    You may find that only cartridges made by the printer manufacturer will work. I had an HP printer for which I bought refilled cartridges and later identical non-HP ones. My printer declared both fake and refused to work with them.

    A few years ago i was seated in a pub in Ching mai talking to the owner when 2 police sergeants came in, in uniform. The owner excused himself as they sat down in a corner and were served a large Leo each. The owner then took a wad of notes out of the till and paid his "monthly fine". After consuming their beer the pair departed, presumably to the next bar on the list.

    This is quite common. A far out cousin of mine, ten years ago, gave birth to a baby boy who was rushed into intensive care with a breathing abnormality. Just over a week later she collected her 'son' but when she got home she discovered that she had a daughter with her. It was quickly corrected with profuse apologies.

    Thai drivers never learn to use a low gear when descending. I have had to teach several Thai relatives the technique. None of the had ever heard of it.

    Yesterday I went the local PEA office to pay my bill. It was closed before 2.30 pm. Therefore, this morning I tried to pay the bill in a nearby 7eleven .The till turned up a message translating as "No outstanding balance". I cannot understand this. Has PEA decided to give me a free month or is it a gremlin in the system? Suggestions please.

    Just a bit of forward planning in case I cannot renew my extension for marriage at some time in the future. it would appear that with 2 border runs in a year, I could manage 240 days. Please confirm.

    While searching for my new Year treat, I found , in Rimping at Kat Farang, Old Pultney 12 years old at ฿2.600 per bottle. This is a very good price for a very good single malt. The price in a super market in Scotland is Gbp38, equivalent to ฿1600. Enjoy

    I was in UK at the time of the referendum. I cannot recall any reference to the ECJ.
