I have not read this entire thread but if it was just about money, you would think that she could find another foreigner easily enough - she is young and very pretty. She must know that the chances of her getting into Germany now are slim. So unless he was giving her and her family massive sums of money, there would be no reason to support the husband if not for real feelings....or at least some attraction, which she might not find with a much older foreigner
maybe he was the highest bidder,
or maybe the drug trade pays very well,
maybe she thinks there is a big pay day coming?

She intends to follow him to Germany to support him.
You can't make that up, can you?
maybe shes following him to germany so he doesnt run away or until she gets bank account details?

Sadly this is way too common. My first "girlfriend" (bar girl) in Thailand started out fine the first month, then crazy the second month, then insane the third month including attacking me biting and scratching on the street a couple of times, with a knife at home (I disarmed her), and when I said that if she doesn't stop the violence I'll leave her she went to the balcony and threatened to jump. That's when I've had enough and on my next trip overseas I didn't return. Lesson learned and I've never dated a bar girl since.
ive always wondered, if I had the sanity, hindsight and calmness, I would say
"go on, Jump off, but please dont make a mess when you splat as its hard to get blood off the concrete, and please dont land on the homeless dog because you wont injure him, good night"
and close the door and curtains
no prizes on guessing how theyd react

1. You do not know how many people fall from balconies in other countries, unless each other country has a forum like this and you follow all the news headlines
2. Not many people leave their brain when travelling to other countries, Thailand has special stupid gas which is released once you enter Thai air space
3. There is hardly ever a follow up to any of the balcony fallings, to assume balcony to blame, not the hookers or ladyboy's and seeing how short fused many Thai are, it is hardly surprising many altercations end up in serious injury or death
disgaree, most people on the plane seem to behave normally,
their IQ drops once they arrive at Suv or DMK airport ????????

A lot of talk about thais and their irresposnbile attitude towards money, which is fair enough,
however, if this is the case, what is the lending market like in thailand,
eg if this attitude is prevalent, if a bank gave a credit card to a thai, than they must know that the chances of defaults are high
do they simply have higher interest rates to cover bad debts?
do they have a far stricter/harsher bankruptcy/default process?
do they only give credit to very credit worthy people?
serious question fellows

There was the throwing of boiling hot noodles at the air hostess, then the Chinese kid taking a big dump on the footpath just a few meters from the malls toilets and now the delaying of a flight with the Mother lying down thinking they will wait for them. Such stupid tourists honestly.
We have this program called border security in Australia. One day a Chinese woman arrived with suitcases full of food and she didn't declare it, so they fined her. She said she would not pay, created a scene. They left her alone sitting on a bench, the customs shift changed, new staff on board, she's still sitting there. 12 hours later she decides she's had enough, pays the fine and off she goes. Why waste everybody's time. Not the smartest people in the world that's for sure.
and dont forget how virtually all of them think the fine is negotiatble, and if they say they have no money, the customs staff will simply say "oh thats ok if you dont have any money, just pass through and forget about the fine"
next minute they pull out $1000
isnt this the classic definition of losing face? or does it only apply to them when it suits them

so whats the problem?
Its a win win for everyone
trouble maker misses flight,
other tourists on the plane get a taste of their own medicine of their own behavior
Love it how the Chinese think its ok to break/bend the rules and that it doesnt apply to them

Back to the OP, can't imagine immigration admitting someone who's admitted arson into the country again, ever.
I certainly wouldn't.
If you insist on trying, I would suggest ............
Get a new passport, have a holiday in Cambodia, see if they'll let you in at a Thai land border.
I spilt my drink reading that
Funniest thing I've read this week

UK lottery statistics are irrelevant and do not affect Thai players' odds.
It is no more a mug's game than anywhere else, lottery-winning odds are always astronomical regardless of the country and the underground lotto here does not make any guarantees; players can be arrested, operators can be arrested and winnings are subject to the illegal operator actually paying out. That won't happen with the official lottery neither will anyone win B3m for B80 underground! And, obviously, more players lose than win on the underground lottery also.
The government lottery is not a scam, to say that it is a scam, with empirical evidence that it is not, is ridiculous beyond belief but typical of a Thai-basher.
Seems always there is one person in a bunch who thinks casinos are scammers Lottories are scammers and everything's are scammers and they got it all worked out
Unless the odds are rigged or numbers are rigged or there is no prize it's not a scam
It's up to people to decide if they want to partake in it
when are the odds in a foreign country are better or worse has nothing to do with it

I'm confused as to what happened too.
It was a straight road, yeah he was way too fast, but it looked like he just drifted off the road at speed.
I've ridden bikes all my life, and I've had my fair share of accidents, usually from my own stupidity, hence my clavicles are trashed; too fast into a turn, lent over a bit too far, hit some gravel, all the usual suspects
But I can't say I ever lost it on a straight piece of road like this dude did.! Almost looked like he fell asleep!
Have you ever been at 260?
I assume any little bump/dip/hole could kill you
