  1. I have no idea. All I'm reporting is what Jomtien TM30 desk told me today when I asked her when I did a physical TM30 report today. I asked "Next time, can I do my TM30 report online?" and her reply was "No, you are not the owner. Only the owner can do it online"
  2. They would have a regular pension with or without the visa as that having a visa has nothing to do with having a pension. If they've worked all their lifetime, they should be able to put a measly 800k in a bank account without having to pay an agent to do the dodgy dodgy because they don't have 800k in a bank account. 800k is a small amount for someone working all their lifetime to have in a savings account.
  3. I really am unsure how the queue ticket girls at the counter in Jomtien will check your TM30 status in the system, as all they do is check the back of your passport if you have the TM30 slip stapled there. If not, they've been telling people and waving that slip around that they need to do it as the first step or you can't apply for an extension.
  4. Probably the best thing to do as Thailand doesn't need any foreigners who are lawbreakers and don't stay here legally. 11 years overstay, geez....
  5. The problem is they may not be correct, but will you argue with the immigration officer and/or the queue ticket girls that they are incorrect when you go there for an extension when they say you didn't come and do a TM30 "correctly", as the way they believe it should be done, in this case physically at Jomtien immigration? Being correct is one thing, but arguing with an IO they are wrong and making them lose face probably won't go down too well. Might not only get a 1,600 baht fine for no or late TM30 but actually turn out worse. I don't think I'd want to get confrontational with an IO saying that they are wrong and make them lose face, especially when you are very reliant on them to stay here. In this case you have to believe what they say is "correct" and just do what they tell you to do.
  6. I used to also do my extensions at Jomtien 3-4 weeks before stamp, but as of November & December 2023 they only accept one business day prior. I posted proof with photos of this on the thread I started at that time, so it's no BS and all true with actual proof. Here's the thread with photo proof:
  7. Spot on. He should go to Jomtien and tell the immigration officers he and she are all wrong, or tell the queue ticket girls they're wrong. I can see how that'd go down lol. Especially the queue ticket girls who aren't really a very friendly bunch of girls.
  8. Yeah, it's false when it comes straight from multiple immigration officers at Jomtien lol. Surely anyone with a brain in their head would believe the immigration officer who's standing in front of them and giving them the same info over and over again to them and others there than some randoms on this forum.
  9. No, I've been told multiple times at Jomtien that their stance that each and every time you come back to Thailand, you must report a TM30 within 72 hours of arrival, even if on the same visa and staying at the same place. That's what they've told me multiple times in the past, and yet again I heard them say this to the American dude who needed it repeated to him a few times for him to understand this.
  10. How is it false info when it comes from the immigration officer at the TM30 desk? It is obviously Jomtien's stance just like it's their stance that each and every time you come back to Thailand, you must report a TM30 within 72 hours of arrival, even if on the same visa and staying at the same place. That's what they've told me multiple times in the past, and yet again I heard them say this to the American dude who needed it repeated to him a few times for him to understand this. Anyway, this info is current as of today, 26th December 2023. When the time comes for doing an extension at Jomtien, they will say you haven't done a TM30 with then and fine you 1,600 baht. If I were using Jomtien, I'd surely pay attention to this as that's what they are saying.
  11. I'll listen to the immigration officers from Jomtien who work at the TM30 desk as Jomtien are the ones I have to deal with when I go there for an extension. If it's wrong, then they are wrong. But I won't try and argue with them trying to say they are wrong and they should read up some regulations. I don't think that'd go down to well for me, or for anyone else trying that.
  12. Lol ok, you know better than the immigration officers who work at Jomtien. It's people like you that give people rubbish advice. I'd stick with advice from the horses mouth, straight from Jomtien Immigraion officers over some random poster like yourself.
  13. To be honest, in the past 8 years of me doing extensions in BKK and Jomtien I never had that rubbish that you need to come back one business day prior. Seems like a newly introduced thing at Jomtien. No, I didn't get the wrong IO. If I got the wrong IO, that would mean all of them are the wrong IO who all work at Jomtien as they all said exactly the same thing. Both the two queue desk girls AND Desk 1 who do the extensions being the man and the woman both told me the exact same thing. That is a total of 4 people. Ended up wasting 2 days going there. First time about 25 days prior and the 2nd time about a week prior. The 2nd time I went there they attached a small ticket with the date and time for me to come back, being one business day before expiry of stamp.
  14. Are you the owner? You can't do it online as a tenant who's renting. Lucky I went to Jomtien Immigration and did a TM30 there, as if you do it online you are not allowed to do it as a tenant who's renting. I asked Jomtien Immigration after doing the TM30 if I can do it online, and she said "no because you are not the owner. Only the owner can do it". What I've found on this forum is there are a lot incorrect information being given. The best thing to do is to only listen to the immigration officers only. That's the only safe method.

I asked Jomtien Immigration after doing the TM30 if I can do it online, and she said "no because you are not the owner. Only the owner can do it". What I've found on this forum is there are a lot incorrect information being given by a lot of members here. The best thing to do is to only listen to the immigration officers only, otherwise you'll get in trouble and get a nice fine on top of it all. So far there's 3 things that many people have given wrong advice here: 1. TM30 online - people saying anyone can do it and that it saves time. No you can't, not unless you are the owner. 2. TM30 doesn't need to be done each and every time you enter Thailand and stay at the same residence and on the same visa. Another rubbish that has been posted. You MUST do a TM30 each and every time you enter Thailand, even if staying at the same address and on the same visa. This again was clearly said numerous times at the TM30 desk today to an American elderly dude (maybe in his 60's). Don't know why it needed to be said to him multiple times but he didn't seem to understand it. 3. Extensions of stay can be done a few weeks in advanced. Again this is nonsense, at least at Jomtien. I had to come back 3 times to finally get it done. They only allow you to extend ONE business day before your stamp in your passport expires. You hand in the paperwork on that day, then you come back on the next business day to collect your passport. So you don't actually have your passport on you after this and the day you come back your stamp has already expired so if they somehow lose your passport, you will be on overstay.
  16. Roughly how long does it take for the acceptance notification via email to take after submitting? If it takes a few days I think it may be safer for me to make the trip to Jomtien immigration and do it the manual way, just to be safe.
  17. They don't make it easy to report a TM30 online as a renter. After registering and setting up the account, does someone actually check if the documents are correct? What would be bad is if a renter does it online, then they find out a few months down the track when going to do an extension of stay that the TM30 done online wasn't correct and wasn't accepted.
  18. I'm looking at the FAQ on the site: https://tm30.immigration.go.th/TM30/Foreigner/RegisterEN/index.html Am I right in understanding that as a tenant, we can't report a TM30 ourselves online? Preparation document information? The registrant can be a home owner or business owner or a person authorized to operate. Please prepare the following documents for registration: 1. Business license or signed copy business registration confirmation. 2. Letter of authorization to conduct the registration. 3. Copy of ID card of person giving authorization person. Kindly to prepare as a document file.
  19. Has anyone done the reporting of TM30 online themselves as a tenant? https://tm30.immigration.go.th/tm30/#/external/security/register/reg-web I'm looking at the "Register" link on the site and one of the questions is uploading documents/files but that has nothing to do with us as a tenant who's renting the property. I would've thought they'd be asking for us to upload the rental contract with the owners passport details & land title document. Attached file Document 1. Business license or signed copy business registration confirmation 2. Letter of authorization to conduct the registration 3. Copy of ID card of person giving authorization person
  20. No sir, you, my friend, understand very little about Thailand and bar girls. Many of the bar girls have a gambling problem, most have a baby to a Thai man who they dumped on their parents to look after, most are liers and cheaters, are only interested in money from sucker foreigners and have many suckers around the world sending them money, most are happy to sleep around with other dudes for money, even if they have a bf/husband. Normal Thais don't think highly of bargirls and don't want to be associate with them.
  21. There are no real "traditional" women in the Pattaya area. 90% of them are from out of province coming here to sell what they have. "Wants to be a mother" - well, most of them are already single mothers while a small handful don't have kids already. The ones that are dumped their kids in the village for their parents to look after while they make the moolah here. Some wants more kids, others don't.
  22. A lot of them or legal age working in normal jobs are up for some P4P. In fact, many of them go out to clubs and sell the punani too or are semi-pro for some extra cash. Ones that work in retail, fast food restaurants, waitresses, hotels, dental assistants, salons, etc.
  23. You don't know agents help do the dodgy dodgy for old farts who don't have 800k in the bank and "help" then with this legal requirement for a big fee?
  24. Can Russians get a 30 day extension after the 90 days? I've seen quite a number of Ruskies at Jomtien Immigration, so I'm guessint so???
  25. Well, that just sucks and it plain stupid. Pay 500 baht extra and have to wait another week. You may as well go there yourself and lodge it yourself. You still need to wait another one business day to get your passport back with the extension, which must be a recent thing as previously you got it back the same day.
