  1. The fact that that the Police hire Thai volunteers at a small fee per shift yet still need foreign language speakers (currently 20 languages between them) for no fee indicates that no jobs are being taken away from Thais - at least no paying jobs.

    Sorry but I disagree.

These people are not just providing translation assistance, they are doing other duties that can and are preformed by very competent Thai citizens already.

  2. Interesting how a Farang donates his time to help other Farangs but instead at looking at the positive we look at it negative.

Maybe you can explain why you think you should disrespect someone who is trying to help.

just look around at all the unlawful people running around on motorbikes, maybe just maybe he may stop one of these wonderful people from crashing into you.

Because they take away jobs from good Thai citizens who would be employed to do this work.

I believe there is not one job that a Thai national can't do that a falang can do in this field to a reasonable standard.

  3. Bring them all over to my house, I'll look after them all for you hard working boys gratis. That's all I'll say on this topic...no sense in reading 6 pages of transgenderphobic rants and hate speech. I'd much rather be Facebooking a new friend...

    Ok

Can you post your name, address and phone number .

I will round a few up and drop them on your bed. ( sorry door step )

how much will you pay them each, so I can tell them in advance what they should expect from you.

  4. The front loaders I believe use a lot less water. I save a ton of cash with mine.

I can choose the water level in my top loader.

Can you do that in a front loader ?

How much money do you think you save a month ( ton of cash )

    over having a front loader ? 75 baht ?

or is it a saving because you run a laundry ?

Sorry, what I meant by that was the savings due to no longer using a laundry. This surprised me as I did not think I would ever use the washing machine my last rental came with. A year later I would not want to do without one.

    Totally understand now.

Yes save a load of money.wai2.gif

  5. And the answer to that is that you can be making things worse while breaking the law by not stopping and passports are not what they normally check. Just licences, helmets and tax.

    That will be next. bah.gif

  6. It is a new trend, I think. I see my students doing a lot of it.

    Yes your right.

I think it looks real funny.

it kind of looks so out of place for the cute ladies of Thailand doing this.

a bit like the finger up the nose trick over here just don't look right !!!!!!!

  7. "Police blamed the heavy rains and the slippery road for the accident."

Of course they do! They wouldn't even dream of blaming a Thai driver who is under trained, under qualified, and probably "under the influence" It just had to be rain and roads, or evil spirits doing it.

Top marks man, wai2.gif never thought of the evil sprits.

Maybe they could give there busses nick names to confuse the evil sprits and remain safe on the roads. smile.png

  8. 17 Chinese tourists injured in bus crash

Pattaya, Chon Buri:- A chartered bus taking 17 Chinese tourists from Koh Samet to Nongnuch Garden in Pattaya overturned injuring them Sunday afternoon, police said.

Pol Lt Nawapol Benchamas, an officer on duty of Pattaya police station, was informed of the accident at 2 pm Sunday. He was told that a bus overturned and crashed into a roadside of the Pattaya-bound Krathing Lai-Rayong Road in Moo 10 village in Tambon Pong of Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung district.

Police and rescuers from the Sawang Buribun Thammasathan Pattaya Foundation rushed to the scene and they found a small white bus of TWB Co with Bangkok license plate overturned on the left roadside.

They found eight Chinese men and nine Chinese woman injured along with a Thai driver. Most of them suffered bruises while three women were severely injured at their back and neck.

The rescuers provided them first-aid treatment and rushed them to the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.

The driver, Kachornsak Puangprakhone, 43, said he was driving the tourists from Koh Samet in Rayong to the Nongnuch Garden in Pattaya and when he arrived at the scene, it rained heavily, making it hard for him to see the road ahead.

As a result, he tried to step on the brake to slow down the bus but the road was slippery, causing the bus to spin before it overturned and fell to the roadside.

Kachornsak said he led all the tourists to leave the bus through broken windows and called police for help.

Police blamed the heavy rains and the slippery road for the accident.

  13. The police released him after incident with a non Thai person. But they fine and threaten arrest to a young lady who had a swiss army knife in her car box. When will this abuse end against non Thai people. I hope some one will be fired or transferred to a less awareness job!

Think your find she said the knife was for protection !!!!!!!!!!

so she was pretty stupid to say that.

could have said it was to cut open a mango !!!!!!!

Yeah that what she said..Mind you she was not even the owner of that knife it belonged to her dutch husband..Police should have asked the owner .

But why the crazy guy gets back his knife after he treatens farangs with it?

May i assume his simple knife was not expensive so the police had no interest to confiscate it and it so they gave it back.

The fact this guys uses his knife for attacking farangs it not a issue or any concern business as usual

    Totally agree mate.

Police even have a bunch of our own helping them do nothing

    Amazing Thailand.

  15. It's amazing how much opinion there is on this subject. Unsurprisingly comments are totally polarised, either ladyboy haters or ladyboy fans.

I have absolutely no problem telling anybody that I like ladyboys. I do go with ladyboys, though usually I find the ones that hang out on beach road in Pattaya are not really very appealing.

One thing that is certain is that Ladyboy's who choose to work in the sex industry get a lot of business, so clearly a large number of people feel the way that I do and enjoy going with ladyboys.

Sadly, lots of people make the incorrect assumption that having sex with a ladyboy is a gay thing, which it most certainly is NOT. Personally I am totally liberated from labels such as gay or straight, but it's sad to see that so many men who are attracted to ladyboys feel ashamed to admit it.

I won't go as far as to say that everyone who is anti-ladyboy is struggling with issues of their own sexuality.. but I bet its a fair percentage.

Ok mate, if you say so.

  16. Sorry to say this but you are a self opionated ass hole

But I am sure you have heard that before.

Like looking in the mirror huh?gigglem.gif

I am happy to know exactly what I am, and, I make efforts to improve myself, you, however, seem to have reached your true potential in life.

    Ass hole

    + 1

  17. 1) no not on medication. ( are you ? )

    2) you said (That's strange, I am pretty sure restaurants can sell at any time)

I think any company will sell what it can at all times if it can, but funny it all started around the same time as the restriction on selling alcohol come in a few years back. what you think ?

    3) calling me an alcoholic is a bit silly, because I don't agree with your comments. w00t.gif

Few years back? you mean 4 months ago?

I am not the one running around Big C looking who sells beer during the day, am i?blink.png

    1) No, a few years ago, 4 months !!!! please explain ?

2 ) If you got out a bit more in the past, we would not be having this conversation.

    3) who is running around the BigC , don't be silly mate.

    1. Restricted alcoholic beverages sale times will take effect January 23, 2015

    2. Even if i did go out, i still would not drink during the day. If i went out in the past? makes no difference to present or future for the very same reason-i do not drink during the day. And if i did not work, i certainly would not be running around Big C looking for who sells alcohol

    3. Who is the one stating if one ran around Big C, he would find beer? Did you run around to find that place or guessing?

    ok mate

    have a nice day

  18. That's strange, I am pretty sure restaurants can sell at any time

    No its not.

Fuji at bigC has not sold alcohol for the last 5-7 years between 3 -5 pm ( could be a bit out on the time )

in pattaya, where you been for 5-7 years ?

but have a look around BigC and you will get a beer,

  19. Replies 6 and 7 are the answers I was looking for. Those who choose to question my parenting skills should taker a closer look at there own issues. Cynical remarks are not appreciated and serve no purpose on this forum.

My child does not get a new toy daily, however since he going thru potty training he know if he makes number two a special toy is his. Some of you who replied with trash remarks, I pitty your judgement!

You could have just asked the question

where are the 20baht shops in pattaya that have kids toys.

    but you did not. blink.png

now you don't like the replies. sorry I bothered passifier.gif
