  1. Maybe, but if he helps address at least part of that it would already be better than many before him. Btw: He promised a park next to my house. And he actually delivered. No matter how ridiculous that small plot looks, he actually fulfilled his promise. Now that's a first that I can think of!
  2. At Fitness Last: Long queue at the lockers? No problem, please sir, we open the back gate for you, please go in, someone will bring you to the VIP locker section, where you can put your valuables into the lockers without any prying eyes or those pesky cameras...
  3. What "opens popcorn"?? Buys a popcorn machine! A commercial one!
  4. Such as cutting wages and laying off staff?
  5. There's Fitness First there... this is how the lockers look at it: Familiar?
  6. Stop calling him Thaksin. He's Tony. Tony Handsome... I mean Woodsome!
  7. And then there's priviledge just above it.. Privilege is the correct spelling of the word that means a special advantage. Priviledge is an incorrect spelling of the word. Privilege is a word that is commonly misspelled because it sounds like there could possibly be a “d” before the “g” when people are speaking. https://oneminuteenglish.org/en/privilege-or-priviledge/
  8. They should introduce this on land border crossings so people actually notice.
  9. Well that's the difference between Malaysia and Thailand. There are far better quality tourists that visit Malaysia than Thailand. I no longer need to go there for visas and such, but go instead for relaxation, and it's a much nicer and quieter place to be than most tourist places in Thailand.
  10. Villa carries Maison Jean Phillipe bakery stuff, including their pizza crust, which is excellent. https://www.facebook.com/MaisonJeanPhilippe/posts/from-today-we-have-a-few-new-items-in-the-freezer-section-of-villa-market-suk-33/2791627240963927/ This is googling it, but I've bought it from Villa Market near Emporium before. Previously Pinsa Pizzeria was offering them in Ramkhamhaeng but seems that place closed down. I had them from Pinsa as well, and they were amazing. But note that these can cost as much as a pizza from a pizza chain. Not rubbish like Foodland's or Macro's frozen section offering.
  11. Or even cheaper if you got proper visa so you don't have to run around trying to game the system.
  12. If you have another phone with SIM from same operator, you can open app, select "Pay for others" and top-up from app to account of SIM in your router.
  13. +662 572 8500 or [email protected]. I would try to check if the blue book is with you or if not and you're certain that you forgot it at home, have someone send it over to you, before you return. Missing stamp "which you didn't notice" is much easier to explain than missing book altogether.
  14. Your passport and blue book will both need to be stamped, and since you'll have a big "Non-Quota Immigrant Visa" in the passport, should any mess happen on the way, it can be sorted out with immigration upon your return to Swampy or at Chaeng Wattana. I had a missing stamp in blue book, only passport was stamped, and on return to airport (I went to tourist police as I didn't know where else to ask) someone from immigration got called over, took my passport and came back with that sorted out. Still, I would go to the ones handling your immigration stuff and ask whether you can handle this by yourself or ask to talk to person who would do it, to handle it separately from the rest. As long as your non-quota immigrant visa and endorsement are still valid, you should not have an issue but both books need to be stamped in and out.
  15. Signs outside from a very honest candidate for this area, claiming if elected, he would end the blacklist for loans. Very clever... I suspect there must be his pal somewhere else campaigning with forcing banks to give loans to everyone...
  16. Alternative to moving is to stay in this building until it collapses on them. Then they might get a permanent home 6 ft under...
  17. Estimate value of the art to 1 billion baht and make him pay or sit in jail until he does.
  18. The man who put this in motion is groomed to become Thailand's next Prime Minister...
  19. Some products now have RAM and flash chips soldered to the mainboard and cannot be changed/upgraded. That mostly goes for ultra-slim notebooks but some not so slim models do the same. If you see something like above, it is basically not upgradeable. Assuming you are picking a model that has M.2 and RAM sockets, you could likely get the shop selling you the notebook to upgrade it for you. Some models like HP's ZBook 16/17 Fury/Studio Workstation have a no-screw removable bottom plate, where you can insert up to 4 RAM SODIMM and 4 M.2 SSD sticks. You don't need any tools, and can do it by yourself in 3 minutes. Just make sure you power it off first, before plugging RAM or SSD in. This way you can add (say base model has 16 GB RAM, you can increase that to 112 GB, and say it has 512 GB SSD, you could increase that by added drives to 12.5 TB without removing what's installed), or if removed and replaced to max out, usually a bit more complicated to reach, to 128 GB RAM and 16 TB SSD over 4 drives. I am not aware of any other notebook that can do that. But for most of others, upgrade is possible by removing bottom plate and replacing the original parts. To see whether your desired model has replaceable RAM and SSD, search for that model's teardown or iFixIt repair pages, which show how they look inside and what can/cannot be replaced.
  20. Hey! Stop it! You're offending snowflake, pure as the driven snow...
  21. Which means there is effort put into what they do and money changes hands, hence they would require work permit, right?
  22. From what I understand they have thermal cameras and anyone above 37.5 gets pulled away and given ATK. My colleague in Malaysia says nobody mentioned any costs of that test itself, but if positive, then person would get RT-PCR test and if confirmed positive, would be quarantined, which is charged for. But many details are lacking in their media as well so it's not really clear what happens. So issue is only if someone has fever on arrival, or is showing visible symptoms of flu - which would lead to testing, and only if positive, costs may occur. Didn't get the answer to question whether one has an option to leave the country instead of going through quarantine if positive.
