Red book and blue/white book aren't connected. You need to have blue book from immigration before you can get red book. But while red book needs to be extended every 1/5 years, the blue one does not. If you change passport details, or address, immigration doesn't need to be informed, and in fact even you made a trip there, they'll tell you they don't care about that - information will be updated when you replace blue book. Now the re-entry permit (actually a non-quota immigrant visa and endorsement) is not in any way related to your red book. So when you get that non quota immigrant visa for another year, that won't automatically extend your red book and vice versa. So, you'll need to go to police station to extend your red book. AND you'll need to go to immigration to get your new 1 year non-quota immigrant visa. Each whenever it expires, or for the visa earlier, if you plan to make a trip that would get dangerously close to visa expiry or beyond it. The red book you can extend up to 3 months early, but should be done before it expires. The visa you can apply for whenever practical. If you don't plan to travel anywhere in next year, you don't need to get it.

The immigration likely would not know that your work permit was cancelled, and that therefore extension should have been cancelled. As you never informed immigration, and it's unlikely anyone else bothered, absolutely nothing would happen. They'd stamp you in on the extension of stay.

Apologies. I have no experience on 2013 Civic, but there were many Prius owners (2011-2014) that complained their cars had ... whatever the box that charges battery ... died soon after unofficial battery replacement, and the cost of that part was 200-300k baht. Technology of both is similar so I would saw it might be better to replace from Honda than elsewhere. Unsure about the cost of battery but 70-80k baht seems to be average price for hybrid batteries of that age of Japanese hybrid cars.

Technically, you were supposed to cancel your extension of stay after cancelling the work permit within 7 days. BOI issues DWP but if you had a paper booklet, it's something like that written at the back. As such, even if it's technically still valid, it should have been voided. You might not have an issue entering Thailand on it, but you sure will when you apply for new work permit and new extension of stay. Last time I was doing this for a colleague, they sent us straight to police station to pay fine before they'd process any documents.

Wasn't hybrid Civic just released with 10 year battery warranty? If this is about 2022 model, replacement should be covered by warranty. Else... Asked friend at Honda, official repair is about 80k baht.

IKEA has their own sizes on some of the items, like beds, so if you buy a bed frame from them, often you need to buy the mattress and bedsheets from them as well. Otherwise their quality is good. Bought their kitchen and all except their counter tops was good.

Mine was in English and French, but then it had a bunch of papers stapled in it with translation to many languages, including Thai. When getting it, I was told by the lady issuing me with it that there were 2 types of it and she had to look up which one Thailand recognised. It was only 1 year validity one, not the ... whatever the other one was... 2 years, 3 years, don't know. But as said, the one I've got had Thai translation stapled in.

Farang love Thailand. Farang must pay. PS: And your wife and stepdaughter are quite high maintenance if they cost you over a million a year.
