You know how to spell the word but not what it means , ok but you understood what i meant even if i spelt it wrong . If they recover a unknown white corpse from the river then the body is discribed as caucasion . Not many different ways only the accepted way of what a caucasion is .

Why do people on here call Thailand the land of smiles?
itsari replied to bignok's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
They smile even when they want to eliminate you . -
Corcasian I believe is the correct term .

Not far from the worst . Not every country that has a majority of people not knowing how to use the roads safely and often no license . The facts are not distributed for a good reason .The Thai authorities have no desire to warn off potential tourist's.

The numbers should be shown to incoming tourists and every immigration office for there evaluation of risk . In my opinion the numbers killed on the roads are not displayed to the world well enough . That has nothing to do with being morbid .

I was surprised at the price of 4600 baht for the front headlight set on the honda click 160 . The 125 price is under 1000 baht . The lights are still working but the glass is cracked after a grab rider turned right in front of me staring at his phone .

I have seen policeman riding motorcycles with no backlights working . Yet really , do you need a policeman to tell you what is obviously dangerous for all around you . -

I agree with your main point about the standard of driving in Thailand . I would like to add that there are thousands of motorcycles without lights driving at night . I just do not understand them . One more thing , riding there motorcycles staring at there phone is also mindbending . -

Stick Your Mister Where The Sun Don't Shine
itsari replied to Neeranam's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
In my nine years in Thailand I have always been amused by being termed mister when shopping mostly . I have tried to think why they use the term mister but i come up with nothing . I have tried to explain that we use the word Sir when talking with a customer. Now and then I have been addressed as Sir when in a shop . -
Thai Workers Are A Joke
itsari replied to Brewster67's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
I am pleased for you that you have found capable Thai workers . I have after 10 years found not one capable worker. I found a floor tiler that was competent a few months ago but his problem was he would not turn up for days and then work one more day and again he would go missing .
