Resident can be as furious as they want. Tea money didn't get paid, so the illegally modified hotel was ordered torn down. The hotel owner probably ran away to avoid having to pay to have the entire building razed and removed, at enormous cost. Now it will just sit like this. Take a picture next year and let's see how it looks.

Any Catholics on this forum? Does anyone go to St. Nikolaus Church on Sukhumvit or the other church on the dark side? And these appear to be the only two Catholic churches in Pattaya/Jomtien area. Is this correct?

As others have mentioned, Big C Extra on Pattaya Klang make a few excellent sourdough bread offerings. I think the sourdough round and the sourdough long are the same. The sourdough round stays better as I have noticed that the crust of the loaf gets a little hard. If you are lucky, they will have hot loafs right out of the oven that you can buy. And they will cut them in the machine. I find the clerks at that location to be very kind, quick, and helpful. This is difficult to find in Pattaya.

Thai men in Pattaya know they can assault, beat or stab, a farang and get away with a very modest 500 baht fine.

I think that immigration doesn't care as much at lands crossngs. You sit in a hot room all day in the end of nowhere and see how you act.

Soi Zero. From nana, walk to where the overpass is. There are some really great street food places there. Also, there are lots of street food places  on the same side of the street a few hundred meters down in a small mall where the 7/11 is. Really great food.

I am looking for a big juicy roasted chicken that I can bring home and eat for several meals with sides that I prepare, to include broccoli, bread or rice, etc...

Big C chicken are nothing special. I want something yummy.

Has anyone been there? Their chickens are twice the price of those at Big C. Are they that much better to justify the premium  or are they much bigger? It's on Soi Buakhao near the night market.

I can't find coffee beans anywhere. Are there no ships selling coffee beans? Where can good coffee beans be found?

(I have seen beans for sale at Starbucks, but at cray prices).

And if you get into a taxi and expect that they will turn on the meter,  you are very mistaken.

Once you are in the taxi, you'll pay what they want you to pay or you'll get verbally and/or physically assaulted.

What about the "taxi" drivers in front of Big C extra on Pattaya Klang? They don't even have real taxis. But they will take your real money.

If I live in Jomtien, can I pay my electricity bill in Pattaya? If so, where do I go in Pattaya ?

I have been all over Jomtien looking for a gym, and I didn't see one gym where I would feel comfortable working out. 

What I saw at these places:

-No A/C.

-Very poorly lit at night ( which makes safely working out difficult).

-Lots of rust.

-Cable crossover machine bolted so the height cannot be changed.

-Old, old equipment.

-Very limited space, so that even a few people makes it crowded.

I know you said you only want cardio. I find beach runs are good for that.

Where is it located? Google map    link please, if you can.

No offence mate but uni aged daughter hanging out with her dad on islands. Nothing wrong with it but you sure you are not being protective and rightly so but perhaps she has mates in thailand at same time or something?

 

Uni aged daughters are fairly adventurous is all I'm saying so maybe she will be hard to please?

 

 

Only she is coming. And she has never been to Thailand, and has no family here. She had no choice but to hang out with daddy.

I've decided to get a second tattoo. Can anyone recommend a tattoo artist who does excellent work in Pattaya?

I'd rather pay top dollar to get quality work done because it cannot be undone.
