  1. She is entitled to free NHS, have to register with doctors, no problem.

MY wife had tests done at the hospital for a heart murmer, whilst on settlement visa.

I am glad that they are checking, to see if people are entitled to nhs treatment, even if on this occasion they were wrong.

  2. laptop usb 3 cards are available, I saw one in tukcom today.

PCI-SATA sata cards are available,2x internal sata +1x internal ide +1x external esata ports,4th floor tukcom, no need to change PC.

USB3 docks were available, as were esata docks,

didn't see any pci express usb3 cards but i would think they would be available.

  3. To apply for citizenship, a thai married to a uk national has to have been in the country for three years and has to have been physically present in the uk, three years prior to the date the application is received, and having passed the uk citizenship exam, or an esol with citizenship course.

Previous visits on a tourist visa will count as the 'start' date for the appliction, subject to not being out of the country for more than 270 days within the three year period,or not out of the country for more than 90 days in the previous 12 months.

    good luck

  4. I am arriving in Thailand next week on non Immigrant O multi entry based on marriage issued in Brisbane Australia. I have a international drivers license but would like to get a Thai drivers license mainly to avoid tourist price at national parks etc. Is this possible?

Should be a straight swop, like for like 2 x licences are required one for car one for motorbike, but you will need an Address confirmation from immigration or embassy, if you are having a stop over in Bangkok may be better to get from the embassy while there, see this thread -

  5. Hold on. If it was registered at the Embassy, there must be a record. If they don't have one, I guess he wasn't married and that's that. Mind you, no disrespect, but I am always puzzled/skeptical by stories like this. What, was he p*ssed silly all the time, so much so he doesn't know which amphur he was married at? I dunno, it just doesn't ring true for me.

I can understand why the location of the amphur would be hard to remember, I was married at an amphur in Bangkok, my wife drove us there, through a maze of streets, which at the time all looked the same, I do not know where the amphur was located, but I do have a marriage certificate, 2 are issued.

Looking at the 1st post if they settled in the UK, then UK immigration must of been happy they were married. I thought the idea of recording the marriage at the embassy was to make it possible to get a copy of the marriage certificate at the UK local registry office.

Copies of Thai marriage certificates khor ror 2 and khor ror 3, can be obtained at any local amphur, not sure what details are required.

  6. three points come to mind,

1 you have to convince the ECO that you are entitled to apply here,

2 you have to show to the ECO that you have somewhere to stay in the UK

3 You have to show that you and your husband, can support you without recourse to public funds.

On a side note how long have you been living together as man and wife? this could make a difference to the type of visa issued
