why not get a 60 day extension to visit thai wife, and allow 400.000 baht to season and then get a one year thai wife extesion, with a multi re-entry permit.

She is entitled to free NHS, have to register with doctors, no problem.
MY wife had tests done at the hospital for a heart murmer, whilst on settlement visa.
I am glad that they are checking, to see if people are entitled to nhs treatment, even if on this occasion they were wrong.

To apply for citizenship, a thai married to a uk national has to have been in the country for three years and has to have been physically present in the uk, three years prior to the date the application is received, and having passed the uk citizenship exam, or an esol with citizenship course.
Previous visits on a tourist visa will count as the 'start' date for the appliction, subject to not being out of the country for more than 270 days within the three year period,or not out of the country for more than 90 days in the previous 12 months.
good luck

Hull will send by return post if in UK, send Monday get back Wednesday, special delivery will cost about £6.00 each way. personnel visit by appointment will cost an additional £10.00 making the multi entry £110.00. the nearest airport to hull would be Humberside, but flights to from bkk are normally expensive, with a stop over.

My local beach is phala beach, between u-tapao airport and ban chang, nice and quiet, clean, mainly locals, plenty of trees and some umbrellas set up with no one trying to sell you anything. the water/sand is good for children.

I second koh chang

Its simple after being in Thailand 90 days, you have to report your address to immigration and then every 90 days after that, while you remain.

Why so many farang make the mistake of getting married in the first place? Please list the advantages.
If you do not know the advantages/benefits/reasons for a marriage then no one can tell you, spend your life wondering.

If married a multi entry non immigrant 'o' visa is available from KUALA LUMPER with 100,000 baht in bank account. You would have to do a border run every 90 days, but that visa would give you about 15 months in Thailand.
-
If you are still in Hat Yai, why not do a border run prior to leaving for Bangkok. You do not have to wait until the 90 days are up.

I am arriving in Thailand next week on non Immigrant O multi entry based on marriage issued in Brisbane Australia. I have a international drivers license but would like to get a Thai drivers license mainly to avoid tourist price at national parks etc. Is this possible?
Should be a straight swop, like for like 2 x licences are required one for car one for motorbike, but you will need an Address confirmation from immigration or embassy, if you are having a stop over in Bangkok may be better to get from the embassy while there, see this thread -

The average age of the Thai B747 fleet is 14 years old

Hold on. If it was registered at the Embassy, there must be a record. If they don't have one, I guess he wasn't married and that's that. Mind you, no disrespect, but I am always puzzled/skeptical by stories like this. What, was he p*ssed silly all the time, so much so he doesn't know which amphur he was married at? I dunno, it just doesn't ring true for me.
I can understand why the location of the amphur would be hard to remember, I was married at an amphur in Bangkok, my wife drove us there, through a maze of streets, which at the time all looked the same, I do not know where the amphur was located, but I do have a marriage certificate, 2 are issued.
Looking at the 1st post if they settled in the UK, then UK immigration must of been happy they were married. I thought the idea of recording the marriage at the embassy was to make it possible to get a copy of the marriage certificate at the UK local registry office.
Copies of Thai marriage certificates khor ror 2 and khor ror 3, can be obtained at any local amphur, not sure what details are required.
-
Was he married at the Thai equivalent of a registry office a amphur, did he obtain from his embassy an affirmation of freedom to marry, or did he only have a religious wedding? An amphur would be a legal marriage, and a religious ceremony not legal.

not sure of the price you were looking at but, eva air have prices from £550.00 and £460.00 for child in January, just a thought.
good luck with your planning

three points come to mind,
1 you have to convince the ECO that you are entitled to apply here,
2 you have to show to the ECO that you have somewhere to stay in the UK
3 You have to show that you and your husband, can support you without recourse to public funds.
On a side note how long have you been living together as man and wife? this could make a difference to the type of visa issued

I live out of pattaya, and most things can be repaired here, washing machines, fans, tv's just a short ride away. I think Thailand is far from a throw it away country, and i think that have the attitude that nothing should be thrown away, and everything can be repaired, even if sometimes a bit heath robinson.(primitive)
