On the same flight on the same day, with separate bookings sat next to each other, with the same first and last name, living ~15 miles from each other.

Those odds are pretty narrow. There again, so are the odds of winning the lottery, but it happens regularly. Doesn't make the odds of a specific instance any better though.

How dare mention that they are bald. Hirsute deprived is the modern term. I've seen more hair on a billiard ball. 15 miles apart. I reckon their dad had a bike.😉

‘Kicking’ Swiss Man Hit Again For Holding Registered Pistols

THE SWISS man whose visa was revoked after he allegedly kicking a female doctor as she sat on the stairs leading from his villa to Cape Yamu beach in Phuket was hit with another charge of holding two registered pistols because gun ownership is restricted to Thai citizens, Naewna newspaper said this afternoon (Mar. 8).

Mr. Urs Fehr, or David, 45, allegedly kicked Dr. Thandao Chandam, attached to Dibuk Hospital, as she sat on the stairs watching the moon on the night of Feb. 29.

After former Democrat Party MP  Mr. Watchara Phetthong urged the Interior Ministry to revoke the licence for two pistols Urs held, Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said foreigners do not have the right to hold firearms and this is wrong from the start.

“No need to go to the revocation stage, this is considered as adding another charge, previously he was hit with being a social danger which is already heavy,” Anutin said.

The widely recognised most dangerous snake is the Black mamba, not the most venemous, still deadly, but because of it's speed and aggression.

Agree on the geckos but they are a nuisance,I've had 2 microwaves ruined because they've got in and shorted them out

Not many Mambas, black or otherwise in Thailand.

    If so, those are Texans.

    That's a different country.

Yes Parker did always seem a bit dodgy.... well he did have a very big nose!  (Don't worry I won't break into Monty Python stories).

Didn't know Windsor Davis was tied into it all... amazing.

There were a lot of 'kids' programmes back then that seemed harmless enough.

Nowadays people bring up all the so called alternative meanings from those and many other programmes.

Magic Roundabout, Captain Pugwash to name a few more.  Apparently innuendo was rife.  Not that I noticed at the time.

    Roger the cabin boy? Nah.😉

Learning to swim should be high on the list, even basic floating and keeping the right way up would keep them alive long enough for someone to notice.

We are lucky in that the Thai grandkids all swim like fish and adore using our small pool, it's actually unclear exactly where they learned to swim but they do live near the river.

Sadly, when we have other family visiting the youngsters all need floaters and constant adult supervision, and they don't seem to get any more confident in the water over time.

Get them learning whilst in school!!

In the article there is no mention of swimming lessons. Over the years I have ensured that my nieces and nephews can swim by teaching them myself. A degree in higher education is useless if you are in dep water and can't swim. I have repeatedly suggested in various forums that the military open up their sports facilities, including swimming pools to schools in their area for a couple of mornings a week perhaps. Hotels and resorts could do the same and be reimbursed for the facility. An average of four children a day drown here in Thailand. Where is the Sports Minister on this  subject. Most developed countries have swimming lessons in their schools curriculums.
