  1. Of course
  2. Need to get one so I can apply for a Thai motorbike licence. I'm currently on a visa exempt entry. What are the current requirements? Is there a certain amount of days you have to have still in your visa exempt period before they will issue it, or it doesn't matter? I will also be doing a 30 day extension of stay at the same time. I believe the requirements are: 1. Completed Application Form 2. Two Photographs for each application - Passport Size - approximately 4x5 cm or 1 5/8 x 2 inches (One photo will be retained with the application and the other will be affixed to the Residence Certificate) 3. Original Passport 4. Photocopies of pages in your passport - Identity Page, Visa Exempt entry stamp. 5. Original rental contract 6. A fee of 300 baht
  3. What does that actually mean when it happens? PP issues a visa in your passport and put a void stamp on it so you can't use it at all? Why even issue the visa then? Is it to make it look bad in your passport for if you want to try again at another embassy/consulate or when you return back to Thailand?
  4. Have there been previous reports of the Thai consulate in Ho Chi Minh being unfriendly with people being rejected tourist visas, or is this one of the ones considered to be very easy to deal with?
  5. Anticipated stay in Thailand would be 75 days during end of 2022, a few days overseas during end of 2022, and now another 75 days until March. Now looking at possibly a few days overseas in March then another 75 days after that, then fly back to Oz somewhere around early June. Total would be 75 day x 3 = 225 days in total.
  6. How long does it usually take to do a border bounce and back from Nong Khai?
  7. Thanks. Can the Nong Khai border be crossed and come back to Thailand the same day?
  8. Bangkok I believe the 45 day.visa exempt thing is for entries until 30th March.
  9. I remember someone posting last year that 2 entries per calendar year applied to airport entries. Is it really only for land crossings?
  10. Aussie passport holder here. I've already done my 2nd visa exempt entry end of DEC 2022 via BKK airport and about to get the 30 days immigration extension. That will take me to the beginning of March. Since it's a new calendar year, would I be ok doing in doing another 45 day visa exempt entry via BKK airport by flying to a neighboring country, spending a few says there then flying back to BKK? Alternatively, if I were to apply for a 60 day tourist visa, which closeby places are the 'friendliest' and best to apply at? Ideally I'd like to get another ~3 months in Thailand before flying back to Oz.
  11. Haven't been there in 3 years. Closures of Bars, shops? New openings? Heard that McDonalds (Beach Road/Soi Post Office) and Foodland (in the mall) have closed. Any old or new Hot-Spots on Beach-Road or in the Soi's adjacent to BR? Why don't you get off your ass and go, then you'll know what's opened and closed.
  12. "in the evening they bite my legs.....i use fan but still they bite me" Wear long pants and don't open the windows at night. Problem solved.
  13. There must be a shiiitload of tourists here now. Everyone's going for their 30 days extensions by the looks of it.
  14. Here is another extra reason why NOT to own property in Thailand. Renting is the way to go.
  15. For me, it all depends if I exercise. Hard exercise, between 8 and 10 p.m. No exercise, usually 11. I hard exercise, but that's usually with a girl moaning hard during exercise in the early hours of the morning.
  16. Bruh, your poll only stops at 2am ???????? I usually sleep anywhere between 3am to 6am on most days.
  17. That's what Thais call them. Yes, I mean nightclubs. Wonder if the cops will stick with their crazy 2am shutdown tomorrow or will they be a bit more relaxed and have some holiday spirit.
  18. Walking St Discos on New Years Eve 31st December - have they been all traditionally packed out big time in the past? Way more than any other normal day?
  19. The best gift Immigration could give to tourists would be waiving the silly 1,900 baht extension fee for when we have to go there every few months.
  20. They don't have anything available for rent until a few months from now. Any other suggestions for recommended motorbike companies?
  21. Ok, thanks for the explaination.
  22. This Thai language forum is completely dead. Guess not many people on Aseannow know much Thai
  23. Only the real smart cookies out there manage to put their passports into a laundry machine ???????? Seriously, how difficult is it to empty all your pockets once you arrive in your room? I do it every time.
  24. Why did you go swimming with your passport? ????????????
