  1. - Yes, Diabetes type 2. - No Insulin. _ Was on Linaglyptin, but the Kidney doctor ended the prescription of LinaGlyptin and ordered to control my BS levels by diet. Since then (about 2 years) my BS levels are between 110 to 125, which is very good. Occasionally I have higher BS readings (mostly after the weekend) but that it is due to the food at the bar which I visit on Friday/Saturday. Pizza, Hamburger + Chips, etc. - I take my BS levels every day in the morning BEFORE Breakfast/Drink. Today I had a reading of 80. Every 3 months, the hospital do a HbA1c test and the latest test on 31/01/24 was 6 (down from 7). - After the BS test and taking my medication, I had a small breakfast like every day (fruit + yoghurt).
  2. Lucky for me, I did not fall into a Coma. The first time I had a HYPO, I was lucky to be at that time at the hospital and the nurses knew what was going on. I learned that as soon as I start to sweating a lot and feel fainting I grab a "quick sugar" like Coca Cola or Fructose tablets to bring my Sugar levels back to normal. But ine never knows and I might slip into a Coma next time.
  3. The last few days, my Blood Sugar level was too low according to my usual measurements. Normally, my Blood Sugar level in the morning are between 110 and 125. A few times higher or lower, but very few. The last 3 days, I measured 95. 88 and today 80. While eating lunch at Central Plaza like every day, I started to sweat and feel fainted. I had trouble to think and everything around me was like a dream. Knowing these symptoms, I took a small bottle of Coke and drink it up. A few minutes later, everything was back to normal thank to the COCA COLA. That's my 3rd HYPO in 6 years time and I hope the last.
  4. I don't understand why people in a time as this, continue their illegal activities and even come out to the daylight. Phuket is a bursting vulcan now and foreigners are under the scrunity of every public entity So, keep quit for a few weeks is the message.
  5. Hilarious. A few days ago I watched on Instagram a clip of Russian hookers selling sex openly on Walking Street. Last month, while I was in Pattaya, I got lots of messages in Thaifriendly from African and Russian woman for sex (Freelance). Yet, these 2 woman in Phuket are arrested and the are proudly publishing their "undercover" mission. Thailand at his best.
  6. Next one to "return" to Thailand without conviction will be our Red Bull lover boy.
  7. I don't know what times you are talking about, but I get everything done at the local UOB Branch at Nakhon Ratchasima. Already many years. Also, withdraw money from my FCA account to top-up my Savings account (EUR -> THB) at the local branch in Nakhon Rathasima. No need to go to Bangkok every time for that. I didn't try it yet, but it should be possible to do everything via the UOB-TMRW Application (prompt pay) also . Changing everything to Thai baht is not a good option for me because I am in the frame window of a Visa extension now and I plan anyhow to return to Europe soon.
  8. I agree that it is not easy with the different banks in Thailand. A few years ago, te requirements changed from 400K baht to 800K baht and I wanted to top-up my current bank account at Bangkok Bank. Although I had a FCA (USD), they didn't allow me to top-up my existing account. I needed to have a letter from my Embassy the they would guarantee my account, which was not possible. I tried different banks to store the additional 400K baht, but everywhere the rules for opening a bank account were not possible for me (work permit, tax-id number, etc.) Only UOB, where I had already an account was willing to open an FCA account, but the minimum was 25,000 EUR. Now, with the phone banking account and the UOB-TMRW account (prompt pay) rulse seems to have changed and it would not be strange if Immigration will adapt their rules too.
  9. Nah, he can use the "connections" of his wifee to clear that up (after filling the brown enveloppes).
  10. As far as I have read the story, a court case is going on about the ambulance incident: Lieutenant Colonel Sarupong Thanomjit, the Region 8 Commander, has disclosed that Mr. David faced a previous incident in December of last year, 2024, related to a road altercation. A viral video captured him appearing to refuse to yield to an ambulance on a road in Phuket and even appearing to gesture rudely with his middle finger. Subsequently, the ambulance driver lodged a complaint with the police and shared the video on social media. In response, Mr. David also filed a legal report against the driver, alleging that false information had been disseminated online, tarnishing his reputation and causing defamation.
  11. Can he be deported while court cases againt him are waiting? I was thinking that his passport would be impounded until the court hearings to avoid him to leave the Kingdom.
  12. I am a little bit confused about #4. I have the 800,000 baht at UOB bank in EUR (Foreign Devices). UOB bank doesn't supply customers of a FCA with a Bank Book but send every month a statement of the balance in that account. Immigration accepted the monthly statements (3 months prior to the aplication), certified by the bank. But there was a problem to show the balance on the Bank book at the extension day. I showed the Immigration officials my phone banking application which showed the balance at the time of the extension and the immigration officer accepted that (after taking a picture of the screen of my phone and printing it). Seems that the Immigration accepted the phone banking screen as proof of the balance.
  13. Not necessary, but the mighty hand of the JUNTA is gone and the judges can speak freely now.
  14. Not falling into repitition, but what is wrong with the "BRITS" lately? Brit throw a glass at a Thai woman; British national detained at Phuket airport; British man arrested for LSD selling; British compared to Nazi Germany; Etc.. Is this a fallout of the exit from the EU?
  15. So, will Kalasin be the HUB of the local airport HUBS or not?
  16. I differ your opinion. On Facebook, there are several groups about Laos welcoming Chinese for marriages and surrogancy. Very young Lao girls lining up for the Chinese "buyers". https://www.facebook.com/reel/920816226099441
  17. I might be wrong, but as I read the story, the "victim" was ready to forgive the attackers at the Police gathering. But it was his dear wife who was insulting the "victim" the night of the trespassing and again at the police gathering and claiming that she knew "high placed police officers". After the plead for forgiveness of the Swiss man, his wife was making a mountain of a mole hill and asking the victim to ask publicly for forgiveness to her. GET RID OF THAT WIFE!!!!!
  18. Despite all the promises of the Thai government, the average Thai (unless you are a good looking lady or Lady boy) have a no future in their life. The average wages minus the cost of living and the care of the elders leave nothing to live for. And Thailand has no social safety net for the people who become too sick or too old to work despite the millions Thailand makes our of tourism. I live here already 23 years and see every day people struggling to make a decent living. Poverty goes from the old to the young. A dreadful circle.
  19. A friend of me broke his upper leg in a scout accident. He died on the way to the hospital. A broken or hurt leg can be fatal despite all first aid care.
  20. As soon as I read Tik-Tok, YouTube, Influencer, etc. in the heading, I go on to the next story. That whole Social Media act, where everybody has become a "Specialist" on any subject and tells everybody what they should stop eating/stop drinking/stop doing because X/Y/Z has reached for me the point of ignore this whole thing. I see daily on Facebook/Instagram literally tens of people with a story about something we eat/drink daily and showing a clip with worms warning that the consumption of that food/drink is bad to our health. Social Media has reached the point where "False News" for the sake of reaching viewers has becoming over the top and is slowly killing itself now. Not that I regret to see the the death of Social Media ...
  21. I would not recommend to use WISE for any transaction to anybody. Use bank transferts. I send WISE an email a few days ago, asking a simple question about money transferts, and they could not give me a response to it.
  22. Take care when sending large amounts by SWIFT. All the banking transferts between European countries and Thailand are done at the Thai side by DEUTSCHE BANK and they have the rule that transferts less/equal than 50,000 Euro will be converted automaticly to Thai Baht. This happened to me despite that I mentionned very clearly that the 50,000 EUR should not be converted. Luckely I was able to get the 50,000 EUR without convertion at my Thai Bank, Foreign Devices Account.
  23. Sad to see the lifes of 13 yound woman ruined because of the greed of the driver. Hope that others will get lesson out of this.
