I let one of the girls at the Cambodian Immigration office take care of everything, I know when I did it five years ago I only paid 300 baht over the visa fee for an in an out, so yes 2700 baht was a lot more, could I have just gotten a visa and tried to go across and come back on the same day, maybe I don't know for sure, wasn't going to argue with them, just wanted to get it done with no hassle, only doing it to get my OA cancelled, next day I went to Immigration and applied for an O Visa, was supposed to get approval today, October 3rd, called them to make sure it was ready and they said call back in the afternoon which I will do shortly

Just did the Cambodian visa run a couple of weeks ago with my own vehicle, if you want to do an in an out on the same day it is 2700 baht, if you don't want to spend that much you will have to stay overnight

What do I have to do to get you to understand, history is what history is, I worked in Bangkok from 68-70, that is where my history started, not in 2016 when I moved here full time, tons of trips in between I swear this is the whole truth and nothing but the truth. So basically what you are saying is if you have not lived here full time you have no history. That is what the woke people want to do, delete all history.

what difference does it make how long I have lived here, I didn't come here on a holiday. I was gifted a two year tour in Bangkok from 68-70, got married to a Thai in 1969, didn't move here until 2016, more than enough time in country to know how things work here, I was never asked for it at Immigration, I was allowed to use it instead of having to show a lease contract, have my own house here, of course it really isn't mine is it, I don't know what you call BS on, but when I go to do my extension in late December you are more than welcome to come with me.

Re-entry permit or not?
flexomike replied to Confuscious's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Just for clarification did you have a single or multiple re-entry permit -
You must be more Thai then the Thais, get off your pedestal, my history here started in 1968, 45 years of marriage to Thais, I think I have a pretty good idea of how the social system works around here, have a lot of friends that have the pink card and not one of them has ever said anything about a Thai laughing at them when they show it, are you talking from personal experience you must have some pretty sad friends

Used mine every year for the last six years at Rayong Immigration, I thought you were a Thai citizen why are you so interested in the yellow book, you find way to much hard to believe, better buy some more crypto and get your mind off of this subject, let people who actually can use it make their own decisions

it can be used for a lot more things than just renewing your DL, along with the pink card I have opened up a bank account, use it yearly at Immigration for my extension, used at the Post Office, got discounts at some National Parks with it along with getting DL renewed, it doesn't get used a lot, but for me it was easy to get and has been well worth it.

Introduction to Thai Immigration
flexomike replied to chinajohn69's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If she has a Thai passport and she entered on that Thai passport there is no way she can be on overstqy, why would she be dealing with immigration on an in country flight? Are you sure that something isn't getting let out of this story. How long had she been in Thailand when this happen, 42 days, If so than she must have entered on her UK passport. -
