  1. I got Dengue from mosquito in a Pattaya hotel during the day.
  2. Years ago the soi dogs were culled but the western do gooders put a stop to it.
  3. Apologies, as said thought you were coming from Bangkok. From Pattaya best bet is a minibus from the filling station at the top of Pattaya Klang and get off at Robinsons.
  4. Yes, I didn't notice it was the Pattaya forum and for some reason got the impression that he was coming from Bangkok. After all, who would question going from Pattaya to Sri Ratcha on a motorbike.
  5. And who watches the USA currency manipulation? Every country in the world does what it can to protect the currency. Last year when Liz Truss tanked the pound the BOE intervened. Didn't see any threads on UK currency manipulation then.
  6. Thanks for that. I am flying in shortly and was following the airlines, not that it makes a great deal of difference as I have the certificate.
  7. There are always some that get away with it, and then there are others.
  8. "progress" doesn't really seem like an appropriate word. As webmasters become more sophisticated they are becoming more selective, for a variety of reasons.
  9. A test is listed as a requirement if you are unvaccinated and the poster wasn't particularly explicit. If they do not check your vaccination status it wouldn't be a problem.
  10. It is not a question of agreeing with your statement. You have disagreed with this statement "so she says she is open to a booster so as to reduce the chance of giving the virus to me" Obviously the concept of "reduction" is outside your comprhension.
  11. My wife and her brother had pfizer boosters at the government hospital in Chonburi a couple of days ago. You would normally need to be registered at a government hospital to be eligible. There are only 2 in Pattaya and I have heard the one in Soi Bukhao is not very friendly, may be worth asking at Naklua.
  12. Quite arrogant to think that people want pages and pages of unrelated garbage.
  13. You are wrong, you are stating your interpretation. If someone wants a stamp in their passport, it all depends on that random IO or office.
  14. As I said you are free to believe what you want but should refrain from stating it as fact. Every time we have been to immigration in the last 8 years my wife has reconfirmed the position on TM 30 and they have always been very specific that the TM30 is not required if you return directly to the previous address. As I have always done that for the past 13 years the TM30 has never been a problem, only ever done the one TM30 and that is still in my passport. I came back in Aug this year on new E-visa and have recently done 12 month extension. In Nov 2019 I went to Vietnam and got ME Non O which 7 months later, and obviously included a border bounce, was subject to 12 months extension. These are facts which of course you are free to dispute. The laws are translated and the correct interpretation is in the eye of the IO concerned.
  15. You are free to think what you like but the TM30 in my passport is dated 2014 and I have had many new visas and extensions since then. At the end of the day you are wrong to make out what you say is fact.
  16. Feel free, obviously the main point of the thread went over your head. "Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, president of this association, said excise tax on jet fuel was cut to 20 satang per litre from 4.726 baht for six months starting January."
  17. That is not strictly true, you can return on a new visa to the same address without needing to file a TM30. Also you can only return from outside the country without the the need to file TM30 if you return directly to the previous address. The OP is not returning directly to the previous address so strictly speaking should submit TM30. This of course would only ever become an issue if picked up at some future visit to immigration.
  18. It is the cost of being able to maintain your permission to remain in the country continuously. How many other countries allow visitors to remain in the country continuously for so little expense, if they allow it at all.
  19. Stay in context, the OP relates to Thai budget airlines. My niece has been at uni in CM for over 3 years and during that time the airfare has been fairly stable in the 800 - 1000 baht range. A return flight to HCMC in Vietnam has been fairly stable for several years in the order of 3500 baht. Of course you will find instances where the price has deviated from the average.
  20. This is the list of supporting docs from the E-visa application. You do not need to answer both financial questions, you can give income under question 4 or capital in question 10, best to think in terms of the 12 month extension, equivalent of 400K baht. You must upload something for every question so where you may not want to, you can write something on a piece of paper, take a photo and upload that. For question 9 you can get your wife to send a note on Whatsapp or something with address and tel no and upload that. Good luck. Official Website of Thailand Electronic Visa_4.pdf
  21. "also applies to the 50% increase as well." Why the compulsion to distort the context?
  22. You mean that fictional 50%.
  23. Quite. The covid situation came at a significant cost to the airlines with precautions, refunds etc alongside the increase in fuel. It is not any surprise they will try and recoup some of the loss. The OP however relates to a reduction in fuel duty here in Thailand, something many choose to ignore.
