  1. And per usual you reply in an insultive manner but missing the point. Please read again. Intelligence might increase. The average IQ will not. Hope that helps you understand your misunderstanding.
  2. This doesn't make sense. Per definition the average IQ will be exactly 100 because it's a normal distribution with mean 100. "mean" is a synonym for "average". In other words the IQ is defined to have the value 100 for the average of raw scores.
  3. This overly broad statement does not represent the reality. There will be many foreigners who have had no tax liabilities for some of their income in Thailand and now suddenly they will have a considerable tax burden because income that wasn't taxed before now suddenly will be. Just an example: capital gains on US stocks for a non-US person that does not bring those gains into Thailand. Before he was exempt and now he suddenly will be faced with Thailand wanting to tax those gains. As a lawyer you should know better to carefully phrase things that can have big ramifications.
  4. If a society does a certain thing like wearing masks then that is normal. Normal means what most people are doing. That you have to call people wearing masks as "bewildered", "lost" or "gotta be the one who" shows that you fail to understand that some people might be more vulnerable in terms of immune system or maybe they have a cold and wouldn't want to spread it. Some companies have clear rules about safety measures and can require wearing a mask. Do I think everyone should wear a mask right now? No. But to be so obsessed with others wearing a mask and ranting online about it... come one guys, get over it. To make you feel superior?
  5. Correct. An accident is something unintentional. She had the intention to crash the car. Same as 9/11 was not a airplane accident.
  6. Yes you can enter Malaysia on a motorbike, I did it earlier this year. Here is a relatively recent thread about the same topic with all the relevant info: As usual it is advised to first use the search function, there is a lot of info on this matter.
  7. If you think wearing masks is a sign of mental illness then it might be time to move? Maybe to the UK? After all who'd want to move in a place full of mentally ill people, right?
  8. It's not just the cc that make the difference. There must be a different bore/stroke ratio and/or camshaft changes. The peak torque went up in the rev range. The 125 did 10.8Nm at 5000RPM and the 160 does 13.8Nm at 7000RPM. Overall the peak output went from 8.2kW to 11.3kW for an increase of nearly 38% with a bump in cc of just under 26%. That's pretty decent gains and should indeed be noticeable.
  9. You know what they say about opinions... If you are trying to say something, please just say it. Don't post vague hints.
  10. Not necessarily. They have digital work permits for a few years now. I don't have a paper based work permit but I do have a work permit. But yes, work permits are not granted by immigration.
  11. Yes and yes. Capital gains will be mostly tax free for foreigners that are not tax residents or citizens in the US but due to the new regulations you'll likely be liable for tax in Thailand. Only capital gains from trades on the SET (and a few other exeptions) are exempt. The new regulations are still not 100% clearly understood though. Dividends will have 15% automatically withheld by the broker if using US broker due to the double taxation treaty between US and Thailand. I have not used a Thai broker so far but I can't image it being better. If anything I'd imagine it can only be worse.
  12. This one is a banger! How exactly does BJ know the price that his subordinate would ask for if bribed by an illegal gambling ring? I can already see the defense: Your honor. It clearly could not have been my team members. They would not accept a measly 3M THB, they have a much higher price tag!
  13. Spending over 50 million Baht a year for police operations out of his own pocket from the inheritence of his rich wife? Haha that even beats borrowing expensive watches from a dead friend. And of course he and his relative... sorry friend have conflicting stories. Friend: I'm not collecting rent. BJ: I'm paying 50k in rent. Classic mistakes by people being questioned by investigators. He should know better ????
  14. Yea I am well aware of the tariffs. While it says unofficial it's just because they like to not take any responsibility if something was mistranslated. They are the official tariffs on the offical PEA site. The link goes to the tariffs as of Januar 2023 btw, not 2015. They have changed quite a bit since 2015 ???? If BritmanToo kept his low usage for another month he would qualify for free electricity (under 50kWh) as a poor Thai as you put it ????
  15. Because there was a temporary discount for the FT as you know. That was never ment to be permanent. The discount is over. You also consumed more units and the rate is not fixed but variable depending on usage. The 10% higher unit count will be all in the highest bracket of your consumption ladder. These two factors (mostly the FT) lead to a higher average rate than you had before. But without the reduced rate as per OP you'd go back to an even higher average price per unit. I do think the reporting can be misleading beause people who don't understand how an electricity bill works will just think they should pay 10% less. It doesn't help that the reporters always just speak about some price per unit as if it was fixed.
  16. Yea I mean we're talking 150cc scooters here. Not going to try to drag knee on one. Don't need multi-compound rubber either.
  17. The product posted to which I replied has 73Wh battery. Less than some laptops or powerbanks. Size matters indeed.
  18. You can put laptops in check-in luggage. Anyways, this is getting off-topic.
  19. What's the difference between that and a powerbank, laptop or anything else with a battery? Why is it a higher risk?
  20. Maybe you need to look deeper into the barrel ???? There are way way worse tires than IRC. Maybe the ones for scooters are not of the same quality as for bigger bikes but the ones I tested for the CBR are really not that bad. Not hard and grip is pretty decent. And yes, also tried them in the wet. My buddy did thousands of km on these and didn't have a single time where he thought they were dangerous.
  21. Oh no! What a shock! Kwasaki was a very valued member of the forum, a real old timer but kept the pace! I didn't always agree with him but always could work it out. One thing I am 100% convinced of: Kwasaki had his heart in the right place. What a loss for family, friends and everyone who got to cross his path. May you rest in peace buddy!
  22. I don't know if I can believe this. I think it could have been a ghost as well...
  23. COVID-19 is the disease. The virus is a coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2. Where do you think the D in COVID-19 comes from?
  24. I usually use tires from the big brands like Pirelli, Metzeler, Michelin etc on my big bikes, the only one I avoid is Dunlop. Gave my CBR500R to a friend for a while and he tried IRC and was happy with them. Rode the bike myself and have to say they are really not bad. For a scooter I wouldn't hesitate to go with IRC if there are decent savings to be had.
