  1. Korat immigration asks on each Visa Extension for a new TM30 and a new Rental Contract. Has been already many years like this.
  2. Looking for renting another house/apartment and all the hassles involved (Deposit, new contract, etc.) is not a viable option. Booking a hotel/condo for a few weeks is an (easy and cheap) option. Lots of condos to rent starting at 2,500 Baht/month. But will Immigration accept staying at a hotel/condo for the TM30?
  3. I am in the process of leaving Thailand, probably forever. I have currently a Retirement Visa, NON-O, which expires on 2 April. I fear that there will be not enough time to have everything ready before that date. I would need a few weeks more. I could ask for a Visa Extension, but I would like to avoid to go trough the whole process of getting my Visa extension. I have the money in the bank and all the necessary documents for an extension. But getting a TM30 is a PITA as my landlord lives in Hong-Kong and is not very cooperative in making a new TM30 and a new rental contract. It has been every year the same story with my landlord and I wish to avoid this as I would need only a few weeks more. A possible solution would be to hire the services of a Visa agency. But I don't know of any Visa Agency in Korat that can get a TM30/Rental Contract without the usual hassles and how much this will cost. Any possible options?
  4. The TM30 seems to be a recurring thread that is abused by Immigration and the Landlords. It is not possible to fulfill the TM30 requirements when the Landlord is not cooperating or unlawful owner of the property. Thus jeopardising the Visa extension of the foreigner. The TM30 shall be a requirement of the Landlord and the Tenant shall only need to report his stay at property "x". Eventually showing a rental agreement.
  5. In most countries, the foreigner need to report within a given time frame (24/48 hours) that he stays at address "x". If the foreigner rents a house/apartment, he is required to show the rental contract. The tenant is required within a given time frame (24/48 hours) that he allows/rent the foreigner to stay at his property for a given time. In the case the tenant has rented his property to the foreigner, he need to show a rental contract to the police. That's the way a TM30 should work and the Thai interpretation. It is worth to hire a lawyer and defend this in court. Getting rid of a pesky requirement for the foreigners.
  6. FWIW, Thaivisa.com/AseanNow.com has many members. It would be worth to take a "donation" from all members (free will) and hire a Lawyer to investigate the TM30 requirement. The tenant can not meet the requirements if the Landlord does not cooperate or is not complete legal and thus it should not be a burden to the tenant. TM30 shall be a task for the Landlord, just like a Hotel is required to report your stay at their promises. Just my 2 cents.
  7. Why are we required to bleed for something that is not our business? The TM30 is a requirement to fullfil by the owner of the property that is rented by the foreigner and it's the task of the owner to see that he is doing this according to the law Not the task of the renter. If you rent a hotel room, the hotel will copy your passport and follow the immigration procedures. The same apply when the foreigner rent a property.
  8. Losartan was taken off by the Urinolog after an urgent hospitalization due to Galstones.
  9. I will leave Thailand too in a few weeks. Not because of work or anything like that, but because of my deteriorating health and the costs of healthcare becomes more than I can afford. Lucky for me, I am alone and I don't have a wife ot kids that I would leave behind. On your subject, you need to make a decision for yourself mate. Nobody here can give you good advice or make that decision for you. Always leave a door open in case that you decide to return to Thailand. o To finish my rant, I too start to feel that Thailand is not the best place to live. Too many things makes life in Thailand more and more questionable. And with the recent developments of a few dickheads in Phuket, Immigration might review their rules and add more restrictions. Lots of better and easier places to live in the neighbouring countries.
  10. The Military Hospital gives a reference Range of 82 to 115. Taking in account my age and my previous medical history (Kidney Disease, Aneurysm, Heart Attack and a Stroke), my doctor is vey satisfied when my BS remains in the range 110-125.
  11. A HYPO is a very frightening experience and the odds to go into a COMA makes it worse. I carry normal always some Fructose candy with me, but I forgot the Fructose in the car that day.
  12. And my HYPO was due to my test strips?
  13. I got every 3 months a HbA1C BS test at the hospital. Mentionned this also in my original post. Latest test, in Januari, was 6.
  14. I know that eating a pizza or a hamburger is not good for my health, but at 70 years old and living alone I like to have a little fun on Friday or Saturday. Since my heart attacks in 1997, and subsequently my Pacemaker implant, I am strictly forbidden to do any exercise. In 2018, I had a big Aneurysm surgery, and rehabilitation was done very strict watching my Blood Pressure which went after walking a few meters up to 200. I have been visiting the gym every day in my younger years. But the ended in 1997.
  15. I measured this morning my BS and it was 110. Back to normal. I made a small breakfast consisting of Spaghetti Carbonara and Tuna. I drink Appel juice with me breakfast. Feeling well.
  16. Thanks for your suggestion. I will try to change my breakfast. But I still try to find out why I had the last 3 days such a low BS level? I didn't change my habits.
  17. No medication for the BS. Only a strict diet (no sugar).
  18. - Yes, Diabetes type 2. - No Insulin. _ Was on Linaglyptin, but the Kidney doctor ended the prescription of LinaGlyptin and ordered to control my BS levels by diet. Since then (about 2 years) my BS levels are between 110 to 125, which is very good. Occasionally I have higher BS readings (mostly after the weekend) but that it is due to the food at the bar which I visit on Friday/Saturday. Pizza, Hamburger + Chips, etc. - I take my BS levels every day in the morning BEFORE Breakfast/Drink. Today I had a reading of 80. Every 3 months, the hospital do a HbA1c test and the latest test on 31/01/24 was 6 (down from 7). - After the BS test and taking my medication, I had a small breakfast like every day (fruit + yoghurt).
  19. Lucky for me, I did not fall into a Coma. The first time I had a HYPO, I was lucky to be at that time at the hospital and the nurses knew what was going on. I learned that as soon as I start to sweating a lot and feel fainting I grab a "quick sugar" like Coca Cola or Fructose tablets to bring my Sugar levels back to normal. But ine never knows and I might slip into a Coma next time.
  20. The last few days, my Blood Sugar level was too low according to my usual measurements. Normally, my Blood Sugar level in the morning are between 110 and 125. A few times higher or lower, but very few. The last 3 days, I measured 95. 88 and today 80. While eating lunch at Central Plaza like every day, I started to sweat and feel fainted. I had trouble to think and everything around me was like a dream. Knowing these symptoms, I took a small bottle of Coke and drink it up. A few minutes later, everything was back to normal thank to the COCA COLA. That's my 3rd HYPO in 6 years time and I hope the last.
  21. I don't understand why people in a time as this, continue their illegal activities and even come out to the daylight. Phuket is a bursting vulcan now and foreigners are under the scrunity of every public entity So, keep quit for a few weeks is the message.
  22. Hilarious. A few days ago I watched on Instagram a clip of Russian hookers selling sex openly on Walking Street. Last month, while I was in Pattaya, I got lots of messages in Thaifriendly from African and Russian woman for sex (Freelance). Yet, these 2 woman in Phuket are arrested and the are proudly publishing their "undercover" mission. Thailand at his best.
  23. Next one to "return" to Thailand without conviction will be our Red Bull lover boy.
  24. I don't know what times you are talking about, but I get everything done at the local UOB Branch at Nakhon Ratchasima. Already many years. Also, withdraw money from my FCA account to top-up my Savings account (EUR -> THB) at the local branch in Nakhon Rathasima. No need to go to Bangkok every time for that. I didn't try it yet, but it should be possible to do everything via the UOB-TMRW Application (prompt pay) also . Changing everything to Thai baht is not a good option for me because I am in the frame window of a Visa extension now and I plan anyhow to return to Europe soon.
  25. I agree that it is not easy with the different banks in Thailand. A few years ago, te requirements changed from 400K baht to 800K baht and I wanted to top-up my current bank account at Bangkok Bank. Although I had a FCA (USD), they didn't allow me to top-up my existing account. I needed to have a letter from my Embassy the they would guarantee my account, which was not possible. I tried different banks to store the additional 400K baht, but everywhere the rules for opening a bank account were not possible for me (work permit, tax-id number, etc.) Only UOB, where I had already an account was willing to open an FCA account, but the minimum was 25,000 EUR. Now, with the phone banking account and the UOB-TMRW account (prompt pay) rulse seems to have changed and it would not be strange if Immigration will adapt their rules too.
