Yesterday I rode in the Soi VC area. I saw many young Arabs on motorbikes who where riding a lot faster than me. I didn't see one helmet on any of them. The way they were riding I doubt if any had licenses.
Doubling the financial requirement for a retirement visa would hurt me (I would have to relocate) it wouldn't hurt them because most of the ones I saw looked to be in their early 20s ,so wouldn't be here on a retirement visa anyway.
Considering how beneficial this is for the child and the country as well (breastfeed children are healthier which cuts down expenses for family and government), you would have thought the powers that be would have a massive advertising campaign and set up all the facilities to make it possible.
And before I get posts saying why don't I go and look, asking on here means that lots of other people (including me) wont waste a trip to the market if the answer is no but will encourage people to go if the answer is yes. I thought that the whole point of Thai Visa (I prefer the old name) is to make life easier for expats and others.
I have been buying oysters now from Naklua market. I dozen today 480 Baht.. I just wish there was somewhere closer to Thepprasit Road. Mind you I haven't tried Rattanakorn market. Anybody know if they sell what I'm looking for.
What the UK Government forgets is that people living abroad don't use the NHS, and they don't claim any other benefits that people receive if they lived there. That would more than pay any money paid to pensioners here. I have been in hospital 5 times in the years I have lived here. I paid. Cost to the NHS -nothing.
Hi Jingthing. While we are on the subject of Chinese food can you tell me of a westernized Chinese Restaurant in Pattaya. I always used Choy Soy before.
It seems to me that the private company collected the money and forgot to pass it on. So the water company is going after the individuals instead of the company.
There is a big difference between drinking at home and popping out to the local for a bevvy. People on holiday don't really want to sit in their hotel room drinking, and of course there is also the possibility that don't know until they go out in the evening.
Regular drinkers who live here know exactly where to go to get served.
As somebody wrote earlier these things should be Idiot proof, Child proof, Disabled People proof etc. A slight distraction at the end of an Escalator or Moving Walkway shouldn't cause you to loose your leg or your slipper.
My father worked in a brewery. Every Friday he went to the tasting room with the Brewer and had a couple of pints. He said it was the best tasting Bitter he had had for years.
He moaned that it was never the same in pubs. Kept in the wrong conditions and they didn't clean the pipes often enough.
