  2. Dowries should be banned in all religions. It puts unnecessary financial burdens on families and in my eyes is seen as a valuation of a women based on looks and worth.

  6. I don't know why so many are upset with this regulation. Its the same for many countries around the world including the UK although we are a little more Liberal with the amount we can bring in from abroad.

  8. I think the idea of raising interest rates is to stop people borrowing but in a culture where this is endemic, you're right. It will have little effect on the man on the street.
  9. Yes it's free and I don't have the balls to suggest they update it. It's worked very well for many years to be honest, obviously we have not been travelling for a few years and I assume the company doesn't see any need to add Covid cover now the pandemic is easing.

  12. Yes I have a separate long time policy but it doesn't cover covid hence the need to take this worthless insurance policy out separately

  15. Its the Thai way. Loans are endemic in Thai society and if you can borrow at such a low interest rate when globally banks are putting up there irates AND not have to pay anything for 4 years then why not?
  16. Certainly in my country you would be arrested and charged. Whether the case go's to trial is generally down to the CPS. I'm answer to your question, yes, the authorities can hold you in jail especially for cases such as murder
