  1. Raise the standards of teachers and pay them a living wage. This new govt. have earmarked 2 a measly 2.4% of GD for education. They need to start investing in their Human Resources and more science, technical and vocational training.
  2. Thailand seems to enjoy messing on its own doorstep and this outrageous attitude has led to death because of incompetence or the spirit of pure greed. The hospital director should be arrested and the owners called to account. Another reason for tourists to stay away from Thailand. Was this hospital part of Dusit Medical services/ Bangkok hospitals.?
  3. But beware of the sizes which are different from UK,Us sizes.
  4. There are always apps and Zoom to stay in contact with family and friends so a minor inconvenience when compared to the advantages of staying away from the hellhole that is UK.which is fast becoming a failed state.

  16. The USA and uk are just 2 examples of countries losing their grip on immigration. Thailand has a fairly firm grip(except For Myanmar) on immigration. Thailand will still want those with sufficient money to stay longer term, particularly those who are educating their children here, employing local people and patronizing the private health care systems. Maybe it will be very different for the low Enders with modest incomes.
  17. Does the British Embassy offer this service?
  18. While you are alive.suggest you put this pension in a QROP. That way it’s outside of uk jurisdiction so no tax liability and the pot will remain intact. Many safe companies out there. I did this 15 years ago and no regrets, yet!
  19. Pay people a living wage so they don’t need to strike.similar problems in the uk too about to begin with strikes at uk passport offices. Staff there have had no pay rises for several years and inflation etc eroding wages. Hope this post and the ones above won’t lead to people looking for forged passports!
  20. A vital point re leadership, but ASEAN leaders also lacking in a decisive leadership plan.. Technology exists in the form of Mulcher machines as an alternative to burning. Govt should encourage this and the sugar industry division forced to use some of their massive profits to fund mulchers. Burning is banned in Europe so why can’t Thailand do likewise to correct such dangerous practices or am I just naive?
