Actually it does. A few years ago, SWMBO and I were returning by bus from Ekkamai, with luggage. We negotiated a ride home from the Nua bus station to the darkside, 100baht, which I thought was pretty fair. The driver did not lrave immediately, he waited until he had a full load, and then proceeded to Jomtien Beach Road via the hill, dropping people off at various points on the way. When we were the only passengers left, he turned up Soi Wat Boon, and stopped on a piece of waste ground (it was not so built up in those days). He climbed out and demanded another 200baht to take us to our home in Nongkabok. This after the best part of an hour farting about in Jomtien! We got out and walked with our cases to the nearest bar, after informing him I only wanted a ride, not to buy his f.....g taxi, and would pay him nothing unless he fulfilled the contract. Probably fortunately he did not speak or understand enough English that it mattered! I took a motorbike taxi home, for 100baht, and went back with the car to collect SWMBO etc. With a foul temper!

Is this is the cretin who thought keeping a leopard in his garden in a residential area was a good idea? https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Architect_Mario_Kleff_with_his_male_leopard_Typhoon.jpg -
I was stopped in a queue at traffic lights, behind a taxi, with another alongside it. I thought it odd that the one in front had yellow paint on top of the black number. The one alongside had the black number clearly painted/printed on top of the yellow. I soon realised that the guy in front had normal black on white plates, badly overpainted to look like taxi yellow ones. Both taxis had yellow/red liveries, both Chonburi plates. I wonder just how many of these liveried taxis are actually genuine and properly licensed, insured, etc.

Still there, went yesterday. Just as good as ever, pity about the parking, though, it's become very busy thereabouts.

To cal four portakabins and four polytunnels a "resort" is a bit of a stretch, in my view. A few bamboo mats to camp on, even moreso. -
This process is a farce. The apostile from HMG is a certificate that certifies that the copy of your extract of the register of your marriage was signed by the official who signed it. The Thai embassy then certifies that the apostile was signed by the person who signed it. The MOFA then certifies that the certifiate certifying the certificate certifying the extract was signed by the person who signed it. None of the certifiers know anything about any of the certifiers they are certifying. And each stage involve massive injections of dosh to government and couriers. They are certifiying that the certificate says that it was signed by someone who signed it...... not that it WAS signed by the person it says signed it. Confused much......? To add insult to injury, once you have it, no-one gives a monkeys'.

SCB ending SCB Easy Net internet banking.
Grusa replied to phetphet's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
You misunderstood me, and malign me. What I said, or meant, was that all my data that I needed was already on my app - because I put it there and use it - so I lost nothing. I did not at any time make any comment on whether the online SCB Easy desktop site is or was currently available, or what could or could not be accessed on it. -
