Some years before he finally expired, I took an elderly friend to Jomtien to renew his extension. His presence, with zimmer and appearance of general decrepitude, reduced the place to chaos. Maybe not the case here, but.....If it is red eye, it is essential to differentiate between infection and acute glaucoma. Most GPs are not adequately trained to make the distinction, or deal with many eye problems. Many patients have gone essentially blind before the correct diagnosis is made. I well remember as a pre-registered student in uk, going into a pharmacy to buy diagnostic drugs for my practice. The pharmacist was sporting a red eye, in considerable pain, but had no idea what was wrong. He was self-medicating for an infection. I told him it was clearly not an infection, and he required urgent ophthalmology.....now! Off he went, I was right, and he thanked me in due course... It is also important to differentiate between viral, microbial, and amoebic infection. The treatments are quite different, and the wrong one could blind you. Asking the security guards' wife, or AN members, is not a very safe option!

Without reference to the comments on this or any other forum, my attitude to this conflict and its precursors has not changed. "A plague on both your houses!" The world will be a better place without fanatics and extremists, of any religious, political, gender-related or other persuasion. Sadly, innocents will inevitably suffer collateral damage, because the extremists on all sides quite deliberately involve them. Gaia does not care. I agree that the Thai education system is to blame, and it is deliberately not fit for purpose 'cos that's what the rotten from the top down hi-sos need and want. But, I also blame Thai culture and parenting: the kids are cosseted like little gods, with no control or discipline.

You can be sued for defamation, whether the allegation is true or not. The only legal way to collect debt is through the courts. If there is no contract there is no debt.
