  1. I want to get rid of them because of their religion! I want all foreigners that truly believe in any religion shipped back to their superstitious poop hole countries. Obviously that doesn't include any British Christian clergy, as most of them don't believe in God either, and seem to consider themselves self appointed social workers. But essentially, there should be no place for the superstitious in civilized countries and belief should exclude all from government or public services.
  2. My eyesight ain't that good, I can barely see the person sitting next to me.
  3. I'm the only Brit in my gated village of 250 households. There's also any Italian guy, but he only speaks Italian. Nearly all middle class Thais, nurses, schoolteachers, lawyers, managers, etc.
  4. Thailand make is more difficult for foreign tourists to come. And are then surprised when less come! When I think back to 2009 when I first came ......... Posted off for a 1 year Non-O, with a cheque for 120GBP (Birmingham consulate), over 50 reason to stay, want to look around Thailand. Passport returned within 5 days.
  5. If you have the three button controller. Pressing and holding the top button usually switches the lights on and off.
  6. I was talking to Spider Mike not a random troll.
  7. Hardly a victim, I've had worse injuries stubbing my toe!
  8. You'd be OK with a bunch of Thais hanging out at your front gate playing music/drinking/chatting loudly late at night?
  9. Also don't lock your account within the app, as it's also unlocked using facial recognition.
  10. Property was rented. His landlords stairs encroached on public property.
  11. Me neither, but facial recognition is the way the Bangkok Bank app on new smartphones is now enabled. So without it, you'll be stuck with your existing phone forever.
  12. It's very easy, Voluntary contributions made to years before 2016 (new pension start) rarely make much difference to your pension expectations. Its years after 2016 that make the difference. If you had asked the Future Pensions "what years should I buy to increase my pension?" They would have told you.
  13. He should have left when he had the chance.
  14. I feel safer in my gated village, than I do out in the public areas.
  15. I don't socialise with anyone. I prefer to stay at home with my rabbits!
  16. School is free up to age 12, then the schools start changing, and many Thais just can't afford the high school fees. My local government high school demands 4kbht/term, my son's government high school charges 5kbht/term. I'm already paying another kids fees, but I can't afford to help everyone.
  17. High schools, so they have 11 years speaking the local language first, and nearly 80% of Thais never attended high school.
  18. Well, my MiL is definitely Thai, and she only speaks some village language. When she comes and says (rarely) there are only three other old ladies in our gated village (250 households) that can chat with her. Now there might be a majority of Thais that can speak Central Thai as a second language, generally they don't, and they won't.
  19. I thought it was the Dems that wanted men to compete in the womens sports and hang out in the womens toilets and changing rooms?
  20. I prefer to think of it as 'hiring them for a test drive'.
  21. Yeah it does, but mainly about groups of animals. flock of geese, murder of crows, herd of cows, pack of dogs, etc.
  22. You and your fantasies, eh Fred! How are the fairies at the end of your garden doing these days?
  23. or ........ I've told you to stop bringing your work home.
