Spelling doesnt bother me. As long as i get the meaning thats fine.

I have only one gripe, people who dont use paragraphs. They have just one non stop piece of text about 300 words. Well after the first 20 i dont bother reading anymore. There are 2 or 3 posters out there at the moment that probably have very good points to make, but quite frankly i cant be arsed to plough through their posts without the correct spacing

Most of these damm cameras in the UK are calibrated wrongly also the cameras the police use, there was a tv programme on the subject also it has been in the press, but what the h e l l can you do, when you do get a fine, no tel number or contact details, these damm people have got you by the balls, it is another typyical british rip off.

Well on the mobile guns the police carry or the dash mounted ones they have in their cars, they have to be calibrated.

Now this is a true story. My mate was travelling on the A303, down by the andover area, he was going a touch on the fast side, roughly 100mph on a dual carriageway, stupid yes but his mum had just been taken into hospital and he was rushing to get there. Anyway he goes past plod who are standing by the side of their car leaning on the roof with their camera. About 3 miles down the road they catch up and pull him over. He explains the circumstances for driving at such speed, but they werent interested. So he asks to see the calibration certificate for the gun, which in this case was stuck on the side of the gun, surprise surprise, the gun was 2 months over its due calibration date.

This is where camera phones come in really handy, he took a photo on his phone and sent it to me straight away. He was still given the ticket but went to court, and he walked away with no fine and no points. Lucky him, but i wonder how many more people had been caught with this gun in those 2 months, and i wonder how many contested the calibration of the gun or how honest were the police to refund money!!!!

Well, once in awhile, drove to the border of Aran, crossover the cam and drop some money on the table to have some fun. By the way, how far is the distant between the sakaeo town and your wife moo ban.

From Sakaeo, you head to chao chagan and from there it is about 20 minutes or so, depending on mode of transport, last time we grabbed a tuk tuk and it took us about 40 minutes, bloody uncomfortable

According to Panasonic not all versions of MotionStudio can capture through the USB port. The standard way of getting movies out of a DV recorder is through a Firewire (IEEE1394) port. You can buy a card to stick in your PC that will do the job.

Firewire cards are only like £10 as well which makes it even better. Any reccommendations on which card i would need?

My Panasonic came with MotionDV Studio but I have not used it very much yet.

Yeah mine came with dv studio3 but it is rubbish. You cna only edit phots on there, so either i am being thick and missing something, or you will needd to obtan furhter software to edit movies.

Why is the robinsons thread drivel? It is posted in the relavant forum, and it is asking a question that i would like answered. I used the search function to see if a thread already existed asking where i could buy robinsons squash but because there were no results i posted.

Ok i have been asking a dew questions over the last few weeks, trying to work out my plan of travel when we come to Thailand. We have now finalised our plans, and i am seeking some maps and advice of routes for our little trip.

We are starting in Bkk and travelling upto the wifes in Sakaeo by rented minibus, staying here for a week. Then when we leave here we are going to drive to CM. I reckon 3 days to do this comfortably. This is my first couple of questions. Not fussed what route we take, but obviously we will need hotels enroute. I was also hoping to stop in at the fc enroute. So can someone reccommend a large road plan map of Thailand? Also are there any better routes than others? more scenic than others? Am i being realistic in my 3 day estimation?

Thats pretty much it for now, the rest of my plan is when we get to CM and spend a dew days here, hopefully catching up with a few more members. We are then going ot take a train to Bangkok. We could fly but the rest of the family have never been on a train so it will be nice for them. A day in Bangkok and then we are going to fly down to Phuket for a week.

When we get back from Phuket the family will go home and the wife and i will have a week in Bangkok. We will take a couple of days to travel down to Pattaya and catch up with a few members.

So any comments, recomendations on hotels enroute, places to see and things to do?

This is going to be our best trip yet i reckon, lots of travelling but i think worth it to see the look on te families faces when they get to do things they have never done before.
