Anutin plays to the masses; he did it during Covid as Health Minister; so you have to concede he is politically savvy. I have seen him interviewed on the Singaporean CNA Channel in English and he came accross as a reasonable and competent individual. Whether he can revive the country's ailing economy remains to be seen. I think the Peoples Party's rise has been stalled but not ended by this result. They just have to play the long game, but their time will surely come.

Best tie I have seen so far was in a qualifying round and was an Essex derby, Chelmsford v Braintree. Non-league footy gets some big crowds in post Covid. A General Election campaign leaves a political vacuum. The army is calling the shots, feels empowered and relevant. It is difficult to see an imminent end to the conflict. Hundreds of thousands of ordinary people on both sides of the border have had lives turned upside down. For what? A petty squabble over land with little or no strategic or economic value.
