  1. Good Job ! Another potential Thai murderer off the Roads for a while ( I hope )
  2. In Years to come, the situation of the elderly being in Debt is going to become a major issue for the Government. Money is being loaned out now to 30 + Year old people, for property purchase that has a 40 Year repayment term. That means the Loans are payed off when the person reaches an age of around 70 Years +. Many, if not all of these people will have ben retired from their Jobs at at maybe 60 Years of age or less, leaving 10 Years or so of minimal earnings
  3. Using Solar pump would suggest quite a hallow depth to the well. This would of course also suggests the water would be full of all kinds of contaminates. I have a well that is over 150 M deep drilled into solid Rock, with water drawn from a depth of 125 M ,that is more likely to produce " Perrier Water "
  4. And these are just the ones they managed to get off their A@@@S and catch How many Thousands still driving around with fully loaded vehicles
  5. And ask any one of them what is the actual first Day of the Thai New Year. Because there has to be a first Day- right ? Is it today 12th April, 13th or what They have no reply
  6. Airbus also had a done and dusted deal to move into Thailand a little while ago. That did not materialise, and until Apple actually have a roof over their head here, I will wait with baited breath.
  7. Instead of Fruit, they really need to take at good look at all the Fish and Animals that are smuggled into the Country for "Entertainment purposes "
  8. Probably cant really afford to put the Gasoline in the thing either
  9. Probabbly not, citing the recent rise again of Oil on the World Market
  10. Be Warned !!!! If you carry on with your reckless driving habits, we will be forced to issue the exact same warning for Loy Kratong as well
  11. I feel totally reassured for my safety in seeing these Uniformed "minders "entering my watering hole.
  12. All okay, but who is there to enforce any decision taken to help reduce the carnage ?
  13. There really seems like there is little commitment to reduce the Road Deaths due to Drink Driving 30 Police Officers at just 1 checkpoint, and they cannot breathalise every single Driver !!!!
  14. Sad really, that this could be the highlight of your Year
  15. This Guy Anucha and his cronies need to get out more and do some actual " hands on, wallet open " research Global Oil prices did fall for a short while about 3 weeks ago to$80/ Barrel, but since have risen again to about $85 Barrel because OPEC cur production by 1 M Barrels per day to maintain the price.
  16. This is not strictly correct Many are getting drunk from the moment they wake up in the Mornings - all Year round
  17. You also have to pay with some Thai Banks levying a charge when a withdrawal is made outside of the Province of issuance.
  18. Route 36 has carried the label of " Death Highway " for a number of Years now. This road is truly appalling even among Thai standards
  19. This headline comes as no surprise to me. The parameters for a large decline have been evident now for over 6 Months, and the Gov,t themselves stated just a short while ago, that the rise in Tourist arrivals and revenue, was not offsetting the decline in Export and Manufacturing GDP. With the end of the Tourist high season now rapidly approaching, the decline is only going to accelerate. Fitch being the first Credit Rating Agency to start making noises about the Thai GDP, and the others will surely follow. One of the major concerns of these Agencies is the amount of Household unsecured Loans ( 20 % only secured in Thailand ), and roughly 94 % of Thai GDP , and if things worsen only slightly, I can foresee serious issues for the Thai Economy going forward
  20. Dont Drink and Drive should be top of the agenda 365 Days a Year and rigorously enforced by a credible Police Force. But Hey ! TIT, and the annual road carnage will continue.
  21. This is the second nonsense statement from this Guy in as many weeks Maybe he is up for reelection
  22. If you need the services of any Agent, it is ( IMO ) absolutely essential to engage the services of an OISC registered Agent. There are a couple of Agents in the UK that are also able to help you as they have Offices here in Thailand. Many Agents will promise you a good service, and then for some reason they will let you down after cleaning your Wallet of a load of Money. I used an agent in the UK ( al be it some 17 Years ago ) called " Orchid of Siam" to get Visas to the U Kfor my Wife and Stepdaughter. If they are still operational, I would recommend these people Tony and his Wife, Lek ( she was a Lawyer sitting in the Home Office policy office at the time ), are thorough and professional, and any application that lands on a Home Office desk in there Folder will not get rejected such is their reputation. Good Luck
  23. I also believe that some kind of mental agility examination should be conducted on potential Licensees, in conjunction with a reading test for road signage etc. There is something sadly lacking in the ability of Thais ( mostly ) to be able to control a Vehicle, which is a 2 or more wheeled missile.
  24. And he was stealing and sellng for 5Years Maybe was only the few he nicked last wee that were " quickly recovered "
  25. If there were no outlet for the stuff, then the Manufacturers would be forced to change. Close all 7/11 Sugar Mines
