No arrests and they have no clue as to who is responsible, however, we still are fed such definitive statements like:
I can assure you that the government and pro-government groups were not involved in the violent incidents, said Lt Gen Paradorn.
-
Old Marcus stuff. Paradon should be sent into exile for this BS of martial law. This is a sure sign of desperation on the part of this government. Won't be long now to the end.
Unsurprising that Thaksin's "brother" Paradorn would make this sort of speculative incitement.
"Thaksin loyalists including Paradorn Pattanathabutr, who was made secretary-general of the country's National Security Council and this month said Thaksin was "like a brother"."

Not being a military person, this seems to me to be a well organised and coordinated military effort, designed to bring about maximum casualties. Any military experts out there that would care to comment (objectively)?. I doubt that random individuals would be able to carry out such an attack.
Nothing particularly difficult about organizing 2 pickups and having grrenades thrown from one and automatic weapons being fired from the second.
A more coordinated effort with maximum casualties as the goal would have resulted in casualty figures in the hundreds, given that 2,000 were in attendance.

That's true
What next? anyone who has worked for the Shiniwatras or continues to work be publically flogged
That's quite a Grand Canyon leap you make from acknowleding it's a peaceful protest to wondering if public floggings are next.

Pretty disgusting using the farmers, who actually have a real grievence, as pawns to further their own attention seeking status.
Disgusting is...
"the TV station had reported that the protesting farmers were not real ones"

How much will this one net him?
Much less than...
"Voice TV is the business owned by Thaksin Shinawatras son Panthongtae Shinawatra. It is widely known as the mouthpiece of the red-shirts and the government."

This is what is called a peaceful protest?
Based on the details given in the OP, yes.
-
.The important point her are that several members (and leaders) of the red movement condone killing of peaceful demonstrators and bystanders, including children. I assume that any poster on this forum defending the two latest bombings also condone killing children for their political sympathies.
Nonsense.....................
Nobody condones any killings.

.I think you guys should tone it down a bit, you'll get ThaiVisa shut down on Thai servers with all your Red v Yellow crap, I dare to venture many of the posts are slanderous.
If you feel so strongly, get your azz off to the protest sites, stop keep endangering the existence of this forum on Thai servers with your childish posts !
Besides, if Thaksin came back and changed the law so that long term Farangs could get 10 years visas with no 90 days reporting, you'd all think he was the best thing since sliced bread.
He already did change it.
It's his brainchild known as the Thai Elite Card and its not thought very highly of.

Rather a big "if" there.......A few months after the Red shirts were put down by the army a wave of bombing hit Bangkok with a number of injured people, I do not remember if there were any deaths. I believe after some negotiations with and concessions to what has become the PTP the bombings stopped. It does appear these bombings are geared to cause fear in the general population and cause a drop in support for Suthep and his supporters.
If these bombs are set off by government supporters then it says little about the morals of the government and the people who represent it.
Given their past history, not such a big "if".

To make it easy for you I'll stop responding
Thanks.

Trat?!?!
I thought all the anti-government protesters were rich elite in Bangkok or radical Deep Southerners according to several TV experts.
Sad to say!
When they stray out of their stronghold of Bangkok, and attempt to recreate in other parts of the country the havoc they created in Bangkok under the protection of the Rich E.E allies, they will be met with resistance,
Cheers
Uh.... sorry to ruin your nonsense, but these were local Trat people rallying.
Thanks, though, for confirming that gross inaccuracies are frequently frothed by some TV experts.

From THAI POST very bad English Translation Im afraid
So bad, one shouldn't bother posting.

It's amazing that this happened at 9:30 last night and that there is still so little news on it.
Wifey just talked with her friends and they say a few deaths but can't see any news on tv about what appears to be quite an organised attack which is both amazing but sadly expected on what passes for news in Thailand.
ThaiPost is reporting 3 killed.

a lot ARE being paid to come up.. they just are.
Well that's irrefutable evidence..."they just are"

Hopefully, the bank branch isn't burnt to the ground by arsonists.

Ok I'll give you the argument.
Now please just answer the easy bit. What have you ever said that is funny and prove it.
Video yourself laughing at your opening line "Like I just said in another post, everybody hates the redshirts lol"
I understand if everything I said went over your head, I'm just interested in humour now. As an avid reader and watcher of comedy, I just can't fathom the LOL you used.... really
PP (or whoever you used to be), what is the point of this nonsense? If you have a problem with someone's posts, then PM them to discuss the issue. None of us are interested in whether he has used LOL correctly or not. This forum is for mature debate on important issues...!!
It's his way of trying to make this a good site like it was in its early days.
I'm off thaivisa now
was such a good site in the early days
Indeed, the "early days" of last night were better.

Surely the unasked part of this story is where a local red MP got 30 million baht in readies for a publicity stunt?
Perhaps Prasert was confused and thought he was campaigning for an election again.
December 25, 2007
Prasert Chantraruangthong, Linda Cherdchai and Boonlert Krutkhuntod, who won in constituency 3 in the northeastern province, were yellow-carded after they were caught with cash and a list of eligible voters

This would make an interesting article / investigation.
Yes and the guards/thugs claim they have the right to frisk you. More than once I have seen the guards where I live (MBK intersection) beat people. Or steal their money and phoneProtest GUARDs ONLY in Amazing Thailand

At least two times there have been articles in Bangkok Post about the thugs/guards in this intersection. They even robbed one police
That policeman should call the police.

Sounds like you or someone should call the police.

Some of suthep's boy from down south coming to help suthep kill some more people. This is the kind of stuff the people from down south do everyday.
If Southern extremists were going to explode bombs in Bangkok, they would not bomb an anti-government rally site.
They would bomb Yingluck's home.
Red Shirts, on the other hand, would bomb an anti-government protester rally site, as they have their own bomb experts and have a gripe with the protesters.

I do not know if most of the Korat people are red shirts or not, what I do know is that the vast majority of the Korat people, Issan people and Thais outside of Bangkok in general are fed up with sutheps fascist nonsense and want to see him and his hooligans run out of Bangkok and get their capitol back to what passes for normalMost of the Korat people I know are NOT red shirts. Maybe it's the company I keep. Their holding meetings there gives the wrong impression that it's red country.

Certainly highlights what happens to someone going against a Shinawatra administration like Somchai did.
