies, why cant other thais do the same, problem is too many are either lazy or think they are above having to work to support themselves in anything but the postion they want to be in

while I was waiting for central to open I was standing on the entry steps watching people park, one lady tried arounf 10 times to reverse into a car space with no cars either side and couldnt do it, she was unable to go back in straight and be between the lines. Eventually a male driver offered to park it for her, could not believe how pathetic her driving skills were but was typical of many thai drivers, you can see how bad they are at parking in any car parking area.

Our daughter has been self quarantining after being in close proximity to a covid infected person at the local hospital where she works as a trainee doctor, she stays onsite in their staff dormitories. Last night she called us to let us know she does have covid and the hospital has told her she cannot leave her room for at least 10 days, they will supply her with medication but they will not feed her and she has to arrange all the food herself and they will not help out at all, you would think when the hospital quarantines its staff in the hospital dormitories they would also ensure they make sure they are supplied food. The way the hospital has talked to her means either we will have to drive 20 klm each way to feed her every day as they have no cooking facilities in the room or she will have to order home delivery for all her meals, very poor form seeing she caught covid working in the hospital yet they take no responsibility apart from medication

we have a couple of shops where we go to get some decent wine at reasonable prices but you do have to search around, many of the bottles we buy have been sitting in the shelves for a few years so the shop has reduced the price to sell them. Have found some good french, aussie and south american bottles amongst them

daughters friend went to Bangkok with her parents on the long wekend and came back to the hospital with it so now our daughter is also in lockdown as is a few other trainee doctors and nurses, still too many not wearing masks or taking precautions but they all know best and refuse to put themselves out.

unfortunately many thias have no regard or pride in their country, they do whatever is easiest for them, I have seen them ride their bikes and side cars to the jetty where my wife works and throw all their bagged household rubbish into the water on the shallow side then start to fish on the other side. You always see rubish being tossed from cars & bikes as well as piles of rubbish on any back streets where dumpers cant be seen easily. Its hard to walk anywhere in Thailand without seeing rubbish but no one sems to care, the stench from canals is also another by product from all the dumping as are all the filthy beaches after high tide. Personally I think a lot of it is just laziness, too hard for some to walk to a bin when the ground/water is closer, would be great if thais took more pride in the state of their country

did a lot of spearfishing in my younger days, never once considered spearing undersize fish or parrot fish because they are garbage fish even though they are plentiful, why spear them when there are so many other better eating fish. Can believe they may be a threatened species in Thailand as thais tend to take everything they can and many dont follow any regulations so taking a protected species wouldnt matter to many but for someone that calls themselves a professional spear fisherman he should be totally ashamed for spearing those fish, too small and not good eating, looks more like he is trying to big note himself and losing misserably. As for doing it in a national park, while he should have checked first the boat captain knows all the parks and regulations and should have made sure everything was done legally but money was obviously more important, hopefully both cop what they deserve.

dont know about now but several years ago I brought a fresh cryovacced aged rib eye from Australia to Thailand in my suitcase packed in a soft sided cool bag with frozen sleeves around it to keep it cool, went through without a problem

many of the "retirees" in Thailand tend to think with their little head, its all about their ego's, their wife/girlfriend is only with them for their money and everyone that sees them together knows it. This is part of what Thailand really is for many, somewhere they can live in their own little fantasy world where playing hide the sausage is the biggest & most important part of their lives but if thats what they want then they have found it here and are happy, personally I find having someone of a similar age that is with you for love much more satisfying

still remember when we stopped the car so I could get out of the passenger side door and as I started to open the door I looked into the mirror and saw a motorbike flying along in the small space between the cars and the gutter so stopped, he would have taken the door off and probably caused major injury to himself and me if hadnt seen him. Unfortunately thai riders dont follow the road rules and do as they please, the police refuse to stop them as well, they are riding outide the marked/lawful lanes on the road so they are at fault but they refuse to accept that here

drunk as a maggot is the main way these idiots drive to hit and kill people yet the police do not go after them and wait for them to turn themselves in, shows how pathetic the thai police really are and how they refuse to actually do their jobs

at least it is still in one piece apart from the handle, we have has 3 suit cases totally smashed up now over 3 different flights by one airline that only started up a few years ago, they offered us 100 baht then went up to 500 baht when I got a bit angry at their carelessness/handling of them. They kept saying if you pay extra for luggage insurance it dosnt happen, this has proved to be true so the damage would be their way of getting the extra money by the look of it. The only reason we use them is their early flights are the only ones that get us to Bangkok at the required time in the morning and their late night flights back save us having to stay over night. Unfortunately customer service just doesnt happen with them

there is no way any serious spear fisherman would even spear the small parrot fish he had or the eel, I did spearfishing for many years, I would not embarrass myself with those fish. What also has to be realized is that the boat captain is the one responsible for taking him into a natioanl park and not informing him of the laws, probably was more interested in getting some extra money. The captain is the one that needs to be charged as he is responsible for what happens on his boat and should be well aware of what is and is not allowed but then again being thai the police would not be as interested in him as they would a farang. As for being a professional spear fisherman, what a total load of BS, just another yahoo making himself out to be something he isnt

we bought a new set of curtains from a lage retail store(they are all over Thailand), got them home and when we opened up the plastic cover out popped a bag of pills. Wasnt sure but had suspisions so did a google search on the shape imprinted on the pills, turns out they were meth so crushed the bag/pills and flushed all the contents. Have to wonder if they were using the business as a means to transport them all over the country or one of the staff was using the curtain cover to hide their own supply but there were quite a lot in the bag, probably 50 or so
