  1. FYI, I was paying between 2,000bht and 2,500bht for a direct return flight to Hanoi/Da Nang/Saigon in 2019/2020. As a Brit no VISA required, I used to go there for the weekend.
  2. I guess COVID stopped the 1,000bht flights direct to Da Nang ..... that's a great pity.
  3. Last time I flew Chiang Mai to Da Nang it was a direct flight.
  4. Definitely syphilis, go to the local hospital for treatment.
  5. It was part of my BPH treatment at government hospital. I've stopped having it now.
  6. i always used to call in sick the next day when I felt bullied by my managers. Worked like a charm every time, not that I had to do it often. Maybe 5x in 20 years.
  7. Before COVID my kid graduated university and found work at 18kbht. Then COVID hit and they reduced her wage to 11kbht, so she changed jobs and earned 16kbht. Now they've transferred her to Nakon Sawan on 20kbht + free condo.
  8. YOUR dependence on fossil fuels ....... some of us have solar power.
  9. Every girl I ever dated was doing it for money (or in the hope of a free house and car).
  10. Download the 'wise' receipts as proof of foreign transfer. Immigration should accept them.
  11. Usual effects are random anger/violence/mood swings. I lived with an addict for ages.
  12. UTI is a pain, I usually take a 1/2 dose of Cipro or NorfloxStar for 5 days. (1/2 tablet 2x a day) Blood in urine after exercise is my symptom, recurs every 2 months or so. No PSA test problems though. But nearly all my BPH symptoms have gone after taking the antibiotics a few times. I no longer need to take tablets to wee.
  13. Do those posters who expect us to only eat Thai food also insist on only drinking Thai whiskey themselves? Just wondering!
  14. Looks good enough to me. If I were buying the bits myself I'd choose better quality, but there's enough there, and the pool looks nice. Always surprised that Asians don't know how to cook toast, it ain't difficult!
  15. I always thought that EVs was a sneaky way for the governments to clear the roads of all the poor people, so the rich would have an easier drive. Solar provides around 75% of my household energy in Thailand. Obviously that wouldn't work in the UK.
  16. As most of the dead people were stabbed, maybe the government should rethink allowing knife ownership as well.
  17. Almost anyone that thinks solar and wind power are the only way forward. It's a destructive (to our civilisation) fantasy!
