  1. Strange. Prudential sent me to hospital for a full checkup, and wanted my entire hospital file before deciding on what I had to pay for it or how much they would cover. AIA did the same a long while back, when I was in 20s.
  2. So all that triangle yellow amulet stickers had no effect?
  3. I was under impression that only first 30 year lease was enforceable. Waiting to hear expert opinions.
  4. Found this on iHerb.com for the Shipping help: Seems couriers won't deliver it (see 5.) but local post can, though it would mean it's quite expensive as you'd be limited to... 90? 180? pills/gummies per shipment, which is basically one bottle. https://th.iherb.com/shipping
  5. There were many attempts to revive it, and several in various conditions are still available for sale on eBay. So is its successor, Amiga.
  6. PASSED AWAY.... PASSED AWAY! The kid really should not skip classes with skills like those!
  7. Mine is still P30 Pro. For a 5+ years old phone, it's incredible how many people still use them, and how well it stacks up with modern phones especially in photography arena. I do use iPhone 14 Pro Max, but honestly - despite what, 4? 5? years newer, it comes close in the day with no zoom, but in everything else, Huawei still takes the crown. You can understand why they were such a threat that they had to be destroyed by the west. But for myself, I wish they weren't, as they were capable of bringing us some magnificent products. They were never killed off anyway. Huawei just overtook Apple in sales in China and they are on the way up, some with stocked up chips from before they were cut off, and some developed in house. That's one thing about sanctioning someone - either they'll give up or die (which was hoped for), or they'll double down and throw all they have into recreating everything by themselves. And once they do - how do you stop them then? Having seen P30 Pro inside when being taken apart, the finesse of design inside and outside was amazing. So regardless of where they are from, what they've done, or what Trump thinks of them - they have my respect for what they've engineered. And I'll keep on using mine till it dies. But due to old Android, not put anything important on it, so I guess when it is gone, I'll be forced to replace it with another brand, and I hope there's something out there by then which can at least beat Huawei at the photography game by then.
  8. I actually enjoy United Polaris, and the service in it, just many seats have no windows, but otherwise, I found it excellent, and better than my usual favourite airline ANA. But all that aside, here many are talking about service quality of the airlines. Not the airports, which is what the title of the thread is all about.
  9. In cities, banning ICE vehicles and burning, like BBQ vendors, makes a lot of sense. You remove millions of pollution producers and replace them with a handful of powerful polluters outside the cities. This way cities produce little air pollution themselves. Now you go to cap pollution on these few large targets, where small actions bring large effects. Particle filters in thermal power plants, as well as capturing the CO2 and redirecting it to greenhouses to increase growth, and using heat generated for some other benefits, like supplying hot water nearby so residences no longer require water heaters, etc. There are many things that could be done. But challenges remain the large scale burning of agricultural land and forest clearing, which cause environmental devastation and vast amounts of air pollution. But Indonesia, when there was still political will, did a lot about that. By using satellites to identify fires, and penalise land owners by banning use or confiscation of land for repeat offenders. There are ways. But is Thailand having a political will beyond signing a piece of paper to put anything into practice? Yet to see, but not holding my breath.
  10. I'll recheck that. I was just there a few of weeks back - to repair a botched battery replacement done by Huawei service center in Fortune Town, Bangkok.
  11. "Scherr acknowledged the difficulty -- and cost -- of maintaining the EV fleet during the Q3 earnings call recognizing that collision repairs to EVs "can often run about twice that of a comparable combustion engine vehicle."" They could have saved even more if they stopped renting to id!ots who can't drive.
  12. Diamond Pharmacy (Petcharat Pharmacy) opposite entrance to Siriraj hospital, in Soi Siriraj... that's just across the river from Grand Palace. Big, purple place. Can't miss it. If they are closed for whatever reason, there's another pharmacy right next to it (and then some more) where you can ask as well. From experience so far, their prices are the same, but Petcharat certainly looks the best of all.
  13. Yes, like there's absolutely no police in Pattaya and they never check anyone's documents, also it's right next to the airport and nothing could ever happen between there and the immigration desk at Swampy. I wonder if you'd be happy dealing with police on overstay instead?
  14. Not sure about your model, but if phone needs to be taken apart to replace battery, the Huawei service center at Central Si Racha (some 20km north of Pattaya) is probably the best Huawei service center in Thailand.
  15. They are simply trying to look more like their vintage male companions from farangland...
  16. Of course if he had a police checkpoint or an accident on the way to the airport, it would be very different. Nobody wants to mention that?
  17. "Twentyfiveteen" is such a divisive number! I would have otherwise expected it to drop significantly (like to 0) at Twenty...
  18. Maybe you. Now please start paying child support to bank account number ..........
  19. And for as long as Thailand is full of losers who couldn't get into anyone's panties without widely opening their wallets, or whatever modern digital alternative might be, this is set to continue...
  20. No fireball after impact? EV haters are going to hate this!
