I have been to several photo shops . All will make copies of existing photos but not one will help me to make my own.
Can any Chiangmai resident point me at an outlet that will sell me glossy Photographic paper.
Thank you

Skype is pinned to my startup menu but will not start even when I click on the icon or the program name itself and select open. I get the following message popping up.
"The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-o-dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem."
I am not sure what it means but reinstalliing Skype did not work. I am using Windows 7 on an Acer laptop.
Can any expert enlighten me?

I would discourage the use of any headset on a motorbike. A full face helmet already blocks off a lot of sound and reduces the sensory perception of what is going on arround you. I can redall many instances when I heard another traffic before it came into my field of view.

As I remember, Thailand has few coal resources and even they are of a high bitumous type making the coal unsuitable for poerd station use. Thailand will have to import fuel for this project. Which general holds the monopoly on coal imports and stands to make a profit when the plant is up and running?

This festival is very good. I took my 9 year old granddaughter to it a few years ago and she loved it. I recomend it for prepubescent children. Older ones might be bored.

I investigated this about 2 years ago with a sinmilar car. With the car in my wifes name and owed for more than 1 year it was legally possible but my son-in-law advised against it, because it was a prestige make and customs are so corrupt that it was probable that it would be conficated for the use of a customsemployee. I andonned the idea.

UK Embassy please take note.

I cannot find my previous post on this subject. Mods please move if appropriate.
As I posted last week, the Royal Thai Consulate in Glasgow rejected my application for a Non-Imm O visa based marriage to a Thai citizen, deeming my Scottish Marriage Certificate with certified translation and document proving registration in Chiangmai, inadequate. Only a Thai Marriage Certificate would do. l telephoned the Royal Thai Embassy in London for advice and they instructed me to send the application direct to them. I did so on Friday last week. Today, Wed. @ 1020 Royal Mail retuned my passport containing the asked for visa. I have Emailed my thanks to the Royal Thai Embassy for their quick action and asked them to inform the Consolate in Glasgow of their" misinterpretation". I do not hold out much hpoe of the consulate changing. In the meantime, I would advise against approaching this consulate for any visa other than tourist.

I am not certain of the correct forum to post this. Moderators(s) please move if appropriate.
My wife is soon to return to Thailand, She has a wee laptop which she carries everywhere. One of her friends has told her that Thai customs at all entry airports are routinely examining all laptops owned by returning Thais and confiscating them and sometimes fineing the owners if the laptop has any history of accessing any site disapproved of by the Junta.
I consider this unlikely given the huge numbers of passengers arriving every day. Madam wants me to recover her laptop to factory settings before she sets off. I can do, but has any body else heard of or experienced this story.

It appears that the pupose of schools in Thailand is to make the owners rich. Education is a secondary object.

Further information has come to light. We married in Scotland in 1986 but have did not register the marriage until Feb 1014. We were not issued with a Thai Marriage Certificate. My wie asked for one at the time and was told that because we already had a Scottish Certificate that was sufficient. Furthemore the official said " you cannot have two". This Scottish Certificate, even with certified translation, is not acceptable for Visa puposes. Without a Thai certificate I may have difficulty getting an extension based on marriage
I have asked family in Chiangmai to try again at the ampeu but in the meantime I am touting for any more sensible suggestions.

I cannot find the exact answer in the visas forum.
I am married to a Thai citizen and retiring to Thailand next month. I tried to apply for a Non-Imm O visa based on marriage, but the consul has rejected the document which I thought was my Marriage Certificate and time is short, I may not be able to obtain a new copy from Thailand in time. The paperwork for my company pension has also been rejected as "not authenticated" so a retirement Visa is not available. As I understand it I can enter Thailand on a visa exempt basis (for which I will need a return ticket) or a Touist Visa. Can I change the visa basis once I am in thailand and how do I do it ?

What puzzles me is the excuse "there is no call for it". How can a product go out ot stock if nobody wants it?

Who's pockets will the profit go into?

Some two weeks ago I had difficulty accessing internet banking. An expert at the bank helpline led me through a series of attempts and discovered that I had blocked pop-ups on both my antivirus programme and my brouser. Removing pop-up blocker on the antivirus solved the problem.
However, along the way I had to disable and enable various programmes trying to find the problem. I have managed to disable the computer service which remembers my login for ThaiVisa and several other preferred sites and also the preferred configuration for some others. I now have to log in every time and select the wanted configuration. I cannot find how to enable these services. There may be more than one programme disabled. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium and up to date Firefox. I also have Avast free antivirus and Spybot installed.
Request help from experts.
